I remember jumping over to the baloons in the wii u version, but I always thought there was something here to find as you can litterally see free roaming elements like balance ropes and a climbable ledge on the pig baloon like this place was meant for players to find. Isn't there supposed to be a character token on the gator too?

It's one of the gang arrest city challenges that you find at the nose of the alligator. Also the intended method of reaching the balloons is to use the chicken glide point that can be beerly seen at about 3:48-3:49 just above the character name on the hud. It's kind of hard to make out in the video but it's there.

Yeah the balloons are a real game mechanic because at the end there is a token on the alligators head so idk why he said it was a myth
