I can relate to this big time I did the criminal mastermind original challenge with the OG heists without dying and my first attempt was on the final part of Pacific Standard. Literally parachuting off the bridge to get to the boat 30 seconds from the finish. Someone didn’t open their parachute. Livid
Absolutely insane I’d be fighting
I'd pull my trousers down and slap ma willy side to side on my thighs out of stress
I also died one time because of the parachute part. Something got wrong when I jumped out of the vehicle and I was able to open my parachute BUT my character landed on the top of a big rock and there was no way to jump from it without dying (and of course the parachute works only once).

@@OiiLuke tip:if you die during setups and finales quickly(you and your teammates) close the application so it wont get reset. However it dosent work when your personal vehicle explodes while you were inside of it
I feel that pain. I remember I did the 2-player one, got to the last mission like you guys did and then enemies spawned out of nowhere and killed me. I got so pissed, I didn't even bother playing the Doomsday Heist for a whole year and now, I want to try and do it again since it's the only trophy I have left to get for GTA on PS4.

@@OiiLuke The best thing to do is do it enough times with a full team and then try it with two. I feel like trying it without any practice at all is already tough enough as it is.
You do realize you could've just quit the game immediately so that it wouldn't save the death right?

@@brandonivo7137 You have to be very quick with it, the timing has to be pretty fast, otherwise it will save but yeah doing that challenge is quite a pain
3:52 a tip for anyone doing this trophy: if you die immediately close application, this prevents the game from reseting your progress. keep in mind every teammate has to do this or they will lose their progress aswell. good luck

i've done the old heits criminal master mind a few times with many friends and it's pretty consistent, but the doomsday heist is rng, at any point any npc can do a "death burst"and i'll be insta killed... sucks that this "feature" never was fixed

This reminds me one day, I selected "random mission" on my phone (because I wanted to do a... random mission) and I joined the finale of the Doomsday Heist Act III. And the funny thing is that we actually made it (with only 2 or 3 retries). I guess the other ones who were playing this knew each other and I was the "random guy" ^^

I done this ages ago and it was so annoying because it would bug out some times and the award wouldn’t progress after completing a mission so we had to restart it all. Best to get the wind farm facility as it’s kinda close to all the missions and all the final heist. I thought the elite challenge achievement was a lot harder to complete than this one because you have to rush the heist and rushing it kills you a lot.

If someone dies, all the players can close their game as quickly as possible. It can prevent your progress from being reset

@@bobdebouwer1573 ive heard multiple people say that but i have done the criminal mastermind 6 times now, with multiple personal vehicles blowing up and i have never gotten anyones progress reset.
@@joeywtf7040 thats strange because when your own personal vehicle gets destroyed, the game updates for you so it updates the criminal mastermind progress which should be reset at that point. But nice bro 6 times is very impressive
@@bobdebouwer1573 yeah its pretty strange, when i load back in, my vehicle is still destroyed and i have to call mors mutual but my criminal mastermind always stays intact
Almost did the 2 player one on my 1st ever playthrough of it, only to die to the juggernaut on the first part of the final mission, he shot me through a solid object with a clapped hitbox while in cover. It was the only death in the whole run, even the hard part went cleanly, it still haunts me lol

the hardest part about this challenge is how it randomly resets for no goddamn reason

This is the reason why they put this achievement in place because stupidity can randomly occur anytime

It’s a bit late but someone should have told him that if you all close your apps as soon as someone dies it won’t count and you can carry on without going back to the start

I'm currently doing this on playstation 5, I finished with 3 players and have 19/29 from 2 players.. its pretty pretty hard to find players wanting doing this trophy :(
When my crew was doing the Khanjali setup one of them got shot so we closed the app and only two of use had our progress saved sadly. We still finished the challenge but those 2 lost their progress 😢.

I got the 2 player done just need to do the 3 and 4 player and then I gut the 100% of the trophy

Criminal Mastermind is pretty much a platinum trophy by itself
for non-playstation folk: platinum trophies are achievements you earn for collecting every achievement in a game

I have yet to complete the 3 player and 4 player CM because I still can't find 2 people that can endure hours or trial and error, but playing it with a friend is already hard on its own. We looked up multiple guides and had to do dry runs with hacking and trying multiple vehicles to make sure we got the best time heading into the first checkpoint of each finale.

We did the original heist mastermind too where you get 10 mill. If you want proof and u got Xbox I can show u the SS. The hardest part of all the challenges was getting all my mates online at once 😂

i did the original cmm challenge with a friend like 5-10 times.
we were pretty good at this so we figured we could help people while taking in exchange the big cuts. the other 2 would get the 10mil obviously.
during the challenges we met a decent amount of good people.
I think that this is very hard but I think becoming vinewoods biggest star (gta platinum) is more time consuming.

No one I’ve seen doing the first prep for first act of doomsday heist, has done it properly. You can literally exit your bunker and call 911 for an ambulance and it’ll come and you don’t have to waist time

I’m rank 560, played on and off for 9 years and I have everything in the game, and with 150 million in the bank from just grinding the game, done OG criminal mastermind and all elite challenges for all the heists in the game, even completed all story mode trophies and stuck at 98%, I’m just missing The Doomsday Heist Criminal Mastermind. I’ve attempted it in the past but it randomly resets my challenge for no reason and nobody died either. Nobody is daring enough to try this. It’s not hard at all, and I enjoy doomsday but finding people to do it is just as hard. This is the only thing I have left to do and after getting this mastermind done, I can peacefully retire from GTA 5, and just wait for GTA 6.

On PS4 you can close the game if a player dies, preventing your progress from being reset, but I don't know if that works on Xbox too. I got this achievement a few years ago, subbed to see you get it too!

I've done criminal mastermind 2, but I can't do 3 or 4 (or 1 on the original heists) because I've only got 1 good friend that still plays GTA and is actually good at the game.😢 I need more friends...

I have the same problem but im looking for good players skilled but anyways. Do i need to do all 3 acts with 2 players then 3 players and last one 4 players and does it need to complete each mission with elite completion for example (Doomsday Scenario) 150 Headshots if i make like 120 Headshots is it count if you fail Elite Void completion or its more important not to restart or someone from team to be killed need explanation of this experts reply
I just ended the doomsday heist in 2 with the loyalty challange, btw i carriera my friend (he played for like 1 month) [i hot the platiinum {first place} in every mission ] 🗿
The reason I think nobody has it it because it’s not fun to do. I’ve completed a lot of games and have a few platinums but out of all the games I have played the grand theft auto series is my favourite and I have platinum all of them except gta 5 on ps5. The only 2 trophies I don’t have are the ones for the doomsday heist (the elite and mastermind challenge ones) and I will probably never get them because 1) I don’t have a crew to do this with and 2) it is the most boring and repetitive shit trophy I think I’ve ever seen and believe me I platinum gta 4 and had to grind my ass off to get those 2 cursed online trophies for winning every game mode and beating those co op missions in The time frame and not to mention those damn pigeons. Gta 4 will always be my most prized platinum because of how long it took me to beat but I had fun doing it, the same can’t be said for the doomsday heist which I got bored of after the first heist
Here's something you didn't know, you can call 911 to call an ambulance, and it will come to you, so you can stand outside your facility, wait for the ambulance and finish the prep in 1 minute
And you can eat snacks and put on armor when your weapon wheel is open

I was halfway through this challenge back in like 2018 when during one of the setup preps rockstar just banned me and wiped my character for supposedly cheating, legit never played with cheats in my life so i just uninstalled the game and now refuse to play any rockstar game lmao
Using any explosives in the rocket silo is straight up suicide, let alone using grenade launchers, whose grenades always bounce back to you in closed areas 💀💀💀
It was easy to get it done on PS4. Now that I'm starting again on PC, seems like nobody is willing to put on the work.
