I love when somebody is like "now, I dont believe in ghosts" but then goes on to describe how their furniture and dishes are always stacked up in weird ways every morning. And how pictures flew off the wall at their heads. And they're just like "damn, must've been the wind"

This happened to me when I was 15 (so 8 years ago) I Woke up one night, went to the bathroom, opened the fridge for a water bottle, then woke up in my bed. I Got weirded out for a bit but thought nothing of it cause Ive had weirder dreams. Went to the bathroom, Opened the fridge for a water bottle, realized I was doing everything step by step from the dream, then I promptly woke up again. I was scared at that point. Didnt move for about an hour, built up the courage to go to the bathroom cause I really had to go. Used the bathroom and went to the kitchen sink to get water instead. As soon as I grabbed A cup I heard a disembodied voice say “you should probably wake up now” and woke up in a cold sweat with tears streaming down my face. I sat in bed not daring to move till I heard my mom wake up in the morning. Never told her about it. Sometimes I kinda hope I wake up again so I can get a fresh start on a lot of things. Still makes me question whether or not I am actually awake.

I think my top strangest things are: dreaming my friend asked me to hold onto her gold bracelet her grandmother gave her because we were in PE (middle school) and I didn't put on my PE clothes so I had pockets. I didn't realize this was a dream as it seemed so real. A few days later I came across the bracelet in the drier after doing laundry. I tried to return it to my friend, not only did she not recognize the bracelet, she doesn't know her grandmother. So I still to this day, over a decade later have this bracelet that I don't know where it came from.
I had a weird experience in high school. My best friend and I were in the same class and the whole class was going to the library. My friend and I were the last ones to leave the class room. We were walking so slow while talking that we got left behind and couldn't even find our classmates. So we arrive at the library and our class isn't there. We are worried we took so long that they have already headed back and we missed them. We are about to walk out of the library when the class walks in. We some how got there before everyone else. Everyone was very confused and thought we must have run ahead a different rout to get there first or something. Idk what happened. The other students said they made no additional stops and we all took the same path to the library.

But the one I remember distinctly was I laying in bed and I had that sudden falling feeling and I remember thinking don't freak out it's not real and I didn't let it bother me until it I heard the sound of falling at high speed and the air rushing past my head. I strongly suspect that premonitions - especially those in dreams - have something to do with our limited perspective of the flow of time. My dreams occasionally come true. It happens once every few months. They're different from regular dreams; they're clearer, sharper, and last only for a few seconds. Just long enough to hear part of a sentence or get the layout of a room. The moments are entirely random and have no context or direct benefit; it's not like I see winning lotto numbers or anything awesome like that. Nor do I know when the event will occur in real life. Sometimes it happens a week later, others several months. But I dreamed of my aunt's near-death, a fire and burglary at another relative's house, and various small moments and locations during my travels. Even when I was a kid in school, I learned some lessons easily because I'd seen them in a dream. I used to chalk it up to deja vu, but keeping a dream journal has proven that wrong. As someone who is logical and science-oriented, the fact that I can't prove any of this is ridiculously annoying.
But the absolute worst one was when I was still awake. It happened several years ago, when I was living with my aunt and uncle. I was just drifting off to sleep around 5 AM, when I suddenly heard my uncle scream my name from right outside my window. It was loud and clear, and it sounded like he was terrified. We lived in a very dangerous neighborhood, so I thought he must have heard something outside and found a prowler. I immediately jumped up out of bed, grabbed an axe and flashlight, and went outside. But there was no one there.
My uncle screaming my name shouldn't have been possible for several reasons. He worked the graveyard shift at his company, and was always out the door by 4 AM. I texted him, and confirmed that he was already 40 miles away. But I had heard his voice. The area outside my window was not easily accessible, either. It was a side path that could only be accessed by the front gate several feet from my window, and the back gate that lead to the alley behind the house. Both gates were barricaded to prevent prowlers from getting in. If the front gate wasn't barricaded, it was big and noisy enough that it would've alert me that someone was using it. And if someone had climbed over the gates, there were fallen leaves all over the path. I would've heard the footsteps. Not even the raccoons and possums that regularly snuck through there were that quiet. What kind of burglar would go through all that trouble just to sneak up to my window and perfectly mimic my uncle's voice?
I told my aunt and uncle, and they said it was just a dream. But I wasn't asleep. There was the possibility of it being a hallucination brought on by exhaustion, but somehow I knew it was more than that. I never forgot what it sounded like. Skip forward six months later, and my aunt is in the ICU with a coma and heart and breathing trouble. My uncle and I were home when he got the news, and he screamed my name exactly same way as I remembered. What I'd heard has been a premonition, or maybe a warning. Since then, I've been keeping track of my dreams, and my family takes them far more seriously. Again, I have no way to prove or explain it, other than the flow of time isn't as linear as we perceive it to be. My theory is that some events are happening simultaneously and are somehow connected, but we can only experience them in a certain order due to how the human brain processes information.
Also, some of my belongings go missing at random, and then eventually reappear in plain sight. Usually it's something small, like a flashlight or chapstick. But the most recent one was an entire Lego set. I get an Architecture set for my birthday and Christmas every year; this time I'd gotten the Shanghai skyline and the Great Wall of China sets respectively. When I finished the latter, I took it to my room, thinking about what I'd have to move around in order to make enough space for it. The obvious choice was the Shanghai set. But it wasn't there. It wasn't on my shelf where I left it. And I couldn't have misplaced it; it's one of the largest Architecture sets I have. My room is pretty small, and there's no place to hide it. I also couldn't find the box it came in. Nobody would've broken into my house just to steal a Lego set. I asked the person who'd gifted it to me, and they couldn't remember giving it to me. But I clearly remember building and putting it on my shelf. I didn't take any photos of it, so I have no way to prove that such a memory actually happened. But I know it did. I don't know if I ended up in some alternate timeline, or if this is some kind of warning. Oddly enough, I went to Shanghai back in October 2019, but nothing crazy happened.
A couple of minor things: Sometimes I'll suddenly think of someone that I haven't seen or spoken to in a while, and then they'll call me. When I used to watch TV (don't own one anymore) I'd be channel surfing and sometimes think that a certain episode of a show will be on, and I'd be right. These two might be just coincidences, but the dreams and the missing items certainly aren't. I've also had a few moments of depersonalization/derealization. There have been a few times (usually when I'm really tired) where I've thought my reflection didn't look right, or that I'm just observing things, that my surroundings are just a recreation of the real world. I remember my mom being mad at me because of something I'd said offhandedly in a private conversation with someone else, and there's no possible way she could've found out unless I was being watched or reported on. That was back in the 90s, when there were no cell phones. It made me think of The Truman Show. Logically, I know that can't be right; there's even a delusion specifically about that kind of thing. But it seriously made me wonder how much of what I'm seeing is actually real.
TLDR: Some of my dreams are premonitions. It isn't deja vu. And one time, it happened when I was awake. Stuff goes missing, and other explainable things happen as well.

Honestly makes me feel better that I’m not the only one that this happens to. When I was a sophomore in high school I had a dream where I woke up in my vehicle. All I could see was snow, a cracked windshield, and blood on the steering wheel while my name was being said. I told a couple of my friends and one of my brothers about the dream and we all just brushed it off. Fast forward a few weeks and we have a bad snow storm and my dumbass takes a two wheel drive suburban on the highway. Ended up rolling it with one of my friends and my brother and it was the exact same scene from that dream.
I still get dreams like those and sometimes they psych me out because when they happen I’m usually spacing off and come back to reality to see the same exact scene from one of the dreams.
This has always happened since I was a kid and I used to think it was just a weird case of deja vu until that day. It all clicked and I realized it was something similar yet different from deja vu.
Sometimes I get really into thinking about it which usually ends up with me thinking that everything is fake or planned somehow, but that makes me sound crazy so I try not to do that lmao. I wish my friends could understand better of what I’m talking about just so I have someone that understands lol

How does believing you heard your uncle yelling your name as you were falling asleep and then months later hear him yelling your name mean anything? I'm also a scientific thinker, so if you are too you would have to agree that eventually you would hear your uncle yell your name, dream or not. For example, I had a dream about my mother crying late at night. Months later, I heard her crying late at night because my cat was dying. That wasn't me predicting the future. Also, Ive hallucinated plenty of sounds when falling asleep, but I don't think I can see the future.
Edit: Also, about you constantly losing stuff and you swear you left it there, and you say that you're confident in that, why cant you just have had a lapse in memory and forgot what you did with these things? You previously stated that the mind is flawed and can only perceive time linearly, so you have to agree with the statement that our memories are flawed as well. I'm a scientific thinker, just like you.

When you delete a file on a hard drive the computer is simply telling the hard drive that the space is empty. The file is still there. Sometimes remnants of the files are still detectable. I did this twice, warning this is a long comment, once in my own house and once in a friend's house a few years ago, I've since been told that it's lucid sleep walking, you can see what you are doing however you have no control over your body whilst what ever you are doing as it's not the conscious part of your brain but your subconscious part, so I did it the first time and I to thought it was a dream until the next day, basically I slept on top bunk, I managed to get down off top bunk, open bedroom door, I got almost to bottom of stairs and that's when the lucid bit starts, I just randomly stare at the ceiling for a few seconds, then walk in to the front room, turn on the light and television, sit down in a chair and just look at this other chair, remember talking to someone that wasn't there, and well that's all I can remember, I wake up the next day back in bed, bedroom door closed (only closes and locks from inside an issue with outer handle means it can't fully close from the outside) and so I thought it was a dream, until I walked down the stairs and my mum asked me what I was doing at about 3/4am getting up, putting the light and tv on and not turning them off, told her I thought I dreamt that, well that's when my mum found out I have started sleep walking since my brain injury as never slept walked before then but have many, many times since then, scared my sister once, got up in the middle of the night and just walked back and forth between 2 walls in the room she said I did it for a good 10mins if not closer to 20mins, it's common knowledge in the family I sleep walk, well when I stayed at a friends house for the first time I forgot to tell them that I well sleep walk, well I wake up and they tell me I did some really weird things, I apparently fell asleep on the couch, they was still awake when I randomly sat up, just stared at them for a good minute, then got up, went to the bathroom, washed my hands, then went in to their kitchen grabbed a bottle of water, opened it drank some water, put the lid back on and then went back to sleep on couch, thought I dreamt it again until my friend said I was really weird and so I just said oh yeah forgot to mention I sleep walk, we found it funny but at the time he found it really unnerving especially me just sat staring at them for about a minute

So later that night after I fell asleep, I woke up randomly around 2 AM and kept on trying to go back to sleep but nothing worked. I eventually decided to go downstairs and sleep with my parents, because I thought that would work for some reason. Right as I was about to climb down the ladder to get down my bunk bed, and I swear to God, I saw a dark shadowy hand sticking out of the bunk bed. I started questioning weather or not this was just a hallucination. Later my dumb eight year old self, had told my best friend at school about it, and he probably told me some dumb rumor about how he saw similar dark figures, and Later on, I continued to believe this even more, and kept dreaming about it and hallucinating even more about it, but soon enough I told my parents the whole story. They told me there was no such thing and I didn't believe it anymore.

14:00 this happened to me when I was younger. The first one I had was of my friend and 2 people I had never met finding a wet soggy gatti town card and saying “we’re going to be rich!”. Woke up, and kind of just forgot about it. One day, 2 years later, I was outside and something made my skin crawl. Just then my friend and the 2 people I hadn’t met (I knew them now) came up to me and said, word for word, “Ava! Look what we found! We are-“. “going to be rich? You have a gatti town card don’t you”. They gave me a weird look and sure enough, they did. This happened like 2 times a year. Later I had a dream that a pink lifted Ford was speeding in my neighborhood and hit my cat. I walked outside a year later and saw the same freaking car. My cat walked out and I grabbed them and went back inside. I still don’t know if I saved my cat but I know for damn sure I wasn’t going to risk it.

About 2 weeks before one, she seemed awefully restless and would wake me up in the middle of the night by pawing me in the face and run around in the house. She never NEVER does that usually and since earthquakes are kinda rare where I live, this out of character restlessness let me know the earthquake was coming. After it hit, however, she would go back to being her usual docile self. She did that about four times and the last two times we had an earthquake she did not seem to sense it but I chalk it up to her either getting used to it or just getting old lmao.

But it was only just that , like there was never anything sensational or this big magical moment i just would immediately rememeber the dream and be like i literally dreamt this exact moment with everything down to the detail awhile ago . I never told anybody cause i figured people would just be like “yeah …. Okay” and not really believe it which i 100% couldnt blame them for cause it seems so absurd so i just never mentioned it all to people but seeing how its legitimately something that is somewhat normal . It's usually nothing of importance, but just knowing what's going on while getting a feeling of "I've done this before" is chilling. Ever since I was small, I've experienced this, and I experience it often. It makes me wonder if my brain is just tricking itself, or if it's a glitch in a simulation, or if I'm dead and this is just the stage where my brain is running through all my memories during my life,, or if it's an alternate reality or timeline being broadcasted between the consciousness of me and my alternate self. I've been dealing with a set of recurring auditory hallucinations due to really long overnight hours at work. Most often, it's a bunch of laughing coming from somewhere far away, but I sometimes get these strange conversations between two unknown people. A week ago, I was startled by loud screams, only to find that there was no obvious source. I hear footsteps, sometimes very aggressive ones, animal sounds, emergency alarms, car horns, and passing trains, but the one that freaks me out the most is the sound of a crashing van. I was in a nasty car accident when I was around 3, and lost a brother, almost two. I was mostly unharmed, except for slicing my hands on a broken window. For the longest time, I only had tiny pieces of memories from that moment of my life, but since I started hearing those crashing sounds, these memories are back in more detail than I'm used to. I can remember climbing out of my seat and through the broken window, sitting in a stranger's car with my oldest brother, having a mask put over my face and laying across from my mother while we were driven to a hospital. The worst memory I have brough back though is when we had first crashed and I looked behind me into the back seat. For a moment, I could see my brother, eyes closed, body limp. Somehow even then, I knew something wasn't right. Somehow, with zero concept of life and death, I understood that I wouldn't ever see my brother's face again.
I need to get some sleep.

When I was in grade school I used to get something like Deja Vu. It started out with just the feeling of having had this situation/conversation happen before. As I got a bit older it changed a bit and I'd remember what's about to happen. Usually just a couple of seconds before it did, but sometimes several minutes before it'd happen. When I'd get the chance (either because it was going to happen a bit in the future or when it was something happening that I had no control over, I was able to quickly tell my brother or a friend and watch them be amazed when it actually happened. It was never anything big or important, things like what someone was about to say, or something minor about what was going to happen. Once I hit teens it started happening less and less until it stopped.

I don't remember ever anticipating something, like, "Now, she's going to say ___" or anything, but there were several times, when I was around people I had only recently met, in a location where I'd never been before, where it would hit me that I had been there before, with those exact people, talking about that exact thing, and seated in that exact manner. @Bill Cipher Well, from what I noticed... Don't do anything really high dopamine in that day. Anything that really gives you a lot of endorphins. Games are sort of okay, but keep them as games that you haven't played often, or games that you don't understand the story or game mechanics of. Pretty much, you just want to lead a "normal" few days, and you might start feeling some odd deja vu. I can't really remember any of my dreams because of the increased worry of being older, but if you can escape for a day and relax, you might remember your dream better. Mostly, any future-predicting dreams I have had will not be remembered until the moment comes that they predicted. Sometimes you can remember them, but most of the time it's only the last second when you are feeling deja vu. This is my experience with it, you might not have as easy of a time, or maybe an even easier time. Most of this comment is also speculation, based off of the variables which appeared to "cause" the dreams.
One last thing; I don't know or understand the reason these dreams work, or exist. I have two theories on why they occur. One is that a being, such as God or some other, is communicating with us and is telling us about things that will happen. The other is that humans have an innate ability to predict the future. For example, your sixth sense, where you can feel someone watching you, etc. Most other animals can also feel this sense, which is why you don't stare at people/animals, especially if you are hiding. Dreams might activate these parts of the brain occasionally, which could cause premonitions. Still, I have no idea, and this is just speculation. Either way, good luck!

Heard about spirits, didn't really believe in them until I went on a church mission. Encountered an evil one. Never want to do it again.
We got this referral to some lady out in the boonies she told us she wanted us to perform an excorcism and wanted us to schedule a day to come back and do it. I kind of guffawed at this notion, as in my religion we don't do excorcisms, not in the Hollywood traditional notion anyway. We usually just pray or something similar and (from most stories I've heard) that works.
Well anyway, each time we would try to come over, she would wind up coming up with some wierd excuse, like "the dog is sick, today just isn't a good day" or something simular and we would just reschedule. Well, about the 4th time this happened I got kinda irritated and decided appointment be darned, we'll just show up at a random time. This is when it got crazy.
We were driving to the destination (about a 15 minute drive) when all of a sudden we get a phone call. [I was one of two missionaries and I was in charge of the one phone we had.] It's the lady and she is beside herself. The first thing she asks me, is if we are on our way to her house. I deny it, and she gets beligerent and starts yelling. Calling me a liar and she knows for a fact that we are heading over and yells at us to turn around then hqngs up the phone. I immediately suspect my missionary buddy ousted us, but after looking at him (and interrogating him later) I got the sense that he never told her anything about it. We go anyway and when we get there, her family is in the yard burying their dog. We approached and she ran right up to us in tears berating us on what we've done. Apparently in our attempt to get to her house her healthy dog of 7 years started to have a massive seizure (something the dog was not known for) and over a span of about 10 minutes, spasmed and died. She told us we were responsible for her dogs death and she refused to have us come near the house lest one of her family have it happen to them. Defeated, we left.
Now this all was still wierd to me, and I didn't fully believe it until I started piecing some things together afterward. My 1st clue was that my missionary buddy hadn't made any phone calls or texts from the phone (our only method of communication with her and she lived 13 miles away), that and we had come up with this plan a day prior, no way to send her mail, and neither party had any mutual friends. 2nd I did the math on when she said the dog started having seizures and it was about 6 minutes prior to the phone call, this was the exact minute we got in the car to drive to her place. 3rd, I actually asked a high ranking person in my church about it (a couple ranks higher than the pastor of our church house). This question came about, due to the bizzare unsettling nature of the experience and the the facts that I had acrued. I figured if anyone could answer my question, it would be him. I was able to convince him to spare a minute with me (and without sharing any details), I asked, "I had something interesting come up lately and I was wondering about your thoughts on the matter. Basically, I just want to know, do you think a spirit has the ability to take the life of a person here on the Earth? I've looked into it, but it seems to go against what the scriptures say, and I think it would be too much power over a persons free will. I don't think God would allow it, do you?" His answer actually floored me. He said, "Well if you remember, Jesus cast legion into a herd of swine and they ran off a cliff. I do recall that the pigs drowned in that scenario. And as for spirits, we know that those who become possessed often give the spirits power to do so. In my experience, it's just the amount of what you give them that makes the possession worse." That's when it clicked for me. The lady before had talked about how she and her friends used to try a lot of spiritual communication experiments and stuff when she was a kid (a house which she still lived in, even then) and how she couldn't number all of things she and her friends had tried and done. To the point where they finally got a hands on experience, and never did them ever again. I got the feeling that I had probably come in contact with something real, and it was unlike anything I knew or was probably prepared for. It still sticks with me to this day, and I don't think I'll ever forget it. [P.S. I wound up having other spiritual encounters after this, but nothin quite like this. And they were pretty blatant. If you wish to hear some more, just let me know. I had kind of a crazy mission.]

@Sarah Collins it's not at all in any way "lucky." I used to get and rarely still do have dreams of things that happen days or maybe even weeks before they happen. It's terrifying since "premonitions," in my religion, are NOT from God.
I've had dreams where I'm in a random building I have never once been in, nor knew it existed and could remember every detail about it. Fast forward a week or so and BOOM, I'm an art gallery with my friends that none of us have ever been to and yet I already remember being there. I could even remember the conversations we've had in the gallery before even knowing we were going to one.
TLDR: not lucky, nor from God in my religion, and I can remember buildings and conversations from places I've never been to.

I'm 19 and I still have moments of deja vu with dreaming about the future. I would dream an exact scenario, wake up, forget about it, and then an undetermined amount of time would pass, and then the scenario would start playing out, and I know how the scenario ends every time. I don't know, and I almost don't want to find out

In the early 1990s I was working for a large company in their computer department, running various computing programs that included payroll accounting. I had to go to Portsmouth(UK) to help a company branch down there to help setup the payroll system and show them how to run it and set up various prints which included payslips which had to be setup correctly on a printer so the numbers were in the right boxes etc. Payroll was only run at night, so during the day I wasn't needed so I just explored round the town. As I did I went past places I that aware of but could not remember being there before, which seemed so familiar. Back at the rooms I was staying in, (student accomodation while the students were away for the summer) I tried to remember why it all felt so familiar. Eventually, bits and pieces came to mind that I was there during the late 60's or early 70's when I was in the RAF(left in 76) and was probably there for a few days, but that had all been pushed back in memory and forgotten about as so much I had done, holidays abroad etc, that those memory were no longer relevant, until of course I went to Portsmouth thinking this was my first visit, but eventually realised I had been there decades before with the RAF.

I have SO many strange things happen. A possessed dinosaur eraser, my new obsessions affecting people I don’t know, and the weirdest was the time that I battled with a sleep demon. Explanation: I had a dinosaur eraser that I put in the back of my school desk, I made sure it was there and was on light duty so I was the last one to leave the room and the first one to enter, we came back from doing something and it was poking out of the front of the desk, never trusted it again. I have a hard time explaining the obsessions but I would get interested in something old and then my favorite youtuber would do a video on it. And the most recent was my fight with a dream demon. I know it sounds crazy but it’s true. I fell asleep one night and had a nightmare but I woke up when I realized something bad was going to happen. But my room was different, I had fallen asleep again. And then for an entire 2 hours or so I fought myself to stay awake but every time I would blink, boom, asleep again. I told my family about it 3 times and had a nervous breakdown in the dream before I woke up and didn’t fall back asleep. By the end of it I would wake up in the dream and have to defend myself from shadow demons while willing myself to wake up. IT WAS MADNESS. I have never looked at the world in the same way since and regularly wonder if I am still dreaming.

I used to have this weird recurring dream that I was being chased by a huge dragon (think: Maleficent) all around this school building. I was a teacher, and it was my job to protect the children. After several times of the dream, where me and 10-20 young children ended up cornered in a classroom, death assured, I finally decided to open a door to the outside of the school, then perch myself on a partial wall near that door. As the dragon approached, it suddenly turned into a tiny little cartoon dragon, and on its back two legs, walked out of the school. I never dreamt about it again.
I think that had something to do with a tragedy that I hadn't yet dealt with, and was my subconscious trying to tell me that I had to 'bring it out into the light of day.'

I go to press the button to our floor, but she stops me and says we have to go to the 347 floor. Huh? Our building only has 16 floors. But whatever. So we get there and she steps out, says thanks for walking her home. I say can’t I come with you? She says no, but remember where you left me. I wake up, immediately call my big sister. Suddently everything went a little darker and time "froze", and my mom or whoever that was, levitated towards me and said "are you sure? Here you have everything you ever wanted, a loving girlfriend, family..." - meanwhile all i could see was juat memories of this fake life that i no longer remember.
I replied, "yeah, but this is not real, i have all of these things except i don't. Get me out of here"
She said "are you sure?" And i said "yes"
And then i woke up in the middle of the night, creeped the fuck out. I did nothing but stare at the ceiling wondering if i was still dreaming.

    1. My sister and I have had sleep paralysis at my grandmother’s home in the SAME room, in the SAME bed but months apart. We both saw tall, almost skeletal figure looming in the doorway. It’s only happened once and NEVER again.
    2. My ex boyfriend and I spent a summer house sitting for my mom while she was helping my grandmother nurse her brother during his final stage of cancer. One night I had this terrible dream that my mom died and I was fighting with my sister and grandmother who wanted to have her funeral immediately, and I couldn’t understand why. It was all so overwhelming and I woke up sobbing, my ex spent an hour comforting me. It was too early to call and check on my mom, about 5am, so we went for an early morning walk and breakfast to get my mind off things. A few hours later, as we were heading back to the house, my mom called and told me that my grandmother’s brother had passed away that morning. I’m not sure what it meant but if my ex hadn’t been there with me, I would have thought I was crazy.

Not scary, but definitely super creepy: I began reading this book called, "The Game of Life and How to Play It" by Florence Scovel Shinn. In one of the passages, it mentioned to claim all that is yours by divine right, and it shall come to you. Being the mild pessimist I am, I doubted it, but I tried it out anyways, because what's the harm? I proclaimed the statement before I took a nap, and asked the Universe or whatever to show me whatever I needed to know in my dream. I dreamt that a girl (that I'm friends with) and I were really cuddly and she kept trying to kiss me. I kid you not, when I woke up, guess who had messaged me? The girl. And it was to tell me she had a crush on me. I'm still amazed at this story, and I can't believe the insane coincidence of events that occurred.

@@r011ing_thunder6 fuck yeah! It literally unlocks a sort of power within you that makes you feel like you're superhuman. After this incident, I've been saying the mantra I wrote above ever since, and I'd be lying if I said my dreams haven't turned into visions. Recently, I dreamt that my electrician was in a frenzy and very depressed because his wife was seeing dead people in a graveyard. As soon as I woke up and told my sister this, she told me his mom died the previous night before and he was very depressed and in a frenzy. Coincidence? I'm not sure. But a very wild one at that.

    I got two awesome stories:
    1. In the middle of a cloudy night in the middle of nowhere I shined a flashlight to the sky and turned it off. Then the sky lit up behind the clouds. It was faint but it definitely covered many miles of sky. I then turned my flashlight back on and to the sky and made a small pattern. Seconds later the sky repeated it. I did it for a while and I tried to rationalize what was going on but nothing added up.
    2. Had sleep paralysis. Woke up early morning when it was still dark. I looked towards the foot of my bed and saw a tall and skinny opaque girl standing there. I tried to move but I couldn't. I then forced my toes and fingers to wiggle. Slowly regaining control of my body I moved towards a string above my that turned on the lights. Then she took a step towards me, then another and another. I wrapped my hand around the string and she lunged towards me as I pulled the string. I woke up and the fucking lights were turned on.

Weird family thing that my mom's side has. Pretty much, from what my mom has said, there's a huge thing with paranormal/demonic/witch related stuff that happens with her family (not possession, more like encountering it or witnessing it, no injuries or haunting) but almost every one of my mom's siblings, including her, remember a time from their childhood where they jumped over a fence for a quicker route, ended up in a weird place, and got back days later. From my mom, she lived in California (she was poor) and after school, she would sometimes jump a fence to get to her house faster since it was a chain link and she could see the other side, plus not very high either. She said one day she decided to do it again, but on another part of the fence. She could clearly see her town on the other side, so she jumped it and got over, before seeing a completely different town. Almost like she went across the country just from jumping the fence. She had never seen this said town before, so she told me she walked around a bit. She said she was going to step on the road, but something told her to not do it, or else something bad might happen. Which, she followed and ran back over to the fence and jumped it again. (btw, there were no people, no cars, no labeled shops no nothing) when she jumped it again and just walked home, she said her family yelled at her for where she was, her saying she was only gone around maybe 10-20 minutes, before her mom telling her she was gone for almost a week. Which, an encounter like this almost happens to everyone in her family. Which is probably why she is kinda into crystals and stuff since we may be descendants of witches, but then again hates me saying it lol. But from my personal experience, I never have really had something like this other than like a Narnia effect lol
My cousins, when I was around 10, had a huge closet which we would put someone into to count for hide and seek, and it was my turn to count. Mind you, it was mid day and they whole house was bright when I went in, and after coming out it was like it was complete midnight with no moon. All the windows were dark without the curtains covering things, absolutely no one in the house anywhere, and not even cars outside of the windows. I couldn't even see the road from the window from how dark it was. From me, being a small child and a huge fear of the dark, started crying, which something in my head told me to be as quiet as possible. I did, went back to the closet for a second, and instantly when I reopened it my cousins started yelling at me for only waiting a second before coming out to find them, which after telling them they didn't care much and had me hide and someone else. Still spooky.

To those of you here because you have a recent instance of something similar, remember to check with (questions thoroughly) the city, utility office, PREVIOUS RESIDENCES, look up records of those who may have died, previous fires, etc.

I have consistent auditory hallucinations, usually just people in my house calling my name of stomping and moving things in our attic when I'm home alone, but once I had one when I was waking home from the bus stop and I was at the bottom of the driveway when I heard one of my little sisters screaming and crying
"NO DON'T HURT ME PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" From inside the house. I ran to the door and opened it as fast as I could asking
"where's -insert little sister's name - where is she!? What is happening ?!" My older brother and his boyfriend looked at me and asked what the hell I was talking about. It turns out my little sisters were at their dad's house the whole time. I asked my therapist and she said auditory hallucinations can use trauma as some sick type of inspiration.

And a few months before my father died I dreamt that he went psycho and tried to kill me so I shot him in self defense and he died. 2 months later he died. And I’m very scared recently bc I’ve been having recurring dreams where my sister and her bf have a baby and I accidentally kill it.

I've had sleep paralysys once in my life. I woke up and couldn't move anything except my head and my vision was a little hazy, but I could feel my surroundings. There were no monsters or anything, thank god... I didn't freak out because a few days prior one of my favorite youtubers talked about sleep paralysys and what it's like. I remember that he said "if it ever happens to you, just remember me and how goofy I can be and you'll get through it." So I closed my eyes, thought of one of his videos then opened my eyes again. My vision cleared and I could move, so I just got out of bed and went on with my day. I was only like 10, so I could've been traumatized.

    2 stories:
    1. One time I had an out of body experience, I was drifting off into sleep, and noticed I could see myself. My instinct was go to the fridge, grab a pickle, then watch myself sleep. I woke up right after and was like "huh?"
    2. One time I was home alone, maybe 14, I was playing video games and noticed my pets were looking into the kitchen. Both dogs, not sure where the cats were. I go to check it out and the kitchen sink is running, so I turn the faucet off and go back to playing video games. I was mildly creeped out and since the house was dark I eventually got scared and just went to my room. On my way to my room, I notice the bathroom door is open, and some of my cats were looking in there. I get closer, and the bathroom sink is on as well. I get really creeped out and text my dad and don't bother turning it off since, heck, I was 14 and I'm not gonna risk my life to go into my pitch-black bathroom to turn the sink off. I spent the rest of the night, scared, under my covers, with the door locked. Good times.

I have no history of sleep walking, sleep paralysis or night terrors. One night was just falling asleep and I could feel myself going deeper in when I felt two invisible hands holding down my thighs and another two holding down my shoulders but like they were standing behind my head, which was impossible because my bed head is against a solid wall. I tried to move when I felt a warm, tingly, buzzing feeling spread from my scalp slowly down my whole body, lingering in my chest and abdomen before making its way down to my toes.
I was completely freaked out but I made myself relax as best I could and said inside my head “please don’t hurt me”. The feeling was strong but gentle and lasted for what felt like a few minutes. Then the feeling subsided and the invisible “hands” gently released me and I woke up fully with my heart pounding. I was too scared to get out of bed but eventually I did and I went to the toilet.
When I came back I was still freaked out but it was subsiding and I went back to sleep with no incident. I told my sister and she said it was obviously the beings of light realising something was wrong with me and infused me with light energy so I wouldn’t die. Holy shit if it’s true.

I've always had sleep paralysis starting when I was a teenager that I've learned how to move and wake myself up when in this state. I also learned how to turn off the hallucinations. All you have to do is take a deep breath and calm down (It's for your mind to relax and to stop hallucinating) after that give yourself a great push or a powerfull jolt; it always take me atleast 1-3 times to wake up, sometimes you will only wake up and move for 1 second and fall back to your half asleep state. If that happens just repeat the process.
I even give the hallucination the middle finger once back then; feels good.

I asked the only other person in the house. 2: I can feel when people close to me or others close to me die. Not creepy, but it made me question it's origins.
I have a weird memory, if it's even a memory, of being a mother with her child who's running away from a certain group of people in the middle east (?), and then a large sand storm (were in a dessert city some sort) came in and I and the baby hid on a small, probably a medium bedroom sized building, and just waited until the sand buried us to death.
It has been in my head since very little, because I remember a memory of me being a 3 year old kid and randomly became confused of where I am. It's definitely not something I came up with, when I imagine something I am aware of what I am doing the moment I think about it. Definitely not a dream, I never remember seeing it in my dream. It's like a memory I just had. How? idk.

Every time I die in a dream, I wake up (most of the times scared). There is this one time it didn't happened.
I was really tired so I went to bed about 8pm. I started to dream fairly soon, but the ambient was weird. I was in the yard of some building, it was so reddish, pretty cold and silent and it looked like some sort of apocalypse. As by my experience in post-apocalyptic games, I started to loot for anything useful, since I was empty handed. One sound I made, and several humanoid figures shown up from nowhere and started to beat and scratch me. They looked so wild and animalish it terrified me to my bones. They shoved me in the ground and started to scratch me so hard they sliced my muscles and bones, and I felt the pain. One of them even teared a organ out of me. Then I died and I just came back again, to the start. At this point I was thinking about the chances that I may have died in my sleep and that I was in hell, in some kind of endless suffering cycle (I was and still am agnostic). I cried for some time thinking that I would experience an excruciating pain and then respawn from death every single time I would encounter with those vultures. Then I realised that in the worst case scenario I would learn how to overcome those creatures and/or fight back after dying several times, so I picked up the pace and started to scavange again. Eventually I found a handgun and some other stuff, and made a loud noise again. When the creatures started grasping me, I just thought "not this time, fuckers" and shot myself in the head. The next second I woke up in my bedroom, 8am and with my heart beat accelerated as I never saw before. It never happened again.

The story with the high heel noises can almost be explained by books.
I once had that happen to me, I heard a weird rhythmic clacking behind me, like... high heels on a hard floor... despite me walking on a dirt road, it stopped when I stopped walking, and resumed when I did, and I realized it was perfectly synchronized with the movement of my backpack. After checking my backpack, I noticed that the way my books and notebooks were placed was causing a hardcover A4 notebook hit against a book and cause the sound, after rearranging the contents of my backpack I never heard these sounds again.
The only thing about the story that this can't explain (or at least I don't know the way it could) is the fact that the sound only happened when they were alone. The only way I could think of is that perhaps OP was subconsciously using a different walking pattern when near others, and that pattern didn't cause the books to hit.

I once had a dream that seemed to last months. I wont go into too much detail because obviously a dream that long would take a while to go through, but it was as if i woke up in another reality. Several of my dead relatives were alive again, my dog was alive again, and my parents were living in their old house again. I told everyone that some of them had died along with my dog but obviously they didn’t believe me. After a while i ended up seeing a psychiatrist because of my “delusions” about the sudden changes to reality. She even put me on an anti psychotic called “Prolixin”. When i woke up from this “dream” i was super disoriented and felt like i had been away for a hundred years. Like i had to go through a week long readjustment period after waking up. Maybe im crazy but it didnt feel like a dream, and after doing some research i found that prolixin is indeed an anti psychotic. Its is extremely unlikely that i would dream of a drug in the correct context even though id never heard of it. Also i looked up the psychiatrist from my dream. I did end up finding a woman who i think was her but she had a different last name so im unsure.

I hate sleep paralysis with a burning passion. I’ve had that as an on and off problem for years.
First time was when I was in 4th grade and I was in my bed. I shared a bunk bed with my sister and I slept on the top. I was stuck staring at the ceiling and I heard high pitched voices planning my family’s death, using a bomb and leaving me alive to let me suffer with their deaths. As weird as it is to some people, ASMR has helped me a lot with that, knocking me out in an instant and not having to worry about getting it. Over time the help came to a stop for a short while. I’m in my early 20s now and it’s come back occasionally where I end up seeing black figures towering over me and watching me struggle and sweat in fear. I’ve become pretty aggressive and petty about it, forcing myself to get up as fast as possible to spite said figures lol 🤷🏽‍♀️It’s embarrassing but a guy from work that I like has been talking over the phone with me till I fall asleep so I don’t experience it again. It’s comforting and he knows it’s helped a lot. Since then, I haven’t had it ☺️
