My best find was a hand-hammered copper vase that I've determined is a Santa Clara del Cobre piece from Michoacan, Mexico due to its style, red color, and heaviness. I paid $1.70. Value is hundreds, but I'll probably keep it. I could see it was handmade, and it spoke to me as fine things do. It was fun researching it. The copper mnes were in existence in the 16th century and the Purepecha people have been working with copper since then. Check it out - you would love it.
I found the Art Deco “Lovers by Moonlight” Pompeii Bronze Lamp circa 1920s for only $60 at a flea market in Penna…I will ask my friend George the Antique Nomad for his opinion…
I haven't thrifted in ages. Only last weekend I stopped by a random estate sale and stumbled across 2 Verly large vintage ceramic christmas trees, for only $25 a pc. My sole intention was to buy for resale, but I am keeping them both and gifting one to my sister. One I cannot find the style on the internet anywhere(google lens)etc... and the other due to it size can be worth $150 up. Im regretting offering it to my sister. LOL
I found 5 large pieces of studio pottery this past week at 3 different yard sales, 2 pieces of cut glass American Brilliant (2 qaurt bowls) with no imperfections at a thrift for $2 each,(I felt guilty but also pleased.. I'm a believer that crystal/AmericanBrilliant Glass and EPG are on there way back to being desirable!!!) a plaster deer that i plan to paint, a metal abstract bird statue of aluminum, and a pair of heeeaaavvyyy silver ornate candle wall sconces I'd love to turn into electrical but they're too beautiful to ruin as is.. I love thrifting the Red River Valley between GrandForks and Fargo, and the vintage and antique and unique gift shops East of there in lakes country by Bemidji MN.. You'd love thrifting here !!! I'd love to thrift with you and take you to my favorite spots with sure to find too much you want stuff packed in every haunt. ❤ 21:52
Dear Laura and Jesse, I have recently become one of your subscribers. I am a mobility impaired viewer. I used to do yard sales and thrift stores with my best friend of 40 yrs. She passed away 12 yrs ago..I never drove and we would do everything together. .I miss being able to do the things we did as much as I do my friend. I live vicariously through watching your vlogs along with other you tubers. I was born in the 50's , got married in the 70's and had 4 daughters and have 6 grandchildren. I am not a fan of MCM, but I love watching you and Jesse with your youth and enthusiasm. I.have just finishef watching your videos about buying your house. I want to express my happiness for you both. I look forward to seeing what you do to make it the way you dream it to be. I have finished your 50 GWs and trip to Europe. I had a friend who.lived in.the Cotswolds. My mother in law traveled to Germany and Switzerland. .So.those.videos were great. Today I also.watched.your trips to PA and Ohio. You do an excellent job producing these videos. Please keep them coming. Hugs, Debbie
@@MaryObi-v5d I've been in the business for decades, so I know how to spot undervalued items as well and there are a lot of things I know will be valuable someday. Not so much on jewelry though.
I’m fascinated by buying old things. There's something incredibly special about discovering items with a history and character that new things just can’t match. Each piece tells its own unique story and adds a touch of nostalgia and charm to my collection. It’s like finding hidden treasures that connect me with the past and enrich my present.
I thoroughly enjoy watching your trips. Your eclectic taste and good eye are constantly entertaining. I learn from you each time and I have been antiquing for 60 plus years.
@@leftcoastrevivalsI would be afraid to leave it outside in the rain. It doesn't look like it's sealed at all. But it's fantastic. It should be filled with wildflowers and faeries. 🧚♂️🧚♀️
Ah! The famous Wire Hair Fox Terrier! From Nick & Nora Charles "Thin Man" movies, ASTA made everyone want to own one in the late 30s and 40s! SO DARN CUTE!!! ❤🐕
Love your glasses and earrings!!!! Well.. the whole outfit !!! Have you considered doing an episode dedicated to thrifting outfits and handbags and jewelry and shoes for us avid viewers who can never get enough Laura Caldwell??? I'd love tips for thrifting clothing that's vintage and stylish.. it's my weakest thrifting game. Thanks for the beautiful episode ! Always a joy to watch with the vintage and jewelry and landscapes as well !
OMG!!! I was wondering why you were so interested in that little horse, when I saw the priceon the ticket . Then.......... I saw the words "LISA LARSON" on the tag and I actually ""squealed"". I was so happy for you. I have been watching you for years and I feel like I am right next to you while you are vintage shopping. Thanks for bringing so much joy to me, from so far away. What a score on that table and that Japanese vase was stunning! But PLEASE explain why you didn’t pick up the Lisa Larsen Pony? 🐴 I thought that would have been a first sure for you! 🇨🇦👏🙃
Oh my, I’m obsessed with that wicker purse and the tulip table! I’ve also been on the hunt for a unique wicker purse for such a long time…well actually since I saw a really awesome one and stupidly passed on it then couldn’t stop thinking about it and went back the next day but was about an hour too late (I’d thought I’d hidden it well but somebody else must have been just as obsessed and found it lol) Forever pieces for sure! 🙌
Hi Laura, love all your picks today. I was hoping you would open the basket purse to show how its lined inside. In my mind you open it and things are falling out at the cash register and people are annoyed... 😅 And as a crafty sewer i was curious about the mechanics how it was done. I also love the jade choker! Younger me would buy that in a heartbeat. 60 year old me is not drawing attention to that part of my chubby neck! 😂 ❤❤❤😊
Love that cloisonné vase and your collection of wooden duck bowls! The dog figurine reminds me of Asta, the adorable dog in The Thin Man movies. Awesome finds!
❤ You are so interesting and really know your antiques. I truly enjoyed shopping with you as I love antiques, especcialy furniture. Thanks for all the info also, it will help alot when I go antiqueing. MHS USA NH

Forest Grove actually has 3 vintage stores! On Main Street, just around the corner from Picssso’s and Corner Antiques, is Forest Grove Mercantile. Great finds to be found in FG!
That patchwork coat you tried on made me think of the Dolly Parton's song Coat of many colors 😊That purse: I would never ever let it go, it is perfect! Enjoy it. Bye :)
The gorgeous table & vase are not only beautiful, but functional! Also, the wicker & leather purse is fantastic!
