you are right on the many ways to use the bike but you are wrong to say it cant be used for long easy whole body exercies.. i had a nordic track ski machine the last 2 years i was in the army up to that point it was the most amazing piece of equipment i have a schwinn ad pro now and it can wiipe you out in a few minutes HOWEVER you can use the bike for long less intense exercise i used to watch the superbowl on my nordic track but at an easy pace and you can do the same with the air bike . you are right they can do soo much more but you can do long less intense on the bike

Good review. I use it as much for LISS for 30-40 mins, as I have for HIIT. I also use it as a warmup machine. Great for that. I consider the wind guard essential. I use the phone holder every time I'm on the bike. I definitely prefer turf wheels to those tiny wheels.
Just came across this video and have ordered an echo. Have had a concept2 rower for years and barely used it. Use my treadmill for incline walking and steady state cardio but don’t like sprinting on it. This machine seems perfect for warming up before weight training and for short HIIT workouts

@@NoFate247 I've had mine for about 8 months now. You can do steady state on it, it just sucks. There's an Echo Bike group on facebook and some of those dudes are putting in an hour and getting 10 miles out of one session. I need to suck it up and get on it more than warmups and HIIT.

i agree these machines are awesome.. i got my schwinn airdyne ad 7 monday i think the roigue echo and schwinn airdyne ad 7 are made at the same factory they use the exact same technology of belt drive and the exact same seat so may exact simmilarities and they are amazing..

agreed ... have one and have been using for several months now; I sold my Bowflex M7 and got this; happy with the swap - this machine is a brutal and efficient cardio workout - use mainly for HIIT (25 secs on; 80 secs off - repeat 8x = 14 mins); now I could push higher watts after several months of use. designed and 3d printed my own phone/mini tablet mount which could securely hold the device in either portrait or landscape orientation; water bottle holder - scavenged one from my mountain bike ...
THe longer I own it the more I like it. Def. enjoy the HIIT style, seems to keep me from getting lazy. Wish you lived closer, I wouldn't have bought the phone holder would have had you make me one :)

@@NoFate247 so, I have never tried others but Schwinn build quality is top quality , and I hear rogue is a bit better , but really splitting hairs. I think rogue looks nicer , but one thing that makes schwinn better is multiple hand positions it’s really helpful

I've seen a previous video that indicated a shaker cup doesn't fit in the Cup Holder but on your bike, it looks to fit perfectly fine. Any issues with the Cup Holder accessory not fitting shaker cups well?

I am a 54 year old man. I am fairly overweight but not yet obese. I have gym equipment including a concept 2 rower which I only got very recently. I am quite unfit. Do you think an echo bike would be way too demanding for me? It seems to be a beautiful piece of equipment but a bit of a killer...possibly literally a killer for me by giving me a heart attack!
I'd say if you like doing short high intensity cardio, you'll probably like it. I consider it more of a cardio fitness tool rather than a weight loss tool. Short intense workouts is where it shines. If you're into 30-60 minute moderate intensity workouts, I think you may be better off with something else.

Are the pedals fixed gear similar to a spin bike. Can you coast on it. I know u can hurt your legs if they get in the way of a spin bike pedal. Does this have the same problem or do the pedals stop the moment you stop pedaling? Thanks
I havent bought or tried one of these..... Been wondering how they are because none of my gyms ever had one. But i have heard so many things about the constant maint on them and the upkeep of the chain etc... what is your feed back on the chain that needs tightening and the routine maint on this bike? thank you!
had it for bout 6-8 months, great design but dont agree with the extra charges for attachments that should come with the bike standard, and rogues customer service was a joke when i got it delivered. Really got the run around.
Are the handlebars adjustable? You should at least be able to change the angle of motion and ideally you should be able to twist your wrist like a Boxer or MMA throwing a punch.
They need to invent a piece of equipment that outwits the body's ability to adapt. After 2 weeks, every machine I've ever tried is little better than a Hamster Wheel.@@NoFate247

I wouldn't recommend this unless your primary purpose is HITT. You can do steady state but its not ideal. A bike with adjustable tension and better ergonomics would make more sense imo. Also, make sure you're tall enough for it. I think 5'2" may be close to the minimum tho it would depend on arm length.

It's a shame that people assert this "hardcore" mentality with these bikes, saying you can't do low-intensity stead-state cardio, or have fun on it. I do both of those things. The problem is Crossfit has convinced people if you're not doing HIIT you're wasting your time. That's wrong. Just lower the intensity and it's a great FUN machine. FUN!!

No you could go at your own pace, they aren't fun but they kill fat

Used it every day since I had it and haven't done a thing to it. Almost 7 months now. Works great and I love it
There is no chain on the Echo and no required maintenance that I know of.

@@NoFate247 I run. Mainly treadmill for warm up and cool down. My gym is 1 hour reservation window once every day, so not much time... Going to start adding a cardio day for the cut. 👍
