    Gotta love how the regulators react AFTER interest rates go up. This should have been done 5 years ago.

      I do believe this was something OSFI was trying to implement since 2021, but it was shutdown until recently. Thank you for the comment and for watching!

    Are we sure thats not already in place? I know a very steady employed person making 90 k a year. He has saved 90k for a down payment, zero debt, but no lender will give him more than 300-350k. There are zero houses in my local market under 500k, and you dont get much for that.

    Replace realitor with an app. Remove % based, make it a set amount.

    Balance OSFI's coming regulatory changes to lending ratios.... with emergent renter "Bill of Rights" politically into the speculative based Real Estate Bubble/Housing Crisis... and.... well... it isn't going to just be "AirBnB" owners... but all leveraged landlords who are reliant rental income as part of that leveraged 'investment' Business Plan to re-assess and PAY attention !
    Either very quickly PAY down leverage and be at least 50-60% equity positioned.... or get TFO asap because you ain't getting 'blood' from a stone when renters decide NOT to Pay !
