    If you still want one of those ultra-elite colleges to come into your life, make excellent grades at your undergraduate institution, get into an honors program if one is offered, score very high on the GRE or GMAT, and apply to an Ivy or similar university for graduate school. That was my path to Stanford (and Johns Hopkins).

    Hey! Quick question, how were you able to apply EA to USC while applying REA to Harvard?

    • @sagedeea
      @sagedeea  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hey! since you have to apply early to be considered for usc scholarships, harvard will still let you apply there :)

      "You may apply for scholarships or special academic programs with an early deadline at another institution, public or private, if the timing is proven to be a necessary aspect for consideration, and the outcome is non-binding." - from Harvard First-Year Applicants webpage

    I am sure you have made your decision but during my residency at MGH in boston, we had a few PLME BA/MD folks from Brown Univ, and some from PENN State . Many of us felt that the perception was that those combined BS/MD students were not highly competitive and frankly, were not the strongest residents. Maybe it had to do with the fact that for the most part, they didn't have to put everything they had in finishing undergrad strong just to get into medical school. However, that time was over 20 years ago, so maybe things have changed quite a b it.
