  • Today on #MaJelivIndianReactions we continue and conclude our screening of Taare Zameen Par (Like Stars on Earth) starring Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary who plays the film’s protagonist, Ishaan.
The tale about a boy, Ishaan Awasthi, with dyslexia who gets labeled as lazy and mischievous by the adults who raise and educate him mainly because they don’t know he’s dyslexic.
And then we meet Ram Shankar Nikumbh, the art teacher who specializes in guiding kids like Ishaan. He connects with the boy with his caring heart, led by an authentic joy seeking to help Ishaan cope with his learning disability.
Thank you to our Patrons who support our channel. You too, can join the MaJeliv Family here: (and you can see the full reaction to this movie right now)
    / majeliv
SPOILER REVIEW AHEAD! ( You can see Taare Zameen Par on Netflix)
In Part 2 of Taare Zameen Par we finally see Ishaan’s life take a positive turn as Mr. Nikumbh helps him overcome his setbacks with innovative ways to teach him math, reading and writing.
Aamir Khan truly shines as Mr. Nikumbh, his essence of a nurturing teacher affects the young boy and inspires Jenny and I (Jose Miguel) as educators and parents. We finally felt like Ishaan would have a chance to regain his artistic spirit now that his fundamental academics improved significantly.
And yet this movie is less about how to teach kids with “special needs” and more about the healing and elevating power a caring heart can have on someone struggling to find their footing in the world. And if we’re someone who’s walked more than a mile in this rough and tough terrain, much like Mr. Nikumbh had walked this path before, then it is our duty to give the love and care to the newcomers who find themselves trying to navigate the lonely road of hardship.
We hope you’ve enjoyed watching this film with us. We certainly were left with so much to contemplate over and always with a sense that we can live better lives if we just love and care more intently.
What a powerful film we are so deeply grateful for Aamir Khan and his team of creatives for bringing this beautiful story to the big screen.

Just a little bit of trivia: The art teacher Nikumbh (Aamir Khan) had never actually seen Ishaan smile fully so that painting was actually his imagination of what Ishan would look like truly happy and that is why it's such a powerful moment

I was Dyslexic as a kid too and this movie came when i was in 1st or 2nd grade. Yes the trauma that ishaan had was real. I can totally relate to him. I was really glad and fortunate that my parents had known about this condition and they were actually "My Guradian Angel" as of Aamir Khan to Ishaan.
Just Love This Movie and always makes me emotional whenever I Watch it.

I live for the dad’s reaction 🥹 and honestly the young boy’s answer was so satisfying to hear that he’s “emotionally exhausted” 😂 also I wish you guys could have subtitles available for the last scene cause that verse of the song was saying “fly high where your heart is…” symbolise his end posture of flying and his possible carrier in art. A bird ready to set off on his own journey after being trained by his guardian angel (Aamir Khan).

I don't know who recommend them Jersey😄 I mean its not bad film but it's cricket based movie so first you have to understand cricket and its rules and if you don't know that then you will be bored...
My strong recommendation to you is amir's PK and Ghajhni and then Bajrangi Bhaijaan , Andadhun etc

@@manidhingra5192 i understand that .. but when it's split into 3 parts you will have to wait for approx 5-6 Days to watch reaction of 1 movie ... And by that time one looses intrest and most people don't want to come back ... Most people like to binge watch and finish in one go

@@manidhingra5192 i think you are from the minority, and talking about weekly series episode release, audience have no control over its release. Hence they have no option rather than waiting. @@ashish9k actually the main reason series lose viewers every episode has been proven to be primarily because writers get changed and people dislike the new styles of episodes, or watch a few and realise it isn't something they'll enjoy. in fact streaming services with a weekly release or even daily release are getting more hype and larger following than the same quality or even the same show on Netflix, who's policy is to upload an entire show at once which has caused netflix to lose so much money and now they have decided to put ads and request people to stop sharing passwords.

Hey dude when you are watching jersey movie try to watch the original version in original language. Because the dubbed version on you tube have a very bad screenplay. And it was editing and cut so badly. In the worst case scenario if you didn't find the original one i recommend you to watch the 2022 remade version of jersey by Shahid Kapoor which is on Netflix. And to find the original version try to ask jaby koay because he found it.

The movie was released in 2007 when I was 17.when ever I watch this movie I cry a lot watching your reaction I cried because I go through the same situation. My daughter is 8 years old when she was 4 years old she started junior school The same things happen to me and my husband. The school started to complain that she is not sitting, listening and writing. We thought that she couldn't go to school. We go through so many hardships for 3 years. Now she is in 2nd grades and we succeeded 70% . Now everything is going normal and peaceful. In this process I saw many kids and their parents having a very hard time(physically, mentally challenged kids)raising their child. At that time i realised that compared to those parents my worry is very very tiny. I got the courage and confidence watching those parents.

Many many parents (specially asian) that try to lead all the life for the kid...... It's like not having any freedom of choice.
I connected to this movie the most in my life.... I also wanted to pursue arts! Though I didn't have dyslexia but after talking to many people inside and outside house, I realised that people don't look at their surrounding as much as I do. I pay attention to so may things that sometimes I find myself creepy or weird. This habit was so bad since I was young that I would stand at my door or window and stare outside for hours untill someone told me off. I would sit on my roof all evening looking at the people and the sky. And very soon I realised that I wanted to do arts and devote my life to it! But I wasn't allowed to. I have just finished my Masters in Physics and even today the only drive that I have in life is that as soon as I start earning I will build myself a small studio where I'll create all the art that I ever thought of.
And I want to make a masterpiece that I have been thinking about quite a few years now. I'm going to name it 'image of self' or 'self portrait' to describe my life through my eyes. And It's definitely gonna be dark 😁. I wish the days when I'll start it and also finish it would come soon.
