The best dog that ever existed was my old Bronx De Bulldogge! He was Catahoula, Game Bred Pit Bull, Bullmastiff, Plot Hound, American Bulldog all mixed, and he was the best catch dog I ever saw. At nine months of age he caught a Brangus bull on the nose. He was bred to several cattle guys dogs in Idaho because of his prowess. His seamen was introduced secretly in several programs. I think what you are doing is perfectly fine. A bulldog is more of a function than it is a breed.
Absolutely, I feel the same way nowadays. I used to not understand why people crossed different breeds but when I started trying to accomplish things with my dogs I started to slowly see the need. Most folks won’t understand and that’s fine but I can’t keep repeating the same thing over and over again expecting different results. This is me thinking outside of my box. I think a majority of the breed may be that way,but we can’t all lump them in together. This one has a lot of self control when he’s around our animals. Hopefully he will produce that. His Sire had some farm dog titles so I’m hoping those traits will not only be passed down but also translate into real life situations.
That argument of your doing what others have already done... Well there is a reason they did it, there is a reason you are doing it. Idk i really like the sayings "Quality over Quantity", "Breed Worker to Worker", you seem to fit right in there. I think what your doing is how people get good dogs, but you are aware it can fail like people in the past were too. just funny, good luck

🤔They will still be bulldogs. This is just your production and as long as you get what you like then that’s what matters. The most well respected bulldog breeders have something other than bull dog in their lines. I wish you success in your breeding program. 👍🏽
Not tryna b one of those people but if ya got a good Stafford/staffy it don't matter the x there's always gonna b something good there gonna add! If anything comes on your property your bulldogs are gonna deal with it but if it come to your family and a threat landing your staffy in the middle that lil man is gonna lay down it's life 💯

I didn’t breed my American Bulldog only because I don’t think so could responsibly place the offspring. Like you said they’re a little hot.
