She's pretty damn good, and she's perfect as Elsa, and I'm so happy she got this role, as she was also amazing as Rem from the Death note musical.
She was Elphaba in Korean production of Wicked, just as Idina did. Before Elphaba, Hye na was an unknown actor but now she's a musical theatre superstar.

6년전 어릴때 봤을때는 혜나님의 다잊어를 듣고 원본과 비교해서 듣다보니 이질감이 들었는데 커서 본 지금은 너무 아름다운 목소리네요. 엘사와 잘어울려요. 2편은 더 부드럽게 불러서 그런지 혜나님 목소리가 너무감동적이에요🇰🇷

5년전 영상이지만 2020년에도 본 한국인입니다̆̈ .. 박혜나님 목소리가 들을때마다̆̈ 진짜 너무 예쁜 목소리를 가지셨다는̆̈ 생각이 드네 ㅜ 엘사 캐릭터에 어울리는̆̈ 이디나̆̈ 멘젤님 목소리랑 비슷한 그런목소리 내기가 진짜 어려운데 저걸 소화 해 내신다는게 정말 .. 대단 그자체 ㅜ 저 힘든 노래도 저렇게 잘부른다는것 자체만으로도 엄청 난 분이시라고 생각함 .. 그냥 저분은 축복이 아니실까

I love Hyolyn a lot but I don't think she could have sung this version this well. You need a very far range and a clean voice for the movie version. This one is for trained musical singers, whereas the pop version allows you to play around more (which is eher Hyolyn does amazingly). I have so much respect for all the singers who did the movie version because it's just crazy

everyone commenting about K-pop idols, I just wanna comment about how distinguished and elegant their language is. As a half Korean, half Filipino, I grew up in a korean speaking household that was just learning English, and I’m trying to dig more into my roots.
No offence, she sings way better than Hyolyn. Hyolyn's breath control and belting are sounds so 'harsh'?...plus her voice is better match for a strong character like Elsa.
This is a piece that needs a trained musical voice.

I was part of localizing for Korea. The biggest argument we had was getting hyolyn to sing. The entire staff was split for the very reason you put forward. I personally hated the rasp in hyolyns voice but the higher ups wanted a recognizable face.
I personally like Hyolyn’s voice better in general, but I agree that Park Hye Na’s voice sounds more broadway and more suited to Elsa

I love this version so much. It makes me grateful for being Korean. I can still speak Korean fluently even though I'm living in America right now. I watched Frozen for the first time in theaters with the Korean dub as I was back in Korea at that time and I still remember this song! I recently came back to listen to this song and I'm listening to it on repeat now! Park Hye Na is a really good artist!!
