@samu91900 True, if you use the secret Hal Room in 1-4, you have early access to Ninja, Wing, Fighter and Hammer, easily some of the best abilities in the game. A good speed runner would arguably get Wing ASAP and carry it throughout the entire game.
Sure, if you know where to find it before this boss fight. It's very well hidden. Wing, Ninja, Hammer, Fighter, definitely four of the very best abilities and all available from 1-4, neat.

no..beat all 5 regular areas on normal mode then go back to the lor then magolor will take you to his home planet halcandria then beat that then beat landia then beat the final boss..the arena and extra mode will then be unlocked..to unlock the dreded true arena beat both the arena and extra mode

Whispy Woods is a cheap excuse for a boss anyway, he's starred in almost every damn game! The bugger doesn't even move!
Leaf and Ninja is useful too for this fight.
I'm not sure Tornado is available at this stage, I think it first appears in Level 2.

Well, there's three ways to really cheat with Wispy by either using Beam, Wing, or Spark. XD
@MrMarioparty45 Beat the game just once and you can start EX mode, it's harder than the normal mode.

There's an easier way. Fire Hammer move with Hammer Ability. Up + (1). Takes 4 or 5 hits only.
