YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT I ATE IN AKOSOMBO, A TOWN JUST OUTSIDE ACCRA GHANA | LIVING IN GHANA
This part of Ghana is called Akosombo, its located about 2hours away from Accra Ghana. Abolo and 1 man thousand is a popular Ghana dish eaten around here. Aboloo is a gluten-free sweet and slightly sour, steamed dumpling which is popular amongst the Ewes of Ghana. In this video we are going to make Aboloo. A lovely woman by Ellen who makes this for a living will take us through the process.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana, from the Ghanaian food, to the Ghanaian culture, to the Ghanaian lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and help inspire to explore Ghana.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.

We stopped at the market by Adomi bridge and my aunt was making purchases. The ladies gave me abolo and the little fish for free to try because they knew i was a foreigner. I was hesitant at first but found it quite good. I purchased a few to take home. The fish would take some getting used to as it had a distinct salty taste lol

Africans are blessed 🙌 with different types of food. Any country in africa has different types of food that you can't like all or eat all. But it's very important to a particular group of people. Kudos to all the responsible, strong african women in this forum.

    Great video Jasmine!😉as always
I've learnt since living here that"One man thousand" is actually "One mouth thousand" because it's like having one thousand fishes in one mouth.A bit of controversy there since everyone says "One man thousand "😁
I traveled to Volta before learning that one
I love aboloo there's no short supply here in Koforidua 🇹🇹🇬🇭
