      If Yi people have a similar population as Uyghur people, the west media would report that the gov forced them to move down and relocated them into a concentration community (camp). Their children are brainwashed in the school located in the community.

      You can look up "Ding Zhen". The story behind this viral boy is a whole story of the entire town overcoming poverty. The head of poverty alleviation said, "He achieves what this generation (in this town) is trying to accomplish in their lifetime"

      @@jivvyjack7723 No you misunderstood. It's about encouraging the economy in the town by bringing prosperity. For example, that live streamer Stu met in the video. Maybe after Stu released this video, there'll be more people curious about the town and travel here. By that, the local travelling would become business that provides jobs to local people. "Ding Zhen," who I mentioned above, is a successful example. After he went viral, data showed that the search of traveling to Ganzi(his hometown) was increased by 620%. And then the gov immediately took this opportunity and hired him as the offical image of the town to promote local travelling. It brought abundant funds and investments. I read the news, and there were people said the town is blooming and they finally had the first coffee shop in the town, etc. There are a lot towns and villages like this. The gov and people really put a lot efforts in poverty alleviation. In some areas, it's been taking generations. It's easier right now with online platforms but mostly it really needs luckiness.

    My mother grew up in a very remote part of Sichuan. She tells me that she used to have to walk 2 hours to school everyday because that was the only option available. Really impressed with China's efforts to build basic infrastructure like schools and hospitals closer to the people--providing basic necessities like these is the key to poverty alleviation.

    Thank you for taking the time and effort to make these videos about real life in China. Most Westerners just believe what they see in their TV from a biased perspective, and also they have no desire to know the true picture. They believe in the theory of the Chinese Threat to the west, whereas mostly the Chinese people want to live better lives in China; the Chinese people are not interested in dominating the world and forcing others to follow their way of life. From a colonial perspective the West thinks China is in the same mentality which is gravely wrong.
