I always thought it was Miyazaki pandering to the North American feminists to allow them an opportunity to be in one of his games. "You will be one of the most memorable villains ever,", he said. "I will ensure that your representation will be one all straight men will fear . . .". Well . . . he didn't lie. See, Anita Sarkeesian, that's what you get when you can't just butt out and mind your own business. Lol.
Cursed Pthumerian Defilement. You hear "your health is halved." You freak out. You hear "but physical damage is also halved." You calm down. Then you go in, and realize they crammed as many elemental enemies as they could into it, and all the bosses are very elementally focused.
I'm literally thinking of just giving up on the platinum. The bosses in the Cursed Defiled chalice are gimmicky as hell. First one was just a matter of parrying, second was just getting Queen Killer to distract the dog, Amygdala though??? I can't even do the cheese for it correctly. I'm thinking of just waiting until NG+++ to try again.
Thank you again Sunlightblade for including my clip! I'm so happy. And to think I almost didn't even try that challenge because I thought it would have been impossible.
Kamies There is just something about a naked guy in a dungeon. I've actually seen your video before it was included here! You totally perfected baiting Ebrietas' head slam.
Joe Maestro I nearly got stuck inside the secret dungeon with the wolf boss and I found that if u just jump off u get sent right back with ur soul echos
diego torres hahaha thanks :) and that depends. There are weekly fight clubs in the dungeons that are active, so in that regard PVP is not hard to find. Random Invasions, similar the video I posted can be quite rare at times, it seems to fluctuate heavily though. It is without a doubt the hardest form of PVP/invasion to get in bloodborne because you have to use the makeshift altar for it(which is unreliable AF at times)
I actually enjoy the dungeons. The concept is good and the fact that they had the balls to try it is worth noticing. Whenever i got the crave to play bloodborne and dont want to start ng, i can just open a dungeon with bosses and maybe find a good gem or two. I mean iam not oblivious to the problems, there are definetly some, but overall i am fan of the chalice dungeons. I wish there were more hintertomb chalices, the uncanny / lost variants could actually have different skins. . . Oh yeah that yharnam stone should actually be usefull :(
I agree about the dungeons. That is why Bloodborne is my favorite Soulsborne game.....you don't have to start NG+/++/ect. to have fun fighting bosses again. I also like the fact that even if you go to a new NG cycle you can buy everything in the shop right away, even stuff you couldn't before! (no finding almost 2 dozen ashes and coals again!)
I really hope fromsoft didn't gave up on chalices. It has tons of potential, it just needed a little extra attention to be really good. I'm not saying everything should be random, but that element of uncertainty helps shake up the endgame. Maybe the biggest mistake was not taking your NG+ into consideration so early floors can be piss easy, later ones too hard. Depending on when you started them.
i'm running into that right now, i'm probably 2/3-3/4 through ng+1 and took a break to try some chalices, so far they're ludicrously easy, but i haven't done anything below depth 2. i did my very first one mid-game before ng+ though, and it was challenging without being horrible. my only real beef with them is the array of ritual materials and the different levels of materials, but bloodborne had issues with that for the coldblood, also. it's needlessly complicated.
The only thing I'm missing is getting the 3 cords then accepting the Moon Presence's offer ending. I did it on my brother's PS account so I'm too lazy to go back and beat it again. I actually loved a lot of the chalice dungeon stuff although there are some chalices that are just ridiculous.
Armiter id enjoy some jolly co-op but i only have a ng+ guy who just killed the vicar, youd have to carry me first and im not feelin that xd May the good blood guide your way!
4:35 reminds me of a weird thing I witnessed in the lava area of Darksouls 2, on the road to that balrog boss. One of the turtle knights just kinda passively followed us. It was weird
Ahhh Bloodborne. My favourite game of all time. I remember my first time playing through and trying to get through all of the chalice dungeons. Finding Rhom and fighting all the tiny spiders inside the dark room scared me shitless Also my theory about that unfinished/cut version of the Moon Presence is that maybe at some point in development, the creators had the idea that you could pull Great Ones out of their realm and into the physical world, and that this cut version of the Moon Presence is the physical world version of the Moon Presence in the Dream
Oh yeah, definitely challenging for new players. I think having to deal with Rom on top of the numerous spiders is what really makes the fight so challenging and interesting :)
"Yea, I'm pretty good at Bloodborne, I got good after my 3rd or 4th playthrough" *some naked dude torches cursed defiled Ebrietas* "Yea, I'm pretty shit at Bloodborne."
It’s actually so good seeing your content being made again I binge watched so mainly of your old videos on the souls games and bloodborne. Then to find out that bloodborne is actually back in as a popular ahem for people just makes me happy. I’m only a in forbidden forest so I’m still learning the ropes of the game.
Funny thing is, double (broken) broken straight swords with poison and bleed infusion was actually pretty scary early in DS2, because they took very little stamina and could stun-lock you xD
Bloodborne is a fucking incredible game, thanks for reminding me of that . Also i think it was Ratchet and Clank 3 that also had a weird little teleporter that only showed up at a certain time of the day irl and it would take you to a museum thing thats basically a developers hall! It was super awesome and that unused dungeon chalice run reminded me of it!
ohh that talk of "getting to see behind the scenes in game development inside of the actual game," (w/ the unfinished moon presence encounter) that has SUCH big appeal to me, one of my favorite childhood games, ratchet and clank, actually had areas like that in some of the games, called the insomniac museum. it was a semi-secret area where you could go and explore unused assets, as well as learn a bit about how finished assets went through production and how they were made. they had little voice over bits explaining what everything was, and it was just. so cool. it was one of the coolest moments of my childhood gaming-wise, getting to explore this playground of unfinished work and seeing what could have been. it really cemented my love of game design and made me eager to learn more.
sees a large powerful yet friendly predatory beast hanging off a cliff side Me: I've seen this before... "Long live the king" starts shouting in back of head
The guys laughing was the best. It's just awesome to hear friends genuinely laughing together, it's more therapeutic than most of the comedies put out today (not to mention catchy). Bloodborne's my favorite of the SoulsBorne series. Combat, story, setting, fashion, it's all great. Dark Souls 1 and 3 were good, don't get me wrong, but they didn't capture my imagination anywhere near what Bloodborne did. Totally dig the BB vids, mate, keep em coming.
Honestly, Chalice Dungeons should be a feature that Fromsoft adds in future Soulsbourne games, because it'd be amazing to be able to have a system where I can fight bosses found in the vanilla game without having to burn a fiery pumpkin-looking thing to permanently increase the difficulty of an area just for a one-time respawn of a boss.
I've been in that EXACT same situation as #4. OMG. It was like Sen's Fortress my first time. Both utterly maddening and such an awesome feeling that the game outsmarted you in such hilarious fashion by using very simple design tools.
Orbit55 Berserk is closer to Dark Souls to me. Both have medieval fantasy themed settings, and Bloodborne has this Gothic/19th century flair that sets it clearly apart from Dark Souls. A mix of Lovecraftian influences and a bit of Van Helsing.
I have killed NG+7 bosses in Dark Souls 3 with the standard torch, if that makes you feel better. I also submitted no damage fight of headless Bloodletting Beast, so I'm a bit salty it wasn't picked. x3
I said it before and I'm gonna do it here again: I love your content and all the people that submit their clips of awesome, funny, dumb and just entertaining gameplays. Keep it going I will need you to show this good stuff to my kids when they exist
Just wanted to give a big THANK YOU for your service of almost certainly bringing more player back to BB for me to invade on my NG+... sinister runthroughs.
Number 5 reminded me of the insomniac museum areas from Rachet and clank... most notably the one from a crack in time. Just the idea that you can take part in something like this is amazing
"Travis is the coldest killer I've ever encountered" Then be glad you haven't met me. The only NPCs I spare are friendly ones and that one bird in Hemwick Charnel Lane.
I've found the friendly doggo too! My theory is that he is meant to jump-scare you as you open the door but to make sure it doesnt attack through the wall and ruin the jump-scare, it's been set to be passive until you open the door. However when you come around from the other side, something in the script breaks and you now have a friendly doggo. :)
Related to number 5. i beleive in the second ratchet and clank game, there was an entire hidden area that you could only get to by standing at a certain point on the map at noon real time. the area contained a lot of cut content from the first and second game as well as loads of game models and descriptions.
That doggo reminds me of my pet dragon in Dark Souls 3; I some how glitched the game in my playthough so that now one of the two dragons that spits fire on that bridge is alive and is passive. He's super chill and I come back there every now and then to say hi to him!

Micolash, Host of bad boss design YOU'RE EVERYWERE! I replied to a comment on pvp skillz channel yesterday.
I'm honored you included my fights. Love your videos!
WP you should have been number one. I just boringly ran around naked and got lucky. You had much more effort in your fights.
Kamies There is just something about a naked guy in a dungeon. I've actually seen your video before it was included here! You totally perfected baiting Ebrietas' head slam.
