Pranab was born on December 11, 1935 in Mirathi village near Kirnahar town in Bengal. Father was a freedom fighter and AICC. Kamada Kinkar Mukherjee who was also a member. Mother Rajalakshmi. Graduated from Calcutta University with degrees in History, Politics and Law. His first job was in the Postal and Telegraph Department. In 1963, he joined Vidyanagar College as a teacher. He also worked as a journalist in a newspaper before stepping into politics.👍👍👍
