I definitely have collect too many things and have had to actively try to fight against those collector tendencies when it comes to crafts. I don't HAVE to buy or keep every puzzle/diamond painting in a series or by a certain artist, even if I love them. It's definitely difficult, but an important change in mindset to keep my stash down. (I say as I bought yet another puzzle by one of my favorite artists this morning.)
📖 Thank you for the mental health “check-up”. I’m in a little slump however not bad. I’m my mom’s caretaker and that can be challenging at times. She’s 90 yrs young☺️ and really is doing well even with her health challenges. Diamond painting has been a God send to help me thru the difficult times. I know I have to be good to myself to get through the difficult moments and it’s ok. Just thank you for the encouragement.

Ive started listening to audiobooks now that Im into diamond painting. Im super picky about audio books tho because some narration styles I find just really distracting. Ive been listening to Game of Thrones this week and the narrator is amazing.
Your voice is soothing to my migraine. The intro hurt, but I really appreciate how calm and level your voice stays throughout the video ❤ 📖

My 16 year old is on the spectrum. She was diagnosed at 15 months. So I've been through it all over the years. My baby is thriving and having a wonderful time in high school . That said, I remember those early days of uncertainty . I would love to contribute to the conversation as a mom with a teen on the spectrum as most of the people I have met in the community have littles.
I totally agree in regards to TikToc. I'm a little older than you and that platform is defintley not my "vibe" I love your channel on TH-cam and your transparency about your life and diamond painting. Love your content!😀😅
Yay! thanks for the WIP. I'm still working on my JadedGembouree diamond painting, A Knight, so thank you for keeping me company! All my friends and I have been getting into the Fallout Tv series. Even though it's definitely too gory for me to watch all the way through, I've managed to find some synopses of shows on TH-cam so that I can enjoy the story without the gore, though I am sad I don't get to see as much of the actors' performances cause they are stellar. My husband and I are also revisiting The Slayers anime and I still love it. Hope your week goes well! 📖

Hi Katie. Thanks for the wip and chat. I started working on my Make Market Primroses painting. Didn’t think about SWTM event. Oh well. I have a Starry Night kit that a friend gave me for an early birthday present that might end up counting. I’m reading (listening to) Empire of Storms right now. I can totally see myself rereading ACOTAR and TOG series. I’ll read Crescent City series too later. Glad you’re good and thanks for reminding me that my best is good enough. ❤

📚 one artist I must buy from diamond painting wise is Stanley Morrison diamond art club. One of his dragons was my first DAC piece and I just love his work. Currently working on Irish Coffee Dragon outside today. First nice day in a while here. The other thing I collect is actually Budweiser holiday steins. Thanks for your weekly WIP chat love enjoying it with my coffee for the beginning of my “weekend”!

📚 I finally pulled a Spangler out of my stash and am working on "Rounding up the Dust Bunnies" Not really reading much, been sucked back into my Sudoku habit.
I wish I wasn’t a collector. I simply “had” to get all the DAC Hannah Lynn’s. ❤ The colours are my absolute favourites. Thanks for being so open and keeping the conversation about mental health going. 📚

Thanks for being willing to share about your autism journey! I keep having doctors tell me that there is no point in getting an official diagnosis if I don't need any kind of intervention, but I feel like it would be good just for my mental health to have that diagnosis. Have you found that getting your diagnosis has helped you and was worth it? 📚
Same thing happened to me. I was told that since I made it ok through school, there’s no point to having a diagnosis. I think that was just a lazy answer!!!

I’ve watched you diamond paint long enough now that I feel the urge to do so myself which is usually the case with me I can only watch so long until it makes me want to diamond paint … I have a some yummei art & I will say also I’m convinced that those cute dragons of Randall Spangler’s are Gators! 😂 they look like Aligators (albeit cute ones) to me, I live in florida and am acquainted with the look of an Aligators

As far as diamond painting goes I will buy pretty much any Ivy Dolamore so I guess I collect her paintings turned into diamond art. And Yuumei. I can't resist picking all those up also. 📚

I have actually found myself when using my multiplacer just not switching over & keeping in using it for a bit doesn’t feel odd at all after a while
I do collect things but luckily I have a natural cap that my brain likes. For nail polishes, it’s about 100 polishes. I love to read but I don’t like collecting books. 📚 I don’t know yet what my cap will be for my diamond painting stash. I’m currently at 24 😅 I hope you are having a good week!

I've been having a tough time for well over a year now, my anxiety makes it difficult to leave my house at all so crafting and listening to people in crafting communities has become such a huge part of my day-to-day life.
A question for your futute Q&A section I have is: was there a big focus on your childhood years when you were being diagnosed?
Im asking because I'm trying to get diagnosed myself - most people I'm close to are pretty darn convinced I have some flavour of neurodivergence, but when I speak with my university health care they put so much emphasis on my good grades throughout my childhood years. Is this a common experience? (For me, I'm looking into ADHD, with big emphasis on executive dysfunction, time blindness, memory issues with faces names and times/years as well as a multitude of other smaller signs)
It sure is discouraging, but I'm still trying to power through and meet with a specialist 😊
Yes I am a collector as well. I have several anime figures on a shelving unit in my bedroom. 90% of them are Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts. I have almost a complete set of figures made by Glitters and Glamours (I'm missing Jupiter). I'm not into Fairy Loot , but I am into The Bookish Box. I just finished a "Broken Blade" by Melissa Blair. It's a good read for anyone looking for high fantasy, enemies to allies to lovers, slow burn romance, and betrayal.

My husband used to be an OTR truck driver and would get me a dolphin from every place he went. I love dolphins as they are such intelligent creatures. Now I have so many they have lost their appeal to me and I no longer collect them. There is only one artist that I want all of her work and that is Jennifer Lambein. Her work is inspiring and positive and I wouldn't mind being surrounded by those positive affirmations. 😀

Katie, my dad is huge into trains. Look for a model train club in your area and then message them they might be able to help find or maybe they have might have one. Plus they might be OK to have Connor go to a meeting to talk to them and ask questions.

I create diamond painting content on TikTok :) I have been planning to make the switch over to TH-cam, but I've just been really shy... I also question whether I'd have anything new to bring to the table. It is definitely a different vibe on TT, I feel like there's longevity in the TH-cam community.
Katie, for the life of me, I cannot multi-place. I’m working on a 50 x 50 cm kit with a ton of black (310) drills and I’ve about ripped out all of my hair.
I SO closely watch you multi-place in all your videos but it just baffles me how you do it so effortlessly
I’ve tried so many different techniques to no avail. Could my putty be the fault? It seems every time I line up my placer to lay down the drills they don’t want to release from the pen.
I don’t want to be a single-placer for the rest of my life 🥺.

Purchased a set of screw on multi-placements from Amazon. Only to discover the thickness of the multi-placement moved pervious placed drills on the canvas. Ugh, not good.

What I mean is did you always know unofficially or did you have a moment where things just made sense. By the way you are the reason I collect diamond painting pens. I’m not a collector after having to close down the homes of four different relatives. I have two special needs children and do not want them to have to sort through an overwhelming amount of stuff when the time comes.
I saw the fairy loot drama (Im always nosey with niche drama) I like SJM books but omg there are some very toxic sides of her fandom. I joined a Romantasy FB group and people have to post in anonymous mode if they post anything slightly critical of SJM books because the fandom can really go for the throat with their comments its crazy. I did think that fairyloot kind of ripped off a smaller company which sucks but its sad the aritsts got so much hate when it should be the company that gave them thier briefs getting the criticism.
I decided instead of getting special editions of SJM I am buying the regular ole hardbacks and then illustrating pages myself that mean something to me. Im using it as a way to practice art and re-read the books.

I've been in this community a long time ... I find it ... interesting, curious, strange idk can't find right words after listening to all the creators in beginning say nothing but good things about drills from different companies and now all I hear is how much trash etc it has been very sad really and yet reveling, for me it is what it is they are all the same ur talking abour mental health i have a question, ive noticed unlike most creators u don't heart ever comment just pick and choose how does that affect a sub for years who is depressed due to loss, death of loved ones, how do u think that nakes them feel sad or happy
