1:37 You actually don't pay the full 6 here because Solarmon stops reduction of "Play Costs". Options don't use "Play Costs" they are being "Used" and only have a "Cost". The best way to see this example is to grab any option card and any Digimon Card then look at the top left Bubble, the Option does not say "Play Cost" only "Cost".
G1 Jesmon player should have attacked the unsuspended Shoutmon X5 (Saviorhuck allows him to do so). It was one less body on the board to worry about later.
I believe Solarmon does not actually prevent the cost reduction of Crimson Blaze since options don't have a play cost, they just have a cost. I think it's frankly a pretty ridiculous ruling, but it's going to come up a lot in this set
Bro what are you even smoking? The number in the corner is the play cost. Any time a card leaves your hand or trash to become active in the battle area aside from digivolving is considered being played, regardless of play cost. There is no "use" there is only "play". Solarmon prevents the cost reduction.
@@KaitoverMoon If you look at literally any option it doesn't say play cost, it just says cost in the corner. Crimson Blaze itself also specifically says reduce memory cost, not reduce play cost. I don't make the rules for this game and I wish Psychemon/Solarmon stopped the cost reduction but they don't
@@TechnicalHiccup Dude, memory cost for playing a card IS a play cost lmao. We can't argue semantics when the logical solutions are so blatantly obvious.
crimson blaze can reduce cost although have solarmon in field because option is cost and digimon is playcost so solarmon just "can't reduce playcost" so you can reduce cost of option
I wanted to point out the same^^. You can even see in the upper left corner on an option card that it says "cost" not " play cost" as it is the case for digimon. So u could have played the blaze for 2 memory ^^. Its an absolutley must have for this set in red . GL and keep going.
I really feel like Save is an effect that’s detrimental to the game. Resource management is one of the core tenants of the game and while there are some ways to play around the effect, being able to recycle assets so easily takes a lot away from the game.
I think the bigger issue is how Save is designed to overlay with DigiXros. Play costs are just a bit too low after a full DigiXros, and Save could be utilized mechanically in a variety of other interesting ways. Overall, the Digimon Card Game is not as restricted by card resources as it is on Memory, and all cost reduction effects really need to be looked at with maximum scrutiny. It just seems like DigiXros with XrosHeart either slipped through or Bandai intentionally skewed in a more powerful direction. Unfortunately 1 memory difference in play cost is 1 attacking Shoutmon X4 or 3 attacking X4 on the standard 3-memory turn and there's no in between.
@@moxmoonstone I think we’re trying to say the same thing here. Memory IS a resource, just like cards in hand/deck/trash. DigiXros isn’t inheritly broken because you still have to plan/manage the resources to reduce your costs. It’s Save that makes it too easy. Deleting becoming less meaningful due to Save is the real issue since that’s what can break DigiXros into too easy territory.
5:04 did jesmon player choose To block with ciel and trashed the ciel? Then seconds later he returned it to field from trash to trash the blanc then blocking again with ciel? Also game 1 you keep mentioning DP boost but non of the sistermon gain DP only the huckmon and royal knights do off off the ciel from Bt 6
Yeah we were just playtesting and decided it was a better play to block with blanc so we switched it and jesmon x antibody gives all your digimon +2kdp till the end of opp turn

The Sistermon Blanc could have prevented the Crimson Blaze from deleting everything at 1:37 because of Decoy.
