El Jefe Bass

The El Jefe amp is a super simple, but incredible sounding and very versatile 70 watt amp. It boasts only Volume,Tone and a Master Volume but despite this it excels at guitar and bass duty. A pair of 12ax7 tubes into a pair of 6L6GC is all you need for everything from great rock tones to awesome old school bass. I ran the head into a Bergantino 4-12 bass cab mic'd with a Shure SM7B and an EV RE 320 on two different cones but approximately the same position relative. The mics come straight into a Tascam US-1800 and into reaper. No effects of any kind were done other than balancing the two mics levels.
