Absolutely loving this practice round. The problem solving and analysis makes me feel like I’m there with you fellas, throwing shots I can only dream of. 🙌
Yea seems like you need the exact right stability. Something that's going to turn, flatten out and keep pushing but not fade. Lot to ask at such a long distance. When you throw those shots perfectly that's the best feeling in disc golf in my opinion. Insanely hard though.
To answer the circle question, 806.01A is where the circle is define and it states "Any throw made from within 10 meters of the target, as measured from the rear of the marker disc to the base of the target, is a putt". It doesn't specify any directional constraints along which to measure the distance (e.g. "perpendicular to the target pole", "on the playing surface"), so it can assumed to be a straight line between the bottom of the pole and the back of the marker, meaning the circle is a sphere of radius 10m centered at the base of the pole.
Not every par 3 should be able to be put to 5ft REGULARLY in a major championship in my opinion (speaking of hole 9). PAR IS GOOD! -14 every round doesn't HAVE to be the norm
You can play hole 9 with mid or fairway and it can be understable or overstable. You just need throw perferct angle and keep that anhyzer going all the way to the end.
that hole 2 should be played with understability so that the hyzer straightens out at the tip and stalls to the left. imo the overstability doesnt carry it to the left enough and spikes it too soon
Regarding how C1 I measured: it's measured as a sphere. While "806.01 Putting Area" doesn't really have an intuitive definition, this is how PDGA rules committee explains it when asked: "We consider this to be measured as a sphere with radius of 10m centered at the base of the basket. Terrain does not matter - the 10m measurement cuts a straight line through any obstacles between the lie and the target"
Hey soooo I'm fairly certain you both are off on the rule on lost discs. It clearly states in the rules if the group last saw a disc heading towards casual or ob water the group assumes the disc landed in it, and play resumes as if the disc were in the body of water. No penalty, no rethrow. Great content and thanks for showing us this new awesome track!
Great to see the course needs long flex shots and all kinds of variety. This is gonna be touchy. And enjoy the "Finnish air force". :D Maybe visit pharmacy, there's over the counter allergy medicine you can take preventively and for the bites too. Just ensure it won't affect you otherwise.
There is also antihistamin stick you can buy from pharmacies. It is the best stuff for itchy mosquito bites. Allergy medicine works too but it will affect you in other ways as well, like possible tiredness etc.
You can find tons of different mosquito repellents in the stores - they usually have strong scent, citrusy etc. to keep the bloodsuckers away. Try the brand ”Off”.
You are probably trying to just putt to the basket rather than through the basket. Try to aim about 10 feet past the basket and have the basket almost get in your way of the putt. You will have longer comeback putts but when you start making them from further than the comeback putts won’t be as nerve racking
@28:40 Pretty sure Goose is wrong here, right? I seem to remember one tournament where Caterina Allen (I think?) had thrown OB, they couldn’t find her disc, so the card just decided where it had went out and she played from there. This was presented as being the correct way to play according to the rules. I’ve always disagreed. I think what Goose is saying is how it SHOULD be. Just to clarify.
That only applies if your card mates agree that the disc went o.b. regardless if the disc can be found, you take the o.b. stroke and play from that point. But since that water is NOT o.b. in this scenario you must find the disc or throw from the previous lie.
@@FormerAmericanIdol ahhh, okay thank you. Very very similar-seeming situations for me. But obviously different, after hearing your explanation. Thank you 🙏🏽
I think Aaron’s point is that it’s not ob so you can’t say it went ob. It’s a lost disc and that would be back to the tee box. Your card mates can’t agree to it going ob if there is no ob.
Is there anyone who has a louder snap than goose when he throws a backhand shot? Literally sounds like a face slap competition :D
I'm pretty sure the big reason he gets snap louder than most is because he uses two fingers
@@chrisbondi5887Can confirm. Am a local with the Goose and play with him all the time.
Silas Schultz maybe? We've gotta have a "snap" competition between them!
Drew Gibson gets some good snap too
OH SNAP !!!! NO YOU DIDN'T !! .….just start talking about SNAP and even got snippy about it, you snippy snap talking scallywag.
Goose and EZ is the new dynamic duo!!! Good stuff fellas!!!
100% better than Brodie
Absolutely loving this practice round. The problem solving and analysis makes me feel like I’m there with you fellas, throwing shots I can only dream of. 🙌
Hole nine is doable. You gotta ask the Finnish pros for the line. It is a tough one for sure.

My home course!!!🥳🥳
Looks tough as hell.
@@buffetline2605 the normal layout has a few easy holes too :) but yeah many of these are still there.
*A course like this would makf me buy 20 new discs, because bad shots is never the fault of my skill level - it's just poor discs.*
There is discshop near first tee 😅@@lintottish
Mine too 👌🏻
Very informative to watch real pros attack this course. For My skill level this course is a real tester.
You and goose are the practice round I look for thank you for doin it religiously
You can see a disc high up in a tree @ 12:16.

It's the same as OB, all positions are a vertical plane extending up and down to infinity.
This should basically make the circle smaller to raised baskets, am I right?
@@ghostrunner6815 no. It's 10m horizontally.

I've played this one, the woods holes in the middle are brutal lol
didn't expect to see your name here lol small world
Great to have you in Finland! I'm rooting for both of you!
I like how you are reviewing the coarse. And I can see the discs flying. 👍
“Even from a tree it’s still action” get me on the course with this fella that’s hilarious
Beggers can't be choosers 😂

Good Luck to U two
You guys rock.
God this course looks sick!
I dont have a forehand, so i learned how to throw lefty as well. It wasnt to hard to pick up.
0:20 KJ nybo sighting in the back right

Gossage channel for B9, have to wait another week for that one :P
Is that Chris Clemmons??? @24:22
Goooooose!!!! 💪🏻
Don't worry about smoke on the campfire thing. Because in Finland we have very different saying about it. And it's not so good. 😁
Does Ezra have a Mullet now!!!! I couldn’t be any prouder

Dang crazy hard
Hole 8 needs Cal. Hope you’re having fun in Europe Goose!
Since Waco is Brazos East...it really should be call The Breast...just saying.
We need more Goose
It would be nice to see the PDGA clarify if the 'circle' is a cylinder or a sphere.
100%
Welcome to my home course guys!
Monsterrrr
Ezra sounds likethe Arnold Schwarzenegger of disc golf. "THROW IT ON HY-ZUH!"

Or. have long sleeves on..
Good luck again to both at this major. W?
*My long putts always come out in severe hyzer, despite trying to release it straight or even slightly anhyzer.*
Any tips?
story of my life too lol
What do consider long? 30ft or 50ft or more? I have a friend who hyzers all his putts (even from 15ft) and he's just trying to make it work for him.

Why do you guys not carry a disc retriever ?
I have like a 5 foot long one
Buy mosquito repellent please. It's sold everywhere and it works. Free or OFF brands are good...
Hole 1 flex line out left, turn over the last bush and fade back in middle.
6:14 I have to do what to the tree?
It was literally begging for it
Are you going to beat Uli this week Ezra?
great video. Gotta figure out the breathing though lol someone's mic is a little HOT
kroakhold Was a “perfect” disc golf course (.) now I’m spoiled … this monster kinda not-so-great
If you've ever wondered if your should start with Disc Golf, just watch this video!
first hole i see The Goose rubbing his elbow the same way i do after a FH. hope he is good!
Always has to warm it up a bit
@@EzraAderholdDG glad to hear! my elbow pain has been a real bummer. trying to get the timing right
