Through the influence of Valmar and Kai, Varus is the only Darkin that couldn't be described as completely bad news, and I really like that direction. Quite similar to Pantheon, in a sense - while he was a god who now understands what it means to be human, Varus is a god-like being that is slowly remembering his humanity.
I Hope they make it similar to kayn and rhaast that the player can accually hear all 3 speaking, and varus having super twisted and confusing self discussions and tantrums with himself
I was the most excited Varus was getting a voice update; the direction ledgends of Runeterra took with him is genius and I had to use him in my main deck.

I think you mean Naafiri with the theories of Varus's sister, Mihira is Kayle's mom, aspect of justice. Also, Zoe was not even born probably when the darkin war happened, the aspect of twilight was another vessel, but not her. I'm not sure but I think the chamber that is described in the last paragraph of his story is the same chamber of the cinematics Shuriman descend into the tomb. Edit: on the fandom wiki, on his summary card on the left (Idk what it is called, but is the card with a lot of details of the character) you can see in his family who his sister is. That section also holds important info.
Legends of runeterra is usually showing the chhmpions in their most recent story So 8n varus expansion his voicelines are hinting of him changing and trying to find q middle ground between him and the 2 hosts Which is why aatrox calls him "too humen"
The most interesting part in Varus' lore to me that even before his inprisonment he was very violent and cruel, and you would think that after he freed he would be super bad and wanted humanity to end, but actually he's the only one who have faith in them
Oh no, Kayn and Rhaast absolutely don't get along. It's just that Kayn is really good at resisting Rhaast, in fact the corruption on his body is Rhaast, but notice how only part of his body is corrupted and he doesn't look darkin-esque like the others, that should explain Kayn is holding him back. Then another thing, the next Darkin champion we're gonna get in a bit is called Naafiri (maybe she's Varus' sister, we'll see), she's a Darkin dagger (assassin role) that was likely picked up by a pack of dogs (not just one entity but multiple, sort of like a hive mind I suspect), so no, Mihira is not Varus' sister, Mihira is the aspect of Justice, mother of Kayle and Morgana. New vid pog, just as i was about to leave cos nothing interesting was available, perfect timing :D at 30 mins, Varus is going around recruiting various people that seek power to use them in the fight with Xolaani (technically he is on Aatroxes side but they disagree on the finer points of bringing oblivion to whom :P), and using some form of magic, likely blood magic (as their weapons look very similar to other darkin cultist weapons from Xolaani f.e.) but i dont know Varus lore that much. Almost all Darkin cards and cultists are pretty top notch and great in LoR, Aatrox and Xolaani are some of the best decks (or have been for a long time), Varus is not played as much, only with some super Agro decks i think, but he has gone out of favour recently with the new Samira expansion. Could you maybe react to the Katarina comic? its probably their best comic, and i would love to see it (i also saw some other people requesting it a couple of weeks ago). you dont need to do a full lore video for Katarina, as her lore is like a decade old, some of it is obsolete, and the best part is that ALL of her backstory is included in the comic itself, so its a great standalone that doesnt require much preknowledge. Also mb LoR region spotlights from SkinsSpotlight channel could also be a good react that i would like to see. anyways take things at your own pace and whatever interests you the most :D
Just to add some other characters that i have seen other people want you to react to/have good lore to react to: Zed, Shen, Tahm Kench (last Demon left for you to react to - not counting Nilahs), Azir/Xerath (their lore is heavily intertwined and makes up the core of Shurima), Lissandra (the only character that has good lore and matters from the freljord imho), Darius (but only if you include his comic, as his lore outside of it is quite meh), J4, Lux and Garen (with their comic included cos its awesome). i think that is pretty much everyone who is left that has good lore (from my biased perspective) that is worth reacting to, also i may have forgot someone Oh and Part 2 of my boy Swain and other popular characters, i am patiently waiting for that with massive expectations xD
for more context about the retconning: back in the day, the game's old lore was about the game itself. players (called summoners) was part of the lore and would summon champions into 5v5 matches and solve political issues in Runeterra, instead of fighting wars. the reason this old lore was retconned was because every single champion would need a reason to be in the institute of war (the league of legends) to be summoned by the summoners. so you can imagine it would be harder and harder to write compelling characters with personal motivations when they all have to fit into the same place. some old lore that still exist: Runeterra's name, along with most regions apart from ixtal and targon. garen and katarina's relationship also stayed.
the main reason it was retconned was just because it was bad, like literally the old lore is straight up dogshit, its more akin to an 8 year olds fantasy fever dream than actual lore. Now there were clearly many reasons why, and im sure the one you gave played a big part as well, but lets be honest here and call a spade a spade as they say.
of course it was terrible, but the main problem was they couldn't write a lot of unique and interesting characters because of the limitations they put on themselves. it was absolutely terrible tho, fiddlesticks lore was literally "he is a sack of sticks" if you go on the wayback machine. and ryze was trolling his school with pranks for some reason.

Just making another comment for the algorithm but also to add to your end of the vid discussion- Yeah i agree the Darkin Lore is arguably the best the Runeterra universe has to offer, and it is very strange how Riot doesnt want to go much harder with it, instead they are focusing on really weird and imo inferior storytelling (for example the last like 10 characters that were added all had boring af lore and add almost nothing to the world - im generalizing cos i dont remember who the last 10 are but you get the picture). I can understand there being less Darkin for in-lore reasons (as they are ancient and most are locked away in places no one can ever find them), but its still such a weird decision to make for genuinely the most unique and interesting part of runeterra lore, they are definitely dropping the ball on this one imo. Also the next champion (Naafiri) is supposed to be a lot more monstrous in appearance (something that league hasnt seen in a long time due to them avoiding monstrous champions due to them selling less skins etc) which im hopeful will put everything back on track a bit at least and give us some new actually good lore. @@AvanteReacts oh dont get me wrong, the mageseeker is fine as a game, i enjoyed it, i would say anyone who likes the lore of Runeterra (or Demacia in particular) will fin it a solid 7/10, mb an 8 (but to people who arent interested in it or are new its just ok or meh, would definitely like to see its price halved for sure tho) - its main issue is the lack of voice acting so you have to read through literal walls of text as its an RPG (of sorts). the story in it was enjoyable and well written (especially for characters that really needed resolutions to their stories or character development imo) , im just worried about how the story ended which makes major changes for Demacia, and imo they are less interesting than what we had before, but i suppose im a bit quick to judge it and they could always add something new to replace the old stuff - sorry im being vague on purpose to avoid spoilers - but its still a bit worrying non the less
