- Dunfermline Athletic lost at home to bottom of the Championship Queen of the South meaning they'll have to compete in the relegation play-offs to remain in their division next season.
This was my first game at East End Park and despite the Pars' poor form, the home fans still turned up in their numbers and generated a good atmosphere.

Let's hope so. Surely no one wants Airdrie United to come up. They called themselves the old name before liquidation, so how did they manage to lose the Airdrie United and get the Airdrieonians back?

Pars fans take it seriously. As a Well fan I went there years ago, met up with a uni mate for beers then went in our separate ends. Well won 2-1 amidst controversy. We went back to his mum's house for dinner and he went up to his room, never came back down, at all. We had dinner with his mum and sister and went on to have a hooly of a night in Edinburgh, with me losing my Well scarf out the train window on the way back. MEMORIES ! Pars are a premier club with a premier ground. Hope they stay up !
And they hosted one SFA Cup Semi-Final in a certain year - - - - 1991 🤓

Sad to see the Pars in this position. As a boy I was in their record crowd in 1968 against Celtic. The Pars paraded the Scottish Cup which they'd won on the previous Saturday and Celtic had just become champions. Total mayhem in a dangerously overcrowded ground , there were dozens of people on the roof of the terracing and hanging halfway up the floodlights. A barrier broke sending fans spilling on to the pitch. Dunfermline went on the next season to reach the semi final of the Cup winners Cup, knocking out West Brom on the way. It's been a long way down since then sadly
As. Dundee supporter I remember many fine games between my team and Dunfermline.
Sad to see how far we have both fallen away.

I was there as well, it was seriously overcrowded, but what an atmosphere. Best was Valencia a classic.
From a killie fan the pars are a massive club probz should be in spl in all honestly plus Queens never a league 1 team hope Queens get bk up next year 😊

Dunfermline really do have a Premier League set up. Hopefully they can get things together on the pitch at some point to get back up to the top division.
I rushed back from a trip to London for this game. Wish I'd just taken another couple of days in London now. But, I've already bought my play off ticket. My first game was in 1967 and I'll always follow them.

yeah, the spl had these crazy rules in the late 90s-early 00s when stadiums had to be 10k minimum all seaters and only a handful of clubs can only fill them so thats why dunfermline have such a big stadium
On our day we will fill East End Park just at the moment the locals are so disalusioned they have lost interest

Sad to see Dunfermline in their present state, they were once a fine Scottish club with a proud record in football, having twice knocked English clubs out of Europe.
There’s nothing between 6/7 teams in that league. First goal, dodgy decision, it’s all that separates them.

Hey Raith have done no bad a 5th place finish in a difficult league is alright. Dunfermline’s issue is that the hired a manager that had just relegated a team from the championship the season before really showed no ambition which is really sad to be honest. I can remember sitting in East End Park on 29th Feb 2020 watching dunfermline beat Dundee united that was an amazing day especially as my nephew was mascot that day

Queen of the South!!!! I traced my grandfather's lineage back to like the 1700's and my family came from Dumfries area, which I believe is close to where Queen of the South are? My great great great great....grandfather was scottish and fought the british in the Battle of Dumfries and when they lost he became an endentured servant and shipped to the colonies to work in an iron foundry in Massachusetts Colony.....earned his freedom and here I am :)
The shore reminds me a bit of Western Wales - Aberystwyth and its surroundings - without the sea and the waves, but I do understand the people even less. The Welsh speak proper English compared to the Scots. :D Stadiums in Scotland seem to be beautiful, what a shame that Aberdeen will leave Pittodrie soon.
A Dunfermline fan I would love them to stay up but if we stay up there needs to be a clear out of players a lot of the players have not been putting there heart into the team

Raith retained the league Cup this season and finished just outside the playoffs. It's been a decent season. You can't say they have had a poor season Sam.

Dunfermline Athletic are one of my favourite respective Scottish clubs daily and ever in this world and other planets and they are one of the respective small clubs to have won 5 titles(2 Scottish Cups and 3 Scottish League Cups)!!!However,I am extremely so sad to see them about to be playing in the playoff round up against the fourth place Scottish League 1 team Queens Park but hoping for them to win and stay in the league,good friends!!!🙏
Dunfermline won the Scottish cup in 1960/61..and 1967/68 ....they have never won the Scottish League Cup .......
