Circuit board has gone in mine, Is it possible to replace it and reprogramme it by holding button down whilst turning ignition? I've seen some circuit boards for sale online but not sure if will work? Ta

Hi mate. I've just bought another berlingo and that just came with the spare key. I bought a replacement remote off eBay and the transponder is soldered into the board not separate like the originals. I tried to programme the remote part of the key and it wouldn't do it. So it's off to a key guy in the morning to programme the transponder to the immobiliser, cut the key and also programme the fob to the central locking. I'll let you know how I get on. 😎

I don’t get how the immobiliser chip does anything. It just looks like a bit of plastic and I think there needs to be a terminal so it can receive current and work when the key goes in doesn’t it? If not how does it work?
