Climbing Sichuan's Insane Mountain Ladder

  • I went in search of Atulie'er village, a village situated on the edge of a cliff in Sichuan's Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture.
However, the only way to get there is to climb an insanely steep mountain ladder made from metal scaffolding.Previous inhabitants of the village have now mostly relocated to a newly built community, and now the village is mainly a place visited by tourists. On my climb I bumped into people carrying washing, crates of soft drinks and even a BED! That's an 800 meter journey upwards, along scaffolding, in order to deliver a bed! Unbelievable.
I'm not going to lie. It was tough! Check out how I got on.
If you like this video, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE and hit that bell button. Oh, and don't forget to leave me a message Thanks!
And if you think this is amazing, check out my trip to a BASKETBALL COURT inside a CAVE!!!!

If Yi people have a similar population as Uyghur people, the west media would report that the gov forced them to move down and relocated them into a concentration community (camp). Their children are brainwashed in the school located in the community.

You can look up "Ding Zhen". The story behind this viral boy is a whole story of the entire town overcoming poverty. The head of poverty alleviation said, "He achieves what this generation (in this town) is trying to accomplish in their lifetime"

@@jivvyjack7723 No you misunderstood. It's about encouraging the economy in the town by bringing prosperity. For example, that live streamer Stu met in the video. Maybe after Stu released this video, there'll be more people curious about the town and travel here. By that, the local travelling would become business that provides jobs to local people. "Ding Zhen," who I mentioned above, is a successful example. After he went viral, data showed that the search of traveling to Ganzi(his hometown) was increased by 620%. And then the gov immediately took this opportunity and hired him as the offical image of the town to promote local travelling. It brought abundant funds and investments. I read the news, and there were people said the town is blooming and they finally had the first coffee shop in the town, etc. There are a lot towns and villages like this. The gov and people really put a lot efforts in poverty alleviation. In some areas, it's been taking generations. It's easier right now with online platforms but mostly it really needs luckiness.

My mother grew up in a very remote part of Sichuan. She tells me that she used to have to walk 2 hours to school everyday because that was the only option available. Really impressed with China's efforts to build basic infrastructure like schools and hospitals closer to the people--providing basic necessities like these is the key to poverty alleviation.

You don't need to jog for exercise. You get exercise just by going for 'a walk' outside your homes. And those dwellers just 'casually' climb the stairs like a walk in the park! Thank you for your great shots and being respectful to these people (often neglected). The poverty alleviation is a great move. These kids need education and mobility.
