I've never played this game, because I don't like it when the game can't shoot straight normally like the recoil is shaking and facing straight up, I prefer to shoot straight and stay still!
The free aiming mechanic for hardcore shooters is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but not that hard to get used to. Spray and pray with it up close using full auto weapons is actually quite fun :)
There is a mechanic like in the last CODs, namely placing your weapon on a surface/wall/decor element to have better precision and much better recoil control! Red Orchestra aims to be a fairly realistic and demanding game, but overall it was quite good and intense!
@@icy3-1 My only gripe with this game is the excessive recoil on some of the guns. I know that they did it for balance reasons, but that's not realistic. The submachineguns and the STG-44 in particular, they all kick as if they were chambered in 8mm Mauser o 7.62mmR. They toned the recoil down to more realistic levels for RO2.
I used to prefer other games that could shoot straight and silently, not like SWAT 4 which I used to play using the M4 Rifle. I wanted to shoot straight and silently, but instead I ended up shooting facing upwards while floating, so I changed to other games to make it more exciting, such as Counter Strike, Half Life, CrossFire, Battlefield, Call of Duty, and the GTA Series.
@@Randomly_Browsing there's a PTRD rifle and pistols locking open when emptied so there's no reason to lack a last shot animations for SMGs. There is no difference in programming or animating these things, so it's merely a mistake
You know, for a 2006 game, this is pretty darn good.
It's about on par with COD 3 animations

Freaking finally, I'm waiting for a vid on this game for years lol.
Red Orchestra Series has a very satisfying gun- and gameplay.
The TT33 firing sound has lived rent free in my head for fifteen years. The firing sound against which all other firing sounds are measured.
V satisfying era of aesthetics
Detailed but not fussy
I used to play this so much back in the day, loved it. I also played with a clan (29th div.) on the darkest hour mod for a while.

2:07 the ppsh 41 is depicted as close bolt
2:10 bullets fired from up instead of the right
2:14 the mag release is close but somehow our character pulls out the 71 drum mag
