This is a quick overview of the Ikea Alex 6 draw unit on casters for anyone thinking of buying it to store craft supplies. It was very easy to assemble I did on my own. I am showing what I am keeping in mine to give you an idea of size and scale, it would be useful for any crafter and because its on casters its very easy to move.

Just what I've been looking for as my craft room is overflowing and I need something for storing. My 12 x 12 sets of drawers on casters are full. We do have Ikea stores here the closest to me is a 2hour drive but I think it would be worth it.

That's interesting. I've got 4 of the larger Alex units. Two stacked on top of the other two and they are the best things I ever bought for my craft room. This smaller one on casters might be a great addition. Thanks for the heads up.

Scrapitydoodah Yes i have the one thats slimmer and just a little bit taller and its great, also have the cupboard too, but this one the draws are a lot wider and its easier to move if i need to. glad I've got it now.
