Many shows suffer from this "power creep" too. "That's the same kind of power as Star Platinum" or the "Super Saiyan Bargain Sale" and "bubbles on your back" come to mind here. Naruto may do this worse than many others, but it's not alone in this.

Which only relies on fighting scenes like JJK LMFAO. The Edo tensei had great purpose for the war and for the story Line. Thanks to it we got proper backgrounds to each character with developpement and a deep story telling which connects everyone from back then to current characters
