Everyone has different tastes, you're right. Whenever building a new kitchen we will always listen to our clients needs and wants to build the kitchen of their dreams.
@@NewKeyConstruction agreed with the above. The only remotely functional concerns were the cabinet to the upper left of the sink, and, arguably the trash can. Everything else was purely a matter of taste!
Yes when looking at houses we try to avoid ones where we’d be pulling out perfectly good features just for our taste. For both budget and eco reasons. I understand it can be frustrating if everything else about a house is good. And it also means we end up taking on houses which require too much work!
Just spent a year renovating my kitchen. I was amazed as to how many people wanted to input their ideas and design features into MY kitchen - even the contractor! But in the end, it's mine and I paid for it and I got what I wanted. I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings because I didn't pick out typical granite or subway tiles that they liked lol. And people laughed at my lava lamp pendant lights but they all agree now that they are pretty amazing. In the end, get what you like! It's your kitchen!
Susan, Thank you so much for commenting. Well said! 🙌🏼 Each project is special for the person hiring us. At the end of the day we are here to serve our clients needs and wants. For this project, our clients wanted "the heart of the home" to be there own.
I enjoyed both before and after. The after however has a lot better flow and feel to it. If the owner felt like the previous kitchen was outdated I am not shore how they will feel about this one in about 5 years since it Seems very trendy
The kitchen is tiny with no storage and the owners are more concerned with the appearance. I would have redone the floor plan if I was going to fix this kitchen. I would have also moved all the outlets on the back splash and added toe kick and under cabinet lighting on motion sensors and dimmers.
Katherine thank you for sharing. A lot of flip kitchens unfortunately have not been thought through as well as poor quality materials. Being able to customize your own space makes the home feel more yours. All the best.
Great job! I hope you donated that original kitchen with the cabinets & countertops to Restore! If you didn't then in future projects I encourage you to donate all usable good condition cabinets & appliances to Restore. They are like a thrift store with many locations in the Bay Area, but for construction materials and all of their profits go towards Habitat for Humanity. They also pick up the donations. So don't put perfectly good stuff in the dump when remodeling donate it to Restore!
Lucy Goo Goo, white shaker is really popular right now. I heard this style was popular in the Craftsman era 1870-1930 with simple straight lines. Painted white cabinets brings a bright feel to a smaller room.
No design flaws, just design tastes.

My style preference was for the before kitchen but the homeowner has to feel like it expresses their taste.

Beautiful craftsmanship!
Thank you
I don't see what's wrong with this gorgeous kitchen. I would be so happy with it.
If you live local we can always add you to our list of people who want items we remove.
Love the remodel of the kitchen. It was actually beautiful before and after.
Thank you ☺️
SOLID 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯
Thank you Keno

Anezka, thank you for commenting. Glad you enjoyed it. We will have to check in 5 years from now to see 😊
I like the continuation of crown moulding!
Thank you for sharing Cami. We definitely agree 👍🏼

Thank you sharing your feedback. Love some of your ideas! In this specific scenario the clients liked the layout, but wanted more their style.
Really liked this remodel! I just moved into a house this year with a remodeled, poorly thought through kitchen. Sharing this!

I don’t get the stark white kitchen thing. Just looking sterile to me and floating shelves will just collect dust.
Hope that you are carefully recycling and reusing good materials that are just not their preference.
Thank you for your comment and concern 🙌🏼. We do have a list of people and vendors that make new homes for materials that are salvageable.
Beautiful but where is the dishwasher?
Thank you. Scroll to 3:58. It's on the peninsula.
@4:44 Wow that is such a cool feature.
Seth, we love it too!
Well I wouldn’t call the stove s design flaw lol. More like not wanting to replace a perfectly good stove.
The old stove went to a new home 😊. The stoves with the high fine on the back are much less than the ones without. Sometimes it comes down to budget.
What are the approximate dimensions of that kitchen?
Approximately 12' X 15'
Wow good job 👏🏾
Thank you Tia

Thank you Natalie. We appreciate your concern. Good quality used items always find a new home 😊
Very Nice
where did you find the blind corner shelves?
Check with the designer on this one. Julie Holland with Stonewood kitchen and bath purchased most of the finishes for this project
Theres no diswasher ??

Rich people problem. When it's time to sell my place, I won't bother to renovate. As is!
Selling as is may be the best for your scenario. Consult some local realtors to make sure you aren't leaving money on the table.
So basically its like every other kitchen and house now? Sterile white and bland. Will be outdated in a few years
