Thanks for this video. I was curious if you could say the timeline for when you got the credit. Did you have to do anything to get it? I did the surveys before getting the truck and Tesla also told me that I'd get the credit. May 11th (16 days ago) we picked up our truck. I was curious if you said it took a month or if you got it right away just to know if I should start following up on it. I do have a current gen HWC so I don't need it for PowerShare, but we have 2 Teslas so I was thinking it would. cover the cost of getting another HWC to make charging nicer here. Also ... when you got the credit was it just an email? I like your channel so far. Helpful stuff.
Hey, thanks! We picked up our CT on 2/10 and received the email with the credit code in it on 3/11 so just over a month later. Yes, the credit comes via email and it's just an alphanumeric code you type in during the online order process that applies the credit. It also removes any shipping charges so keep that in mind (you can spend a little more that way). The good news is I heard they recently changed the credit to $2500 so hopefully you get that. Am curious to hear so please post back here when you get your credit. Thanks again!
Does the drier have a NEMA 14-50 plug? That is rated for 50A maximum at 240V, however for continuous operation, do NOT exceed 80% of 50Amps, i.e. 40 Amps, so you are limited to 40x240 = 9.6KW. Anyway, you should be able to set the current limit in the Tesla.
JFC, 6 PowerWalls?!! Do you have like 8 swimming pools? lol. With PowerShare on the CT, you just added (when fully charged) like 9 more PowerWalls. I am pretty sure you'll survive the zombie apocalypse.
@@amerb313 Having the HWC + Tesla Gateway that he has for PowerWalls is enough for PowerShare with a CT. Just waiting on a software update to get PowerShare.. at least I am as far as I can tell :)
@@amerb313 the $200 was to install the Wall Connector. Powershare itself is just a software update coming from Tesla, hopefully in June. No charge for that.

got to be careful with using the dryer outlet for ev charging
ive seen them melt because of overheating
Good to know! Yet another reason I'm glad we got a Wall Connector 👍

😂 Only 4 Powerwalls but we do have 3 AC units and quite a bit of power outages in our area so we wanted a healthy backup.
How much did they charge you to install
A local electrician did it for $200.
@@CybertruckFamily The power share ?
