I beg to disagree that only business owners would want a liteace. I'm a fresh grad and I'm genuinely considering it as a daily driver. It has everything I need: cheap, reliable, small footprint on the road, plus it's gonna be an interesting conversation for anyone who asks why I drive what is essentially a kei truck to work. I may have to reconsider the comfort aspect, but hey if people my age can tolerate civics on coilovers, pretty sure I can tolerate a utilitarian van.
if you look at it, it's not a bad deal. A jack of all trade type of vehicle is what all we need in 2023. It's not going to be the best entry level vehicle unlike sedans such as the vios and even hatchbacks like wigo. I'm also considering selling my mirage, and getting this variant as an upgrade. Knowing the specs, especially the brand, owning this variant won't be a pretty bad deal. I agree that it's a utilitarian vehicle. I'm planning to own one and upgrade the cabin into a semi-camper experience hence an offroad setup, pretty amazing for its price.
@@mecowxoxo the LiteAce is basically the Kirby of the automotive world. Can be turned into anything you want as long as you have the time and resources to do it.
Was choosing between this and the Type1 Suzuki APV. But wala si LiteAce ng backseat, windows, adjustable seats and rear a/c so I got the APV. Talo lang ako sa fuel consumption. 5-6kpl sa city driving saka dated fleet car design. Walang blue tooth yung stock stereo. Love hate din yung low gear ratio. Malakas na konsumo nya beyond 60kmh (iwas overspeeding sa Metro Manila saka asbu) pero di naman ako bitin sa akyatan. Di ko rin gusto na puti yung nakuha ko.
Ahh. Ok. Hirp pala sa akytan sabgy goods for city driving lngks sya boss. Pang metro manila and ncr lng Para sakin ok narin palitan lng Ng glass window then lgyn Ng upuan . May Nissan vannette nmn kmi na mlkas sa ahunan. Wla ngang kwenta mga aytan sa maria aurora and dngaan even at full loaded Ng skay a gamit dhil mlaks makina 2.0 ehh . Pero gust ko pa Rin itong liteace pang metro manila at ncr
I love this like not so big and not so small (for me) yung ready to go travel somewhere with ur fam. Swak sa cargo for small business owners. But i don't get it why Toyota hindi nag rerelease complete set-up like sa Suzuki DA. Hoping for brand new kei cars in the Philippines!
In Australia we don't get the Toyota Liteace but back in the 1980s l had one for courier work but l had a back seat a bench seat wich folded up l did loose a bit of cargo space but it came in handy for transporting my immediate family around it had a 1,8 litre ohv carburetored 4 cylinder engine and it was forward control and you sat over the motor and in summer in Australia it was hot and no air conditioning been the 1980s the steering was very light without power steering because the radiator was inline with the front axle my wife drove it and thought it had power steering and what's wrong with manual windows and manual transmissions my 1997 Toyota Hilux has both if these reliable items less to go wrong which makes the vehicle more reliable but my Hilux gss air conditioning and my 26 year old manual windows still work also reliability is a luxury
This van needs to be manufactured as cheap and easy as possible that's why it has simple design so they could roll these out as fast as possible. No one will buy a expensive small utility van with a sporty "2023" look that has underpowered engine.
Notes for myself: Negatives: - cooked eggs (needs better heatshield under the seat) - weird/mushy brakes - no sound deadening, noise - manual transmission only - suspension bouncy and firm - poorly padded seats - no tachometer - no power windows - fixed passenger seat
Mganda ito gusto ko TAs ung bintana gawing glass door . TAs lagyn Ng upuan . Pra ung Nissan vannette nmn may kpalitan na png long rides c vannette ito nmn pang city driving around metro manila or ncr
and this si why big brands ang losing ti chinese cars, not enough bang for the buck. big brand cars as design to profit while saying they're still selling "quality" with far less features and same safety features chinese car brands have.

Exactly
How about the fuel economy? Would it be practical to be used as a daily drive? ❤
Yeah yeah, how about gasoline? Safe lang or magastos?
Is it just me or is Anton Andres instantly making Top Gear PH a tad more sophisticated?🙌🏼
I just watched Atoy's Customs, he made this a camper van really looks awesome.
Daihatsu Granmax, low maintenance, fuel efficient.. 3ltrs of engine oil only.. gamit na gamit namin dito sa saudi yan, kargahan. Longdrive.
I like it kung ganun.
They should release a passenger van version and has Automatic Transmission for oldies
They did but it is still a manual transmission.
We have this van! Very nice around the city.
Medyo hirap lang sa akyatan.
9-10km/L city + highway.
Sulit for a small business. ❤🎉

This can be a good camper van option. More space and a realiable one
I plan to get one and modify everything! I love this small size especially for small and tight parking areas and narrow roads.
Basic as the LiteAce seems, it's still more sophisticated than the similarly priced Carry.
planning to buy one and custmize into a mobile clinic but need to check the aircon first
I wish they also bring the passenger version of this mini van😊
Up😊
Meron yan sila for utility.
Daihatsu Gran Max is the passenger version in Indonesia. Hope they release a passenger version.
Up ako Jan boss. Pero pede nmn syang gwing glass window TAs modified Ang upuan
I'm gonna buy that for looks! Always wanted a "kei" van. 😍

hope to see a camper van version of this, been dreaming to have my own camper van

nice for family too. by adding one surplus second row chair at the back. Chinoy will patronized it being more practical indeed.
That is just the accessories I want because I will install the things that I will choose. I can install a tachometer if I choose to.
Thanks , in cargo space how height is it ?
Thanks to answer me
Would it be better if there was a diesel option?
Thanks for using length for measurements for the cargo space. Not volume
And metric, not imperial
Sana gumawa sila ng passenger van.. Mas marami bibili
True. 1+ na me jn
my wish is that 4x4 or an AWD variant will be available 😊
@Top Gear Philippines Please review Suzuki S-Presso AGS. Thanx.
7:34 nailed it. The designer for this van could have done so much of a better job, yet he chose to live in the 90s era while in 2023

@@ian74747for my perspective I like it
your'e aware that this came out in the mid 2000s, right? so that explains the 90s vibe.
I like it. Modern designs suck
what about the ac?
Its a good camperVan potential.
This van is awesome!!
Idk i find this car/van kinda cute
i WOULD LIKE TO BUY 1 IT LOOKS "AWESOME" & It is TOYOTA!!!!!!!!!!
cute no?
Imagine Tamaraw FX will be positioned similar to LiteAce - 1.5 engine, all manuals, no airbags,
Notes for myself:

Do they have an automatic model of liteace mini van??
@Top Gear Philippines Please review Next Gen 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor. Thanx.

I like it as Camper Van ....
Does this model has ECU?
I need this in Australia

Atoy Customs changed my opinion on LA 😁

Puede Tagalog po ang salita sa video para sa mga Masang Pilipino
May automatic transmission po yung liteace?
Wala sa phdm
Ser.give me price po
MAS MAGANDA OLDSKUL LITE ACE
Hopefully diesel in the Future
Diesel has no future. Sa Europe at Singapore iphaphase out na nila mga diesel engines. Petrol engines maiiwan gang 2035 ata
Ganun din sa ibang bansa.
Dahil EV at Hybrid na ang future.
1:26 Cyclist be like: "Uy ganda nung van ah" 🤣🤣
I'm gonna turn this into a Camper.
Daihatsu Grandmax kalau di indonesia
Automatic sana

Maganda pang bangbus yan haha
