I'm brazilian myself but I don't know if I approve of this foreign-born players playing for other countries. You also see brazilians who play or have played for other nations in football, and it doesn't really look like they have adopted their new nationality, it's more of a convenience thing based on personal interest. I don't really know Leal's story, it might be different, there are other factors in his case, since he is cuban and Cuba is a kind of closed country, but still. There's no doubt he is a great player though. I actually miss the rivalry Brazil had with Cuba in the 90's, both in male and female volleyball.
And he needs Brazil if he wants to be champion of something... Brazil is olympic champion without him... But he is very good player to brazil, now he is brazilian by choice! Go Brazil!
Brasil was gold medalist in Rio 2016 without him. we are good with or without him but having him here it's such a good thing cause he just want to play volleyball. why don't you say this about Italia and Poland too? the problem is just Brazil?? and he's not Cuban anymore, he is Brazilian as much as any person is this country
