How long does it take to make a typical video such as this? The editing and production is so high quality. I feel like I'd have to quit my job to attempt something that wouldn't even come close to this good.
Thank you! A video like this takes about a month to produce, working at a leisurely rate in my free time. At this point I have a pretty refined work flow, so putting together a new video is just a matter of following all the steps I've laid out for myself. The most time consuming part is recording all the videos, because my room is tiny, and it takes forever to move all my equipment around when I'm setting up each shot. Other than that, all of the other steps are pretty smooth sailing.
This reminds me so much of Mario Party 1 music! Specifically the xylo part in this. I haven't played this game but I love this theme! Also, mad props on getting such clean recordings of everything, especially your MacGyver'd percussion stuff. It's no easy task getting a good clean snare sound out of an actual snare drum, I can't imagine it's a walk in the park to get a modified Home Depot bucket to sound so crisp. Great work man!
