Sarah’s Creek has been my family’s go-to camping area for years. When I used to have Mondays and Tuesdays as my off days, we would often be up there completely alone. We always like the fact that we were just outside of cell service.
Been hiking, riding on or driving Earl’s Ford and Rabun County for 45 years now. It’s really gained in popularity (especially during and after Covid) and the area has absolutely suffered for it. It’s still supremely beautiful up there even though some people are pretty thoughtless about their trash and treading lightly. I worry that soon they’ll just close Earl’s Ford down as a vehicle crossing at Warwoman Creek. Glad you got to see it. Great video!
Our stomping grounds ❤ glad to run into you guys! The end of earls ford up to last year had some nice camping spots until some people wrecked it for everyone by driving in the river and trashing the place. South Carolina boarders the other side. That walking trail is a popular horse trail! I’ve crossed the ford before when you could not see the rocks 😂 definitely watch the current! Probably the best water crossing in north Georgia. My favorite camp site in all of ga is the top of Sara’s creek on the right. On the creek and you need 4wd to get to! Sarah’s Creek and Earls Ford change in difficulty yearly that hill climb after the second water crossing on Sarah’s Creek used to be the technical spot! Walking creek trail is a less known high clearance, 4 x 4 Trail up there too.
Great video. I live just over the NC border in Franklin. These trails are a couple of our regular rides. We just duplicated your stock friendly route around the Daniel Boone last weekend. We stayed at Callies because of your video. I signed up for your patreon while there. Thanks for your awesome content.
We love that area and both trails. We were there about a month ago and had a great time. Wish we could have been with you guys! Sorry the coin got stolen from my package. I’ll get another one in the mail soon. We leave for a 8 day Rhine River cruise Wednesday!
I went to the end and then shot left up that insane hill! It was super sketchy but I made it on 40’s & a 6 1/2 inch lift on my Gladiator. Do not do this unless you are built like me. There was a massive tree down at the top where an open hunting field is so I had to back all the way down. I noticed a hunter with an orange toboggan on on the other side of the hunting field, so I decided not to use my chainsaw to cut that log. Such an amazing area with so many trails to get lost in.
Hey bill and Deb, great video as usual. Just a question, when you go on short runs like that, do you air down? We are new to the airing down thing. We are making a couple trips up to that area later this year and want to make sure we have our ducks in a row. Also, thanks for all that you do for our enjoyment. Have a great day. Steve
Steve, if we were going to do just those 2 trails, we probably wouldn’t have aired down. However, we had already been offroad the day prior and was planning to be the next day so we were aired down. That being said said we had only aired down to 20-25 pounds so if we did get back on the road, we could safely and reliably. Hope this helps
I was up in poor valley by taxwell in early may feedung apoalacjiam trail thru hikers off of route 625 called poor valley road. Thst trailhead was locates sourh if chestnur ridge. Qhile cooking uo hitdogs ans tslking with a hiker we both heard a tree come crashing down clise by our location. Coyld not see where the tree fell due to tree csnopy being bloomed out. It was a freskt exoerience as it was a hood 7 kile drive out of poor valley to make it back over the mountain onto state route 42 qesl blue grass trail road. .dud nit dmell any foul odors. It was just a frightening experience. That area would be perfect habitat for huge cryptid creatures to live as there are plenty of fresh mountain streams and wild gamw they vould survive off of. Plus that area is isolated mountain ridges and valleys that are sparsely populated. The appalacjian yrail goes through poor valley and tthe trail hoes along thst cgestnut ridge allbrgw was east into bland,va. I am shocked that hikers do not have encounters with dogmen or bigfoots in that area.
The continuous high impact camping shown in this video is exactly whats destroying the area. Get out of your Jeep and put a backpack on and discover the real Chattooga Corridor. The natural history of the Brevard Fault and the history of the Cherokee Indians can't be found behind the wheel of a Jeep. Very sad to see the destruction of such a beautiful area.

That's a great area.
Awesome video as always Bill and Deb. This is going to be an epic adventure for y’all’s Patreon crew.
Thank you!
Those dispersed camp sites on the trail section of Sarah’s creek were pretty nice. Nothing beats streamside camping.
Agree, thanks for watching
Looks like great fun was had by everyone. Thanks for letting us ride along until we can get there ourselves.
Thanks for coming along

That's sad. Wish people could do better.

Warwoman is a great place to go to get off pavement but not worry about breaking your vehicle. Love it there.
Yes!
Beautiful ride (& rides). Thanks for the video. Colin's Mom. 💞
Thank you!
Love the water crossings. We don’t have much like that in Michigan. I always enjoy your videos.
We love the water crossing. Thanks for following along.

Thanks for becoming a patreon. Callies is our favorite campground.
Those were great trails. And your viewers get to see how hard the camera women have to work. 😂😂😂😂
That's right!😂

We stopped at the end of the Forest service rd based on the MVUM map.
Ha… i’ve been down that road from one end to the other in a Toyota Corolla. I should add, I was drunker than Cooter Brown.
😂😂 You would have to be.
Enjoy all your videos, especially those of North Carolina trails. Just wondering if you’re still using the Apex Autolynx sway bar disconnects? Thanks!
We are currently using something new, but we will probably be going back to Apex Autolynx.
Looks like a great ride! As always another great upload!
And also what did that leaf do to you Aspen? I saw that!
Thanks, Aspen pulls everything into the truck.
Man y’all missed some fun if you would have kept going up Sarahs creek. There’s a nice hill climb that’s rutted out pretty bad.
We seen that the trail continues but we stopped where the MVUM showed it stopping

Great video. It was great to see you out on Sarah’s Creek with your patreon group. We enjoyed our ride on Sarah’s Creek and Earl’s Ford Rd as well.
It was great seeing y'all as well.
