What did you think of this ride? 💭 Would you participate in a race like this? 🚴♂️💨 If so, would you try to stick in the front and aim for speed or performance, or hang back, enjoy the party and have fun?
I did this ride and I totally agree that it was a great event, so well organised and a lovely route! It is fun to ride fast but also fun to stop and take in the views and meet other riders too! Well done Skyline!
Did this for the first time last weekend. Great event, great atmosphere, couple of lovely descents that allowed a fat old man to catch up a bit of ground on the racing snake types
Enjoying the super nerds series! Next challenge - Vätternrundan 2025 (Sweden). 315km and Europe's largest cycle race/event. It's a perfect ride for the three of you 😁
Yes Guys!!! Thats me with Hank! was amazing meeting you all, thanks for taking the time. Cycling & GCN saved my life, i really mean that. Before cycling I stuggaled with so much in life but finiding the sport and then GCN was a game changer! Love you all! Ian
So cool to meet all of you on Sunday and have a laugh with Hank and Conner (and be in this film taking to hank!), thought you were all such great lovely guys (except Ollie😅, but if you ride 94 miles home after the London to Brighton you're not expected to be human 😂😂) I got home and immediately took out a GCN subscription, if you ever want to come the Chilterns to ride, please get in touch, I'm the membership secretary at Amersham Road Cycling Club 👍 Ride Safe, (and buy Alex a camera tether😅)
A route I did many times when I lived in London. Great food and great connections back to London. First time it took me 7.5 hours, on a hybrid using Google Maps in my pocket!!!! My first proper cycle. I liked it so much I went back the following weekend. It got me into long distance cycling. I cycled once from London to Brighton and got to it before midday, around 4.5 hours. I also did it following a bad crash on the way, long-story, I still got there all bandaged up like the mummy, still bleeding a little!!!
@@conordunne1 oh poor thing, only joking, I did a 68 mile ride round Essex after watching all your videos, ate half a pain a chocolat, 2 jaffa cakes and a small chocolate brownie and 2 cups of tea, bonked after about 9 miles, was carried round by my mates, the last 10 miles were a complete blur 🥰🥰
I sort of did 8km in but as I modified my bikes so SRAM red etap battery was in bar ends but didn't get to ride before bike ride, so lost gears unless hop off to change by derailleur, my foster dad thinks me saying the training tyres is why I took so long is just an excuse for being unfit at the moment, I hate how he don't understand wheels that weigh 1kg is so much easier to keep going than ones that weigh like 3kg, it's like heavier wheels sap my energy but light ones don't, they don't cycle so won't understand that, 2018 without training but fitter on light tubular was 3h 40m and had front flat going down at 42mph, I weigh 25kg more and with heavier wheels, not cycled in months took 7 hours
I have done exactly this, didn’t eat anything before starting; figured I would just get something at one of my usual places along the route. Big, big, mistake. I have never felt so physically miserable. I made it to the store/cafe I had originally planned for; thank goodness for Gatorade and pastries. Fixed me right up.
@@rudolphpyatt4833 I did eat like 3 hours before and as struggle to eat when cycling I had a camelpak to drink from which had carbohydrates but drank a litre less than should of and wish didn't have gear issue
Great video! It was awesome to mix the ride fast challenge with the comedy segments mixed in. Loved that you took the time with the GCN fan who's been inspired like so many of us to try cycling and keep going with your content egging us on and making a bit of community.
Loved the '3 Nerds' attempt, but loved even more, Connor's antics on his and Hank's ride. Especially Connor giving support and pushes to riders on that last climb. So entertaining.
When do we get a mega dorks series? Nerds are a dime a dozen, but dorks are a rare breed. That ABBA reference had me 😂😂😂! It’s also cool to see Connor changing his inner Tyler Pearce with a t-shirt ride 😎
You have inspired me to practice my cycling and have a bucket list event of flying to London to do this event! Very enjoyable!!!! I am proud of Conner for cheering on the people in the hilly section! Well done! 🥹🤩👏
This looks like a really cool ride. My son is doing a local charity ride this morning, but it was 88F with high humidity at 8:00am - I stayed in the AC. You should look for a Barber for Hank - the stop would be worth it.
Well done guys, me and my husband did the challenge too and raised money for 2 amazing charities. We enjoyed the ride and the party though as it was our first time, so not aimed for speed. Well done to everyone ❤
Brilliant video. I did the LtoB 11 times, the last being probably 20 years ago! I used to only stop twice - at Turner's Hill and the top of the Beacon (which is a psychological battle). We used to end up at the Basketmaker's Arms in Gloucester Road for a few pints of Gales HSB. These days I do RideLondon-Essex 100. It does lack a big hill but I think you should do that next year.
GCN sponsored by a nutrition company, Connor bonks 10 miles in! Ollie ' just do what Lance would do' also Ollie stops at every traffic light😜Great video, fun all round and I might have to go and try that segment!
Great video highlighting both sides of charity rides! The friendly spirit and the competitive edge. Which would I choose? Honestly, it's a bit ironic to take pride in "winning" a charity ride, as if it were a world championship, but let's be honest, it's probably my only chance of actually winning something.
Love seeing the A team’s speed and fast cadence synchronized with the music, then the video switched to Hank and Conor… I guess GCN doesn’t have the rights to the Benny Hill theme…
If its not on Strava did it even happen?! And while watching... I'm convincing my mother to get on Strava, with her new cruiser bike that she got today! She has to record the rides so I can cheer her from across the continent :D
Cycling anywhere in London is slower than 1979s and 1980s. More traffic lights, thousands more cyclists at junctions, more traffic that fills the road with big 4-wheel drive pick-up trucks and SUVs so you can't get past them when you're riding faster or between them in stationary traffic. And road surfaces are often much rougher even in open country - horrible on 23C tyres but even slows down modern wide tyres
Guys come down and do the 109km Cape Town Cycle Tour in March....the worlds biggest timed cycle race.....and the local police waive riders through ALL the traffic lights (or robots as the Saffers call them)
Proceed to take out their aero 10k£ bikes… only to have to place their race number in front of the head tube, neglecting all aerodynamic benefits of their supper bike’s front end 🤦🏻♂️ Great vid though! Keep up the series 🤙🏼

🤩👋

I've done seven, mostly eventful, times. See comment below. :)

"Lance would cut the corner"......love it!!😂😂😂😂😂
Truer words...

Ride Safe, (and buy Alex a camera tether😅)
Used to be my stomping ground when i lived in reading! Say hi to lee in velolife for me!
Always great to see the whole crew. I missed Manon, though.
I agree, GCN is just a sausage fest now.
Fellas, this is peak GCN. Smiles all around and stoke for the sport. Well done!
Connor is the true winner. They got there and he had fun.
And just love the fact that he did it wearing a t-shirt
Conner is our spirit animal. Just get to the end and encourage whoever else is there to do it. Love your work.
He’s the groot of gcn

Someone needs to tell Connor there's lots of brilliant videos on a great youtube channel called GCN on how to fuel for long bike rides!
I wasn't allowed breakfast!!!!! 😅

It’s my sixth year riding London to Brighton and it was great to watch a fantastic GCN video on this year’s ride. You smashed it boys!
How do you bonk 10km in??? Is that a world record? Kudos, I guess.
Dammit. Conor is the true winner.

Don't forget the Giraffe has a long neck, so it takes time before the coffee kicks in.

Love these three, Ollie is looking super lean! "You need to behave like you're on the B team" hahahahahaha
Been looking forward to this since I saw the Strava entries!
This was absolute gold. Genuinely feels like a weight has been lifted since the channel left WBD and you’re just having fun with it again
When do we get a mega dorks series? Nerds are a dime a dozen, but dorks are a rare breed. That ABBA reference had me 😂😂😂! It’s also cool to see Connor changing his inner Tyler Pearce with a t-shirt ride 😎
"Filming you, filming me" lmfao I died when that came out of nowhere..
I am loving these GCN videos. Absolutely class!!
Conor bonked AND kept stopping for food, I think he needs another mega breakfast challenge.
Thank you for that ! Legends all !!
We have similar event in Sydney Australia, its called Sydney to Gong (woollongong) 82km. Its for multiple Sclerosis charity held every November.
I can see a new Gcn anthem coming "Ain't got time to FEEED!"....😂
I'm gonna need that "Ain't Got Time to Feed" banger for my riding playlist
You have inspired me to practice my cycling and have a bucket list event of flying to London to do this event! Very enjoyable!!!! I am proud of Conner for cheering on the people in the hilly section! Well done! 🥹🤩👏
This was brilliant, loved the juxtaposition of "the super nerds" with "the fun team"! Please do more!!😊
Nice to see my boy Ollie Rocking the aero mitts! Nice 👍😎
I can't believe it. Someone said something on the GCN that was genuinely funny.
What a banger "ain't got time to feed" is 👌
hahha. love a predator reference!

One of the greatest GCN videos of all time.
Think I have watched every GCN video and “what would lance do” is the best line ever!
I love these videos, it smells fun and authenticity ❤
So aerodynamic that even the hi five was pushed aside.
Well done guys, me and my husband did the challenge too and raised money for 2 amazing charities. We enjoyed the ride and the party though as it was our first time, so not aimed for speed. Well done to everyone ❤
11:46, thank you editors. You've really out done yourselves.
😂😂😂
Fantastic piece by GCN ❤❤❤! Also really enjoyed London to Brighton ride. Wish my start was earlier and met you guys 😊!
Back in the 2010s, I remember being disappointed if I wasn't scarfing croissants on the beach by 9am! Great vid - as usual - gents!
I would love you to have like two teams, one using normal road bikes and drafting while the other just has someone with aero bike
Great video. Connor is the nicest man on the planet!
I do love Conor. "Hank you're in the B team".
This one looked like a lot of fun, makes me happy to watch.
😂 one of my favourite videos of all time - thank you ☺️🥰
I've never been this fast on a video lets gooo
I would love to see GCN max upgrade the eurobike to see how much better it can be 😂
Stuart laugh at 6 minutes was absolutely contagious

Highlight for me, Alex's face at 8:34
Them lycra shorts do people know justic when just stood in front of camera talking about segments 🤣🤣🤣
“Ain’t got time to feed” by Ollie Bridgewood will be a hit! I just know it! 🤩
The ain’t got time to feed remix is just 👌🏼👌🏼
'Ain't got time to feed' - GCN remix! Banger
Like a goose looking after the ducklings😂😂😂😂…
I didn't expect "looking after ducklings". I expected him to flap his long arms and honk at someone >.>
I did this ride in 1982 ! I don't remember any of the climbs until Ditchling Beacon. I was on a 52/48 x 11,12,13, 15, 18 or similar 😂
GCN sponsored by a nutrition company, Connor bonks 10 miles in! Ollie ' just do what Lance would do' also Ollie stops at every traffic light😜Great video, fun all round and I might have to go and try that segment!
Best GCN video in a while! Hella love this!
- Ain't got time to feed' sample lol
What are these 'red traffic lights' at 6 a.m. of which you speak? Fun Sat morn coffee vis. PROPS to the Ginormous Leprechaun for the hill pushes!!!
I’m excited for the release of the new single Ain’t got time to feed!
Nice job! Seeing Si in his replica Mathieu van der Poel aero position on the hoods is fun to watch.
3 nerds!!! I love it! How did Olie convinced them to ride in aero clothing😂
Ain’t got time to feed!!
I'm watching the video and all I can think is that I would have liked to ride with you. You are legends!
It was doing the London to Brighton that got me into cycling. circa 1980.
And you can now buy our new "ain't got time to feed" t-shirt in the GCN shop
Excellent video 😊

Cool bus
Hope to see the bus tricked out like a proper GCN branded world tour car
Saw a coffee place and went backwards? YES
Keep this series coming!
Brilliant! Awesome guys!! 👍👍 Well done!!
Oh wow I did that as well! I had the 9:30 start, wish I managed to see you guys!
I can't imagine finishing this in only 2 hours
Love seeing the A team’s speed and fast cadence synchronized with the music, then the video switched to Hank and Conor… I guess GCN doesn’t have the rights to the Benny Hill theme…
Are the nerds pacing the camera bike🤔 Like a pro tour ride😊
Super high cadences
Why ? You too gay and old and can’t get your hr over 60 bpm????
Connor isnt even the B team, C team mate
British classic charity ❤
Ha ha ha, oli had the wrong size rotors!!
If its not on Strava did it even happen?!
And while watching... I'm convincing my mother to get on Strava, with her new cruiser bike that she got today! She has to record the rides so I can cheer her from across the continent :D
Awesome race, the team should have done the race on Vintage steel road bikes.🤔💯👍🏻✌🏻
Great team effort! Big fan of B team. When will you do the Texas MS150?
Best part of the video is Hank's hair!
Awesome! I did this ride too (and also did a video on it!) but much different time in 6 hours 😂😂
I see you all took lessons from G and wore the gilets (I’m 10s in and assume you remember to doff them lol)
feel like a "goose" pushing my "ducklings"????

“Wallys” from Hank at start line. How many takes to get the polite edit 🤣🤣

Me: have they not seen Ditchling Beacon?
