I'm light skinned and I have always had to blend two or more shades to match my skin tone because I have a combination of a tan/warm or possibly neutral overtone, a pinkish-white undertone and much darker hyperpigmentation around my chin and sides of my face. I don't think I've ever had one foundation or powder foundation that was a true match. It's frustrating because I have such a hard time ordering the right shade online. They are always either too light or too warm. I have chronic pain and limited mobility which makes going to a store to find a shade match difficult, and since the pandemic my skintone has gotten more pale so I've been trying to figure out what shades and undertones are good for me by guessing. It's also diffuclt because there aren't a lot of black influencers on TH-cam anymore that are skin twins for me to get an idea of what would be right for me. So I feel you sis!
The lighter shade looks better I think. the dark one technically does match your skintone better but I think the other shade gives your face more life and depth.
6 N 1 looks great on you. On camera it seemed to match your neck better. Both were beautiful though once you did your full face so depends on how you are most comfortable when you see it in person.
i think both look fab and are totally options depending on how you feel that day, how much sun you've been getting (or not in the case of winter) and you can't go wrong.

7n1 is too dark. I think it oxidizes on your skin. 6n1 is perfect for you and you don’t have to mix it because it dries down to your perfect skin color. You just need a juicy moisturizer with sunscreen underneath. I’m using 5c1 and I love because it’s my exact complexion. I just use moisturizer with sunscreen underneath and I don’t have any oxidation and no color changes in the sun or during the day to evening. Anyway, you’re gorgeous.
It’s too dark. But needless to say, you made it look very nice. Your shade would probably be one pump of the darker shade and a half pump of the lighter color they sent.

6n1 looked better. Please don't take offense but 7n1 especially after it oxidized was giving "black face". It was too dark even when you initially put it on. I 😬 but tried to trust the process. But maybe what you see in person and how it comes across on camera are 2 different things.
It does not look like Black Face it just look like she has a color that is too dark for her but that could absolutely work on another Black woman, that's it.

I feel like u should have mixed the two and would have given u the perfect shade..or at least go for the lighter one and later it would oxidise. The dark. Shade was just too dark I could just tell from the first swatch

This is my favorite foundation rn. I use 6n1 with NARS concealer in Amande. It wears well in this Florida heat 🥵
