Coincidentally, right before discovering this video I found a highly recommended program for learning classical Latin that is PERFECT for anyone out there looking to learn the language who thrives on intuition. The book is a story written completely in Latin with no English words whatsoever-it relies on intuition, pattern recognition, and cognitive engagement to teach words and grammar rather than spelling out the grammatical rules and translating single words. The whole book is one long sequence of “a-ha!” moments over and over instead of just being told “memorize (x).” You feel like you’re really solving a puzzle when something clicks and it’s great for people who need those a-ha moments to keep their cognitive energy up. The book is called LINGUA LATINA PER SE ILLUSTRATA for anyone interested.
