By the way, the scenes and plots in LILAC’s MV represent IU’s own early journey of career in decade(2011~2021). From her changes in the train and scene of a series of fighting, we can see that she has overcome a lot of difficulties to make her legends we can see today.
At MV's ending, the lights and sounds of coming train represent her new beginning of 30's, of course, "Love Wins All" also as a amazing part in it.
IU is a very unique singer and is known as a national treasure in South Korea.
She encountered financial difficulties in her family when she was a child, so she determined to become an "adult" who could support her own life earlier. Because she likes singing, she decided to be a singer. She hoped to connect the hearts between "I and YOU" through music with emotions, so she took the stage name "IU".
Originally, she wanted to be a traditional ballad singer when she debuted, but because too young, she did not gain much attention from the public in that time(when she is only 15).
Later, the entertainment company tried to package her as an idol singer and achieved great success (in the year she was 18). But when she became very popular with the public at the age of 21 with her beautiful appearance and cheerful personality, she decided to regain her original ambition and embark on a completely different path from ordinary Kpop......She remake songs more than 20-years-old, and re-introduced the popular culture of the previous generation to the younger generation, and received a very good response from public.
From then on, Koreans no longer viewed her as an idol with only a sweet image, but instead viewed her with respect as a real "artist of music" who contributed to popular culture.
In additional to her famous angelic voice just like moonlight, she is also known for her versatility and is an award-winning singer, music producer, lyricist, also a top-tier actress and model. She has many popular songs composed by herself.
Because she has held the belief that "love will eventually win" for many years, she wrote the lyrics and produce the project herself, and specially asked the film director she had collaborated with to film this MV.(The directer won the 2023 Blue Gragon Films Award of Korea)

Correct me if I am wrong but I think IU said she wrote it for her fans. I think it is a sweet commentary of their parasocial relationship. My interpretation is IU is IU and V is Uaena (her fans). The cubes are trolls/ media. In the MV, she is deaf/mute, he is partially blind - it may seem there is no fathomable way these two can understand each other. However, whether separated by language (she cannot hear/speak) or distance (he cannot see), they communicate about sweet memories (about macron's and taking pictures) and laugh much like inside jokes between IU and her fans or photos at fan meetings. They both have scars of criticism or scandals over the years. At its end the trolls/ media come to consume another artist and fandom and discard it like a pile of clothes and IU is ready to fight but V (the fans) steps in front of her to defend her and their bond, but they are met with a bitter end. A sad reality every artist must face someday. She shields V's good eye to protect him from the inevitable. I think she understands the way it is but is happy to set out on the journey with her fans anyway. I think of her lyric "Will you courageously set with me? Destroy me slowly and chilly, ruiner"; OR this is just about her and her boyfriend, and her asking for some privacy, not sure haha.😭

Holssi is actually the beginning of the 2 MV set of Holssi and Shopper. As you likely know IU likes to tell stories through her MV's where she can provide more depth and meaning to the story she is telling. She will also use multiple MV's in the telling of those stories and this set of MV's is just such an example.
In Holssie is she telling us the what and why of what she is doing in the next chapter of her career. Using Tweety bird as a metaphor of her approach upto this point and Dandylion seeds as a metaphor of what she is planning for the future (which is the present as she is already on her World Tour which is foundational to what she is doing career wise).
Tweety bird is a precious little bird who has always had to navigate the dangers of the world as posed by Sylvester the cat. Tweety enjoys the safety of his cage only leaving it to escape from Sylvester but always retuning to it. IU has at least in her mine taken a similar approach, in that she has never held a concert outside of Asia. In fact many has suggested that she doesn't need Togo outside of Asia and that see doesn't have anything to prove. In fact IU had considered retiring from singing or at a minimum from doing concerts leading upto the Golden Hour concert. As she said during that concert she never dreamed of performing on a stage that big. No Korean Kpop soloist who hadn't first been apart of a highly successful group has ever tried to break into the US music & concert market, which is exactly what Holssi is telling us she is doing. She is escaping the comfort of her self imposed cage, becoming a Dandylion seed to see how high she can go as a kpop soloist following a different path than all of those before her.
In Shopper IU is telling everyone to dream big outrageous dreams. And to not let anyone tell you to have practical dreams. Don't stop wanting more for yourself don't stop trying to be your best, being all you can be. In Shopper it's said that the items have powers that their rightful owners unlock. Their rightful owners are those who dare to dream big and pursue their dreams.
In typical IU fashion she connected the 2 videos through the use of props, and color. In Holssi she has a shopping cart in Shopper, we'll she is shopping and their are carts outside the Mart. There is 1 dancer dressed in Blue and 2 blue plastic bags along the barrier. DPR Ian is dressed in a similar color blue suit, his car is the same color and the 2 security guards are also dressed in blue. But the clincher is when IU is outside the theater, where there are Dandylion seeds floating around her. After that scene the Dandylion seeds are replaced by confetti, a symbol of Victory.
DPR Ian is a singer, director. He directed this MV as well as being the male lead. IU Produced all 4 MV's. The producer you mentioned after Shopper was the Producer of the song Shopper.
