    Will you are diligent with practice, and it shows in your flying. You will just keep getting better my friend. I'm very glad you like the Crack Yak, they are great learning tools. Thank you very much for mentioning us...its always nice to see a fellow modeler get something of value from what we do. I notice your channel is growing...almost at the century mark! I'm not surprised, your content is something I look forward to watching.

      Adam, Thanks for the kind words.. btw, my channel really grew last month... Wonder why, Hmmmm? Maybe you mentioning it on your wildly popular channel helped.. (I'm sure it was a HUGE help.....). Thanks.

      @@SteffenRC It may just be because your channel is really good! We have you featured for Sept. as well...we only had the idea fir half the month in Aug. I hope it helps, but remember, they'll only subscribe if they like what they see when they get there. They must!!

      @@ModelAV8RChannel Adam, I am having a hard time deciding between the Crack Yak or the Crack Laser “lite”. I want durability and as slow profile flying as I can. I don’t fly 3d, but looking for a very slow and highly acrobatic plane. these are the 2 I have come across. I may learn 3d, but want the plane to snap and roll quickly with out breaking when I bounce it off the ground. :)
      Thank you.

      @@travislinton7258 Hey Travis, the Crack Laser Lite is one of the best 3D profile foamys I've ever flown. The build is similar to the standard series planes, but the construction is lighter and a bit more fragile. It's still easy to fix and none of them can be really smacked hard without at least a little fix involved every now and then. It is more responsive, and it will fly slower than a standard.
      The reason we recommend the standard series first is they are a bit tougher, and a fraction easier to fly because they are slightly less responsive. Basically all the TH stuff is good and any will do, but there are subtle differences a more skilled pilot can feel and take advantage of with the lighter ones.

    Thanks, for the update. I enjoyed watching the flight. I'm enjoying my Twisted Hobbys Edge 540 as well. I was suprised how tough these planes are. I would have destroyed a balsa model 3 times already.

    • @SteffenRC
      @SteffenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      100% correct on the potential for destruction... So far, this model hasn't taken a big hit... But its just a matter of time.... :-)

      Yes they are! It goes to the field on a regular basis.. Crazy fun without the risk of destroying one of my other EPO planes..

    I usually set up 3 rate options. Will you tell us how your rates look?
    I wanted to maiden mine today but it's to windy here in north Utah.

    • @SteffenRC
      @SteffenRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here you go in mm of deflection in each direction.
      Ail - 30,38,45. Elev - 35,45,50. Rud - 40,50,55
      I started out in low rates and about 40-60% expo until I got the feeling of how she flew. They I adjusted the expo and typically fly in mid rates.. I'm just working on the Harrier and make sure I can master this. Then I'll move into hovering.. I'm getting pretty good at pushing my limits and its fun to see the improvements. Wind will really test your ability on this plane. I prefer to play with her on calm days.. But a steady wind makes harrier/hover a breeze (pun intended... :-) ). Good luck my friend... Will

    • @SteffenRC

      The motor is their recommended Crack Series 2305 1500kv. I'm using a 2S 600mah and a 9x4.7 prop....

      Randy, I'm using a 2S 600mah. 5 min of flying is perfect. I may bump up to a 3S in the future..

    I have a suggestion fly over tall grass or weeds and it will last much longer they don't like the short grass or parking lots

      @SteffenRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep.. Nice this about this small plane is I can take her anywhere and fly in all sorts of locations... Having thick grass helps cushion the plane from impact...😀

    • @SteffenRC

      I used the Crack Yak motor which has been outstanding.. I'm sure you can get something cheaper, but I just pulled the trigger on stock.. I'm using the EMAX ES08MA II 12g servo. About $8 or so.. No issues and I've beat the heck out of this plane.. Good luck, Will
