Hallo Matthew, dankie vir jou kommentaar. Lekker om van 'n jonger kyker te hoor! Ek is net so mal oor treine wat loop. My liefde het gekom toe ek die eerste keer nog in my laerskool dae trein gery het uit die Boland tot in die destydse Suidwes-Afrika het. Toe het stoomlokomotiewe nog treine vanaf Touwsrivier tot in huidige Namibië getrek.

They are using the Shosholoza Meyl carriages with a Transnet train, and say it is the metrorail. How odd.

Hey Piet. Thanks for the videos. I have seen that most freights to Worcester and beyond are by diesel. With Bellville having only 35's GE surely they dont have enough motive power considering the 35's are also needed on the branch lines in the area. Would you know?

Sorry Mark, I do not have an answer. You are correct about the 35's. Due to age and poor maintenance these locomotives are in short supply and cannot be depended on

Ironically, I believe they actually have people on board who force you to pay for a ticket (most days) - since many of the 'stations' on the line past Kraaifontein (en route to Malmesbury) are nothing more than a signboard
