Stark's Park remains one of my favorite Scottish football venues. Not just because of the historic corner stand, but also because of the railway line on the western side of the pitch. I like how your film not only brings across the tense game-day atmosphere from this Park, but also showcases its distinct architecture.
Raith Rovers might not be a super, big, massive club like Dunfermline Athletic but we have done alright in the derbies this season. Seriously though, outwith Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen. I think there is very little between the other full time clubs in Scotland in terms of size, fanbase, history, current placing and quality of the team. From the likes of St Johnstone and Ross County in the Premiership, down to Falkirk and Hamilton in League 1, there is not much between them. If Rovers were to go up, then I see no reason why they could not compete with teams in the bottom half of the Premiership and potentially stay up.
Stats against each other is irrelevant to determine who’s the bigger as in my opinion Dunfermline are the bigger club. They’ve won the Scottish cup twice with Raith having won the league cup once. Also Dunfermline’s stature in the game is bigger in my opinion. FYI I was born in Dunfermline but no bias as I follow St Johnstone! Been to Stark’s Park once in a Raith v St Johnstone game! Didn’t look like that back then with terracing behind one end and you could see the railway line behind what used to be terracing and open to the elements.
I've nothing against Raith Rovers, but the last thing the premier league needs is another plastic pitch. If Aberdeen, Inverness and Ross County can manage to maintain grass pitches, any club can. Artificial pitches are the worst thing to happen to Scottish football since referees.
Such a poor argument.Have you seen the state of the grass pitches in the top 2 leagues in Scotland? I'd have that plastic pitch over the vast majority of grass.
It’s been said it may be fully impossible as the way the seasons go, in winter sun is blocked out by south stand in summer sun blocked out by north stand meaning that only 1 half of the pitch would grow back
To be Fair both Clubs are fairly evenly matched so maybe they are as big as each other 🤷♂️ Or you could decide the Biggest by the following (fans) of each Club. Great Video as Always 👍
I'd agree. Both belong in the Prem I'd say! Been too long for them both and got great fanbases that would be class in the top tier. Thanks for watching!!
Dunfermline are much bigger clubs played in many leagues cup final..lost out Hib and Celtic winning trophies as two Scottish cup and played several seasons in Europe And played Semi final European in Cup
I watched this blind to the score but an ad came right before the first goal, is that timed to do that? It really spoiled the flow and made me think "is this a goal now". Kind of reminds me of when I was in Australia and they would put an ad on in AFL right after a goal.
As a neutral ( I’m a Fulham fan) I remember Dunfermline being in Europe in the late 1960s and beating West Brom over 2 legs , so I think they might be the bigger club .
I'm stunned you had to ask the question; Dunfermline are a bigger club than Raith. Only time Raith have been more successful is when Dunfermline have imploded.
Funny enough I was in a pub and then raith fans started coming down the road but they were wearing black so they thought it was pars fans so they closed the shutters and blocked the doors so we got locked in the pub for about a hour and as soon as the shutters were closed I heard it all started kicking off
@@FootyAdventuresIt's good mate, you're a legend! 😎❤ PS Pls come down to another Edinburgh Derby, ideally Gorgie, in the Hearts end Section N for some real atmosphere!
If Dunfermline at top of league the pars would of fill that stand up easy the last 4 meetings at wee team we only half fill it because we not playing wells

Derby matches are always great to see as the passion of the fans. Especially great to see so many young fans.
Big credit to Dabrowski, what a bliming save that was! Great intro aswell Sam, brilliant
😂😂😂😂 yeah she's not catching anyone 😂😂😂😂
i shouldnt have laughed but that was savage 😂
"Shes not catching anyone" 😂
Cracking keeper, really rated him at Hibs but wasn’t getting enough games. Would take him back in a heartbeat anytime in the future.
It was good to have a conversation after the game and hope to see you at more games. CMON FOOTY ADVENTURES
Oh I’m a Rovers fan alright!Great video Sam
Brilliant game! Go Rovers and greetings from the USA 🇺🇸 🏴
Every level can learn from clubs like this. The magic of football is the multigenerational appeal. No other sport comes close.
Love your Vlog Sam ,keepit up 👍

Good to see you at the new local team. We were at the Brutalist "masterpiece" at Glenrothes. Brilliant you finally managed a Raith Dunfermline game
Yeah at least this one last the entire 90! And cool news on Glenrothes. Only ever seen it from the outside. Need to go!
Can’t believe it’s been years since that first video! You’ve come a long way since 👏
Good stuff as usual, mate. Nufc

Our pitch is fine; ball bounces true, we can train on it, community can use it, it’s a win win. 0 games called off because of weather etc.

Looked like a brilliant Game big fan sam Im watching it currently and wow its mental
Cheers mate!!!
🇪🇪 Thank you for coming back 🇪🇪
Your videos are brilliant but thank you 45 seconds in for giving the biggest laugh I had this weekend 🤣

0 "Yeah! She ain't catching anyone"A Belter Sam -Everyone instantly thought the same mate. Excellent edit..❤ @footyadvetures
That pitch looks dire.
It's not real grass
It plays a lot better than it looks, it's better than any grass pitch we've had since we got the new stands in 1996
What a save Kevin dabrouski
11:15 Gianni Infantino viendo la segunda división de Escocia
It looks like the best place for seating is behind the goal at that stadium.
My local club got pretty much a yellow for every player resulting in the last card being a red. Never seen so many normal frees be given yellow cards.
the Edinburg derby is the best
Great game yesterday wooo

Pars got to Semi final European Cup in 1960s
@@lesliegriffin4866 I remember ,
The wee team from Fife don't have a major railway station
I'm stunned you had to ask the question; Dunfermline are a bigger club than Raith. Only time Raith have been more successful is when Dunfermline have imploded.
Mental that this was Rovers’ first league win by more than 1 goal
Haha yeah I heard that! Crazy if that lasts the full season!
They're overrated. Will get hammered in the top league
There's the difference between Rovers and United, take a look at their goal differences!
Funny enough I was in a pub and then raith fans started coming down the road but they were wearing black so they thought it was pars fans so they closed the shutters and blocked the doors so we got locked in the pub for about a hour and as soon as the shutters were closed I heard it all started kicking off
FA is that guy in the Roy of the Rovers comics in the crowd shouting out everything that's happening
I don't know if that's good or bad 🤣

Not a great game but always pleasing to beat the Townies.

I think the Pars are probably the bigger club.
Please go Johnstone burgh
If Dunfermline at top of league the pars would of fill that stand up easy the last 4 meetings at wee team we only half fill it because we not playing wells
Yas RRFC are the best team in Scotland
She’s not catching anyone 😂😂
Come on u Raith
shes not catching anyone
The polis...useless unless you post a mean tweet.
Of course the most successful Fife club in terms of trophies won is East Fife.
Does the best TH-camr reply
Love your derby video. Dad's a RR supporter. I'll stay in the closet.
Raith fan here. Dunfermline are the bigger club, better stadium, bigger base support, more impressive history, nicer and more prosperous town.
i think we have won more trophies in the last 30 years than the pars have
You’re not a raith fan
Raith is the bigger club
delusional
Raith rovers
Is there anyone over the age of 12 in Scotland watches football
The oldies tend to have their season tickets for the main stand in the same seats they've sat in for decades.
Super raith rvs are biggest club in fife
Anyone over age 10 in this guys videos 😂
Only people who like footy Adventures can like this comment
