Congratulations Crystal on being under contract, the new buyers are so lucky they are getting a beautiful home. We had to move out before our new home was finished. We were an,e to rent month to month a finished home. Of course we had to store all of the furniture in a storage unit. I am sending prayers that you are able to find something to lesson the stress of moving. Now back to decorating for Fall and as always not disappointed the patio turned out gorgeous.

Oh my goodness congratulations on the house being under contract. That was quick and the new owners are getting a gem of a house. Love the flowers and thank you for that clever trick of putting a pot inside the bigger pot and then placing the potted plant on top. When we moved last year, the only thing we could find that was pet friendly was the teeniest, tiniest, one bedroom little bungalow while we waited for closing on our new house. It was rough, so I know how stressed out you must be! Hang in there, the reward will be great!

I know you will miss your current home...memories galore. We have lived in our home for 22 1/2 years. The things you love right now can be planted at your new home. You could find a tree like the one in your backyard and plant it at the new place where you can enjoy it. I can't wait to see you in your new home.

Yay contract 👏!!!. Oh gosh, I will say prayers in finding something for the time frame till the house is done. We had the same issue and not one rental for only a few months. We did have an air bnb but, man it was expensive for a short time. But, everything worked out. 🤪 plus when you have kiddos and not to mention Christmas coming up , a stable place is the best. Ours thank goodness was not at the holidays (summer).
I will definitely praying something comes thru for you guys.

Ah, Crystal, I don’t know if I could do it! I LOVE your yard, and especially that tree off the back deck! I remember how it looks in the Fall! And I don’t think you have any trees in the yard at your new place! Plus leaving your wonderful neighbors! But if you must, then I’m glad you sold your house. Congrats on the contract!!!! So exciting! I know how hard it is to leave a house and friends. We moved 3 years ago after living there for 15 years. It's so hard and I shed a tear or 2 for sure. But, the memories stay with me and that's all that matters really. I hope you guys can find a place to live for a few months soon, I know that's stressful! The deck looks great!

I moved about a year ago, we had a time gap between homes. An Airbnb worked well for us. We stored most our belongings in a POD and we rented a small climate controlled indoor storage unit for our electronics. That way we were in a furnished place that allowed pets! It worked out great. We felt like we were on vacation.
Also get a moving company/ pod, rental place asap. We had a really hard time finding a pod type service when we needed it!
Congratulations on having your house under contract! It's going to be uncertainty but it will all work out for the best! When we moved, my mom owned our house so we were able to do some major work before we moved in. The best thing was that my mom sold our house to my cousin! We go over often and my kids still have friends around. Compared to where we live now, in the country where our closest neighbors are a mile away from us.

A little mums care tip...when the blooms become brown you need to deadhead them just pull off the old ones and this will help your mums keep getting new blooms. :)

Hey Crystal, I found Menards cheaper and prettier for lighting to me when I was out that way. Also plants from nurseries seem to last longer! Aldis is cheaper too for plants but I did LOVE the mixed pot of mums though!
I didn’t see Lewis stores when I was in the midwest last year. I think I’m getting my pumpkins from Trader Joes and local farms.
It’s a bummer you can’t move in before Christmas!

What a great idea using colorful plants instead of all mums. Living here in southern Arizona, the flowers don’t last too long in our triple digits. I’m hoping we’ll start to cool off in early October so we can enjoy sitting outside on our patio. I am not sure if you mentioned what kind of plant it was but I am going to go and look for them today. I love decorating for fall but it’s still pretty hot here. The deck furniture turned out beautifully. The cleaner machine really pulled a lot of dirt from the cushions. Looking forward to seeing how you will be planting your new landscape 😃

I think everyone growing up in the 60s and 70s had a Joseph's coat( Croton) in their home. They do require some extra care. We always kept ours inside. They are considered a tropical plant. Good luck with it.

I saw online if you put a clear plastic watering tray under mums it makes them last longer. I’m going to try that option this fall.
I’m not really one for decorating my home out with Easter, Halloween and Christmas (for the children 😏😆) but every time I watch one of your videos I find myself looking online to decorate my home for autumn, spring, summer etc. I know you probably don’t like the word influencer but you really are 😄 🍁🍂

Congratulations on being under contract.Ashley from Vacum do us part had a hack for flies.Take a ziplock bag fill part way with water and put some shiny pennies in it seal it up and lay them or we hung up on our umbrella it works.Hope you can find a temporary home soon
Hi Crystal! Yay! One step closer to selling the house...pending = sold! LOL Heard that you found a house to rent so grateful for that as that can be stressful with the kiddos, the holidays....geez what else can we throw in the mix??? Well, I'm praying you will be in your new home by Christmas even if everything is not completely done. The mums are great! I have to look for some. One of our local places had none so I'm hoping I can get out sometime later this week. I decorated the porch over the weekend and like you I've said goodbye to some of my plants. The geraniums are hanging in there but they are thinning out. I agree....I'm not potting any Fall plants! They either go in the existing pots outside or they don't come home! With the kiddos in school, you can at least use that time to pack up things and of course, Fall decorate! At least, no more showings and that is one thing off your plate. Take care! Don't work too hard!

I’m going to check out Lowe’s because I love the multicolored ones, too! The Croton’s have good fall colors but it’s a tropical plant and will not last through the winter here in the mountains. I rent a unit and put all my stuff on it. And when to a rental apartment on till my house was ready. Gave me a chance to do everything for the new property. Hope that can help you. Make sure you guys build a screen back porch on your new house so you can decorate out there and not have to worry about anything getting messed up or worry about bugs or flies. We love ours and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I think you would enjoy one very much.
Crystal really enjoyed todays video and I'm excited for your family's move to the new house. Before you start shopping for new furniture, put a cheap folding lawn chair in the framed in living room in the new house, it's shocking to see how big the room is.

I bought my porch pumpkins today! I waited too long last year and ended up driving all over town trying to find the right colors and sizes. I wasn’t going to make that mistake again!
I have to go to Lowes tomorrow.....big gift card have to use maybe Halloween stuff.Prefer HomeDepot.The prices are so unbelievable.OMG my mums last for years and years.After they start to look limp and the flowers are gone......trim down to like 6 inches.They grow back ready for spring blooming!Then fall the next year!Your like me I just clean my cushions a few times a year with my steamer.
As I was watching you clean your deck I thought, “Lucky Crystal…she can sit out on her deck without flies attacking!” I guess you have them in town, too. We literally can’t eat outside because of the flies on the farm. Kind of sad thinking about this Christmas and how you won’t be able to decorate your house, I really look forward to those videos, but happy you’ve found a buyer! Oh, and who doesn’t love a shopping trip to Lowe’s?!!

Look into executive or corporate rentals. If you can find some in your area they specialize in short term rentals.
I’m ready to get mums and pumpkins to went to Trader Joe’s yesterday day nothing out.But Walmart and Lows is good. Oh Crystal that’s what happens when you put up your house to early that’s what realtor’s do I wouldn’t have put it up yet you won’t have trouble selling.
