2017年7月29日、三重県桑名市揖斐川の河川敷で開催された桑名水郷花火大会からNTN提供の超特大仕掛花火の模様を撮影した映像です。
今年はNTN創業100周年という事で、いつもに増して大変見応えのある20分間でした。この20分間に打ち上げられた2尺玉の数は計17個。どれも素晴らしく綺麗で迫力ある花火でした。
前日までは雨予報でしたが、当日になり曇り予報に変わり、花火打ち上げ時刻には程よく南風(打ち上げ場所の下流から上流へ)が吹き、花火大会には絶好のコンディションでした。
実は今回、この桑名水郷花火大会は初めての観覧でした。非常に評判の良い大会なので以前から一度見てみたいと思っていたのですが、なかなか来る機会がなく...
実際に生で見た本大会の花火は、噂通りで桁外れにスケールが大きく見応えのあるものでした。
来年も絶対見に来るぞと思える素晴らしい花火大会でした。

This is how fireworks should be. A real work of art. The pyrotechnitian uses dark space as well as color. A much more beautiful display than all the constant expansive mess that they use in the the west and places like Dubai. Great show!
桑名を離れて初めて理解した、桑名の夏の素晴らしさ。
員弁川での川遊びに鮎とり。多度まで行けば渓流もある。
少し暑いが田んぼ道を自転車で駆けるのもよし。山に入ってカブトムシを探すのもよし。
中高生になって長島スパーランドに友達同士で行くのはたまの贅沢。
そして、夏休みの始まりといえばこの水郷花火。夏休みに入ってすぐだけど、ここで同級生と会うと何故か久しぶりに会った時のようにドキドキしたんだよな。
あと、桑名の夏祭りで忘れてはいけないのは、石取祭り。
カンカン、ドンドン桑名の街中に一晩中響き渡る鐘と太鼓の大音量。夜遅くまで遊ぶこの日だけは、普段大人しい桑名のちびっ子が悪ガキになる。
そんな中この日も大人しかった僕は、親から貰った500円で春日大社の境内でかき氷を買い、元をとらんとばかり色んな味のシロップをかけてたんだっけ。
ところで、こんなにも毎日毎日充実した夏休みだったのに、宿題の絵日記を書けなかったのはなんでなんだろう？
おそらく、楽しすぎて忘れていたに違いない。
この夏は、桑名に帰ります。

I was watching in 4k using my slower connection. The video would keep freezing often. The cool thing is when your video freezes the quality is so good it is a very cool stop-action photo. That is very entertaining in a unique way.
