CFL Week Nine: Toronto Argonauts vs. Calgary Stampeders

The Calgary Stampeders handed the Toronto Argonauts their first loss and won their first home game of the season in a 20-7 victory Friday. The Stampeders (3-5) avoided falling to 2-6 to start a season for the first time since 2004 and halted the winning streak of the defending Grey Cup champions (6-1).

Argos looked pretty ordinary last night. Dave Dickinson definitely out coached Dimwit. Let's hope Kelly's injury does not keep him out too long. The backup quarterback can pick up his bus ticket to the bridge at Buffalo any time.

You shouldn't have to present a Challenge to get a 'roughing the passer' penalty called in the CFL, with not one but two officials in the near vicinity. Bad officiating is fairly common these days in the CFL I've noticed.

I don't understand what takes the refs so long to announce the penalty after the flag. Annoying

The command centre has final say in a lot of instances. They also get the call right, more often than not. A couple long reviews shouldn't diminish the value of the correct call being made after a lengthy review
