Great choice, great game, ignore Czech trolls claiming how the original was better or whatever fantasy, DE is a superb remake much better than the original in literally everything. Also, be careful about radio music and music in general, one can never be sure about YT copyright strikes... I think some people had problems with Mafia games (not to mention GTA)

Mafia franchise is great, I would say even Mafia 3 nowadays, which at first received deserved bashing due to the poor state it came out in, and also for being more open world and less focused, more GTA style. Mafia 1 and 2 are masterpieces though, and this remake was faithfully done as well.

If a person plays the original version of Mafia 1 from 2002 and then this new version, they will understand what I am talking about. Especially in the new version, they are destroyed I don't like the dialogues, the characters, the cars don't behave like cars, etc. This modern version is only made to make money.😔
All wrong. DE is much, much beeeeeeeeetter, vastly improved in literally everything, story and characters are far more logical, every scene is infinitely improved. This game has no soul? Ha! Yes, the original Mafia has its charms and some story stuff is better handled in it, but to say DE ruined it is bullshit. That it has different faces? Well how could they not, since this time they're modeled after live actors! Different voices? Some of the original dubbers (Czech) are long dead, it's been twenty years! Not to mention that the voice must fit the face. Different city names? Lost Heaven is no longer called Lost Heaven? Don't tell! Nothing like making up fairy tales. Three neighborhoods have changed their names - New Ark to North Park, Hoboken to Holbrook and Oak Hill to Beech Hill. How does that affect the gaming experience? None. Your assertion that everyone who played the original Mafia and now DE sees it exactly the same way you do (nonsensically) is just wishful thinking on the part of the father of thought. All this whining of yours is typical old man yelling at the clouds for moving... And that ass-kissing by Daniel Vavra is about the most self-deprecating act I've seen in a long time. Daniel Vávra has a certain gift for writing stories, yes. But with that, it stands and falls. In real life, he's a self-absorbed ignoramus who thinks he's eaten Solomon's shit and understands everything. His penchant for conspiracy theories and constant white male whining about the evolution of human society is an extremely sad legacy of letting your ego shine through as a result of your acquired fame.

This game is much better for modern audience. The thing people enjoy most about OG Mafia is the nostalgia
