I need to look into the Jane Iredale sticks! A recommendation if you’ve never tried, Mandy, is the Girlactik shadow sticks. My daughter likes them so much better than Laura Mercier. The shade Nutmeg blended out is a definite one and done! Nikki La Rose showed it awhile back and it is gorgeous.
Favorite one and done are both shadow sticks: Laura Geller Smokey Quartz shadow stick, and Bobbi Brown Stone shadow stick. I had patchy application with RMS, but I used my fingers - will try with brush, since I have the product already.
Ooouuu I want the Elf Sand dune and canyon. My favorite 1 and done is the Armani eye tint in 22M cashew. I'm almost out! I haven't even been putting shimmer on. I'm almost out and another slade I want finally came back in stock. Wed-thur working at the salon early, I need a quick eye that lasts til 8pm sometimes sometimes. I like to spend more time on my complexion makeup. They don't emphasize lid lines. Can't wait to grab the elf. Mandy I know we love trying new Sunscreens..I just ordered the Light saver. Hasn't come in yet.
So funny you mentioned RMS, I was literally putting on blaze when watching your video. I also have strobe but need to get more colors!! Loved the look you did, I feel I go lighter during the week with shadow and can be a bit more daring on weekends. Have you tried the about face ones at Ulta? They have some beautiful shades also some crazy duo chromatic ones too!! Thanks for the video 😊
I'm obsessed with the RMS eyelights. I just came back from a business trip, packed all sorts of shadows and in the end only used RMS - every single day 🤣 The colours are beautiful, they last all day no matter what (including almost 24hrs of travel!) and are so quick and easy to apply. Masterpiece!
Hi Mandy! Love one and done. I am always rotating between CHANEL Undertone 802 in pot, Chantecaille mermaid eye in copper bronze, Sisley Phyto twist in Topaz number 1 and VB eyewear in Pecan. All are so easy.😊❤
Yayyyyyy thank you so much for doing this!!!! Wow that strobe shade looks stunning on you with your eyes and skin tone, even by itself! Thanks for the demo and these recommendations, I’ll check them out :) One of my fave Eyeshadow sticks are Victoria Beckham Beauty, but I haven’t tried the ones you mentioned yet
This was fun, thank you! Maybe I’ll try the JI one or rms. I like the caviar sticks but I feel like I’m aware of them on my lids all day if that makes any sense. I’m anxious to try something different!
Mandy, thank you for the recs! I’m definitely going to get some of those! ❤ I do have a question for you as an MUA. I have very watery eyes and struggle to keep my eyeshadows and concealers to stay on in the inner corner of my eyes. Is there ANYTHING I can do to keep that from happening? Maybe there are products that don’t budge? It drives me crazy, but idk what to do. Please help! 😫🙏
Shadow sticks really are the longest lasting types of eyeshadow in my opinion. I hesitate to suggest an eye primer in that area, since it could get into the eye. You could try to apply the shadow (or concealer), set it with a light dusting of powder and then apply again. It's a technique used for lipstick to make it super long lasting, so it's worth a try for shadow. If you are using it for concealer...I would set it a second time at the end to help it not crease. I hope this helps!
Love this, I am finding myself doing more one shadow looks. What is your recommendation for the Merit shadows, with lid primer or no? I’m finding with primer the staying power isn’t great.
Thanks! I don't personally use primer...only a concealer set with a powder, and I apply the Merit on top of that. Maybe dust some powder on the lid and then go in with the Merit...that may help the lasting power.
I love the idea of one and done shadows, but I have very deep set and slightly hooded eyes. It just seems like when I try to where a one shadow look, it just makes my eyes look more deep set. Ugh!
You've inspired me to get back to using some "one and done" eyeshadow colors. Thank you! I'm just curious if you also use a tapping motion with a blush to apply the stick shadows like Laura Mercier's--or do you just swipe them on directly from the stick?
You are so welcome! I personally swipe them on if I am using a shadow stick. If I want a sheer layer, I will pick up the product with a brush from the stick and then buff into the lid.

The old Armani Eye Tints in the longer, slimmer tubes used to be some of my all time faves. I got one when they reformulated, but I don't remember much about it. And let me know how you like the SPF!
Great video! My favourite one and done is Charlotte Tilbury eyes to mesmerize in Chocolate Bronze 😊
The Eyes to Mesmerize are amazing cream shadows.
I love a one and done shadow. I always reach for Naked Lunch from MAC.
Such a gorgeous shade!
I'm all for one and done these days. My fav at the moment it Dior single shadow in Beige Mitzah. Great list.
That one looks beautiful! I really want to try some of the new Chanel single shades as well.

Interesting! I will look into those. Thanks!

I hope my technique works out for you!
I have been enjoying the Rare Beauty shadow sticks for a one and done.
I have one of those...I can't remember which shade, but I do like it.
Surrott Soufflé in Ciel Dore is my favorite.
I want to love RMS, but I struggled with them. Thanks for showing me your technique.
I just looked up the Surrat one and I just may have to get that one. It looks right up my alley!

Small world! I haven't tried anything from About Face. I need to check them out. Thanks for the rec.
I loved the RMS Eyelights "Strobe" on you but I personally want to try the Supernova shade.
They are all so pretty!
I’ve been loving the Vieve eye wands. I also have one by Nabla, and still love the MAC Paint pots in Layin Low and Groundwork.
LOVE Groundwork. I use that often in my kit. I will have to check out the Vieve eye wands. What do you feel like makes them stand out?
I want to check some of yours out. Last summer I used Charlotte Tilbury Oyster Pearl almost every single day. It was just so easy!
That is such a beautiful shade!
I need them all❤️ Thank you gorgeous ever since I watched your video. I’ve been doing the one and done eyeshadow. Love it.
You are so welcome!

Yes!! They are so so pretty!
I love a one and done look! So easy, will def purchase JI Saddle. Been wanting to get that, and so happy it’s one of your favs! Thx Mandy!❤
You are so welcome!

Oh how I love the Chantecaille ones too...They really should have been on my list.

You are so welcome! I haven't tried any of the VB ones yet, but I love everything I have from that line, so I am sure they are amazing.
Agreed! Can’t wait to see what they come out with next :)
Hello Mandy. Love this look on you as always❤. To you think the RMS shadows would look good for over 60❤
Thank you! As long as you like a shimmer on the eye, they would be beautiful...but they are very reflective.
This was fun, thank you! Maybe I’ll try the JI one or rms. I like the caviar sticks but I feel like I’m aware of them on my lids all day if that makes any sense. I’m anxious to try something different!
If you still have some, try picking up with a brush and buffing them on the eye that way. That could help the heavy feeling.
@@MandyDavisMUA thank you! I’ll try!

Hi Mandy, I would like to try creamy eyeshadow. What would you recommend for a green eyed, silvery white hair, light to medium cool toned skin lady?
Copper , green , purple , lilac , beige , greys ,Browns , silver and gold .Viseart palettes they are a French brand 😊
I love the idea of one and done shadows, but I have very deep set and slightly hooded eyes. It just seems like when I try to where a one shadow look, it just makes my eyes look more deep set. Ugh!
If you stick to the brighter shades and then put a touch of a darker one on your outermost corner, it will help your deep set eyes pop out more.
You've inspired me to get back to using some "one and done" eyeshadow colors. Thank you! I'm just curious if you also use a tapping motion with a blush to apply the stick shadows like Laura Mercier's--or do you just swipe them on directly from the stick?

I love MAC single eyeshadows. I don't like cream pencil eyeshadows or cream eyeshadow at all. Powder is good for me if I use my Urban Decay primer.
Definitely use what's best for you.
I love the Manasi 7 eye tints and Beautycounter. And of course, all things Merit. 🩷
Great choices!
