I’ve just need to finish up kitchen decorating. It’s supposed to 100 today! I really love summer but all these high temps have me longing for cooler weather to make soups and do some baking. Y’all have a awesome weekend.🍂🍁

Monday is the beginning of fair week here so I have got the fall bins from storage and will decorate this week . I can finally do the outside since the house painting finished on Saturday. Something about the county’s 4h fair and fall , the weather cools off and the pumpkins and corn stalks and hay bales around the fairgrounds puts me in the mood to decorate.
I think the "gray" trend is behind us and you should get a traditional "brown" table, as it will never go out of style. If you have the space, the larger the table the better. Your office decor came out so cute, enjoy these last few days in your home. Happy Birthday, Charlie.
I completely agree abt the grey trend FINALLY beginning to go away!!! As far as the table goes... I'd go with warmer color tones. Mainly bc its just going to never be trendy! Classic style never leaves!

Oh Crystal I was tearing up with you- remembering when we built our home and had to say gbye to our first home of 16 years- the memories we shared there were so precious. But home is wherever you are with your loved ones- exciting new memories are awaiting you. It is bittersweet. About the table- don’t settle! We ended up buying an Amish built table that had extra leaves that store right underneath the tabletop and have had it for 20 years and it is still beautiful and well built and can be extended for the big family get togethers buy quality for this piece of furniture. Harder to find Good Quality furniture in recent years. Loving your videos and watching the progress! God Bless.

We’ve moved several times and I do understand it. All those emotions. One thing we did when we moved from the house where our kids grew up was we went from room to room. Everyone sharing their memories from each room. And we said goodbye to each room, It was very healing of all those emotions. Feel it and acknowledge your time there. So helpful for your kids. Your future will be better than you ever imagined!! So happy for you!! ❤

21 years ago we moved from our home that we custom built with our 4 kids who were then, 10, 8, 5,5 to a home 2 1/2 hours away. I remember just bawling the whole way there trying to drive and pull myself together. Watching your video brought that back and choked me up. Hang in there🥺

God love your heart ❤. We were in such a rush leaving our old house. I kept thinking that the day we left I would let myself feel it all but there just was time. Probably a good thing. We lived there 14 years. It was our first home. Our kids grew up there. It was the only home our dog ever knew. It’s sad that we are not there but also awesome to be in this new chapter. I am feeling all of the emotions with you 🤗
We just built a new house and moved in in April of this year. And we moved from Wisconsin to Minnesota and every time we would come up here we would take pictures walk-through take pictures and videos and my husband put together a book of our new home on Shutterfly and we absolutely love it you can watch the process from when it’s just being framed down to us moving in. Our basement was not
finished so that is the second phase so we will be taking some more of that and our patio and other things that we do along the way and do another book. So hopefully when you’re out therefore visiting your new home you’re taking some pictures and maybe you guys can put a memory book together as well.
That's a great idea, as I have SO MANY photos that I've been taking. I will definitely have to make a book.

when I sold my mother's house for her, she was in her 80s and in senior living , a widow. I did the same, I had the house in perfect condition. I put my heart and soul into it. On the way to the closing I stopped in one last time and I went into each room and with each room I relived childhood memories. It was a beautiful quiet peaceful time as I was alone and yet I felt like I was not really alone at all.

My thought would be to keep looking until you find a table that is the right size and the right color that you absolutely LOVE! there should be more and more stuff available as we get closer to Thanksgiving when a lot of people want to buy any furniture.

Crystal when we moved in 2020 we couldn’t find any dinning room sets we really loved. We went to The Amish Showcase & got a beautiful all wood piece with 6 chairs & 2 leafs. It was an amazing deal & we’ll never have to replace it. The more we looked we felt that everything was cheaply made so that’s why we went that route. It took 2 months to come in but it was well worth the wait. We loved it so much we went back to have our bar stools made to match. Good luck on your hunt.
Kirklands and world market usually have some beautiful tables.

I like the table. 🙂. My sister found a table at an antique mall-turned out the booth guy made them. So she got to order exactly what she had pictured and loves it. It’s really big and all one surface-no extensions. Anyhow if you can’t find what you love maybe that’s an idea for you. I think all the planning and looking is fun!

The best part is not only will you and your family be making new memories in your new home, but you will always have all the videos you have posted on your channel to look back on. (ENJOYED OUR DAY TOGETHER...I agree...not wild about the table colors. I think you'll be sorry if you get it. So look around!) My D R table is large & that same style, came with 2 benches. I only use one bench at table & l thrifted 4 chairs last spring that l adore, to use instead of the 2nd bench!!! My table & benches were hand made...bought at a shop that has various booths, including 1with the hand made furniture. I also bought a side board & cupboard, for lack of a better word, that match the table/benches. So you might look for handmade!!! Good luck!

Moving is truly stessful & sad too but so wonderful in the long run! We lived in the same house 33 yr & then moved d/t job changes! I didn’t cry until the moving van pulled into our driveway! But it was a great move/ new house & closer to our kids & grandkids! New memories to make now! It was 10 yr since we moved & it has been great! Good luck to your family! Hi Crystal! You actually took the words out of my mouth...I was thinking about asking the people at the furniture store if the table came in any other colors. And if it doesn't, they may have some others they can show you (catalog) once they know what you are looking for. I am still waiting on a hutch I ordered in April and now found out that they moved the date even later than November to mid.December or beginning of January. It's crazy we are still having issues like this, but it's probably going to be this way for another year. Aw, happy birthday, Charlie, and also Stu. So cute how Charlie was going to town on the whipped cream with his cute Fall scarf. I teared up with you about the office. I remember watching the kiddos play in that room as toddlers. Bittersweet for sure. I guess life is like that. But so many new memories are coming your way in the new home!!!

I can relate to your feelings about the move. We’ve been in our house for 22 years and raised our grown boys here. We’re hoping to move within a year and I can tear up quickly just thinking about all the memories. Big hugs to you!
I would keep looking for the right table. You really need to LOVE something you’re going to use that much. You’ll know when you find the perfect one. I’m sure it will be beautiful!
If you have an IKEA in your area, check out their dining tables. They have a beautiful long table that I think would go great with your decor!!
The first giant table you seen with the different wood tones was “A”mazing!!! I would give my right arm for that one. Your current home is beautiful so I can only imagine what your new build will be like.
Hi Crystal..my thought is keep searching for a table you love. I think greys are on the way out and browns are trending. Personally I think a more authentic woody look would be what I would choose. I am sure if you hold out the look you love will be available somewhere.

You should see if there are any carpenters/woodworkers near you that build
tables. Usually you can get much better quality and workmanship if you go that route! Plus you can pick your finishes and style and customize it much more for your family
Love these day in the life videos Crystal! My advice would be to wait to find a table that you love. I just couldn't find a table that I wanted and settled on one 5 years ago. Big mistake. I wish I would have waited. Not sure what your budget is but Pottery Barn has some gorgeous tables. The Toscano extending dining table is my favorite. And you might also want to wait until you see the space in person because that may give you a whole different idea. I know, it is so hard to wait when it is such an exciting time! Personally didn't care for the mixed colored table. I liked the table itself. Except if planning for guest including grandma and grandpa's the bench is not practical. My daughter has a similar table and kids love the bench but always want me to sit in between them. . Lol not the best for us seniors😊

I’ve already decorated but loved seeing the touches you put on your office, I teared up right along with you😢. I agree with you about the Hoover cleaners, I have an upright carpet cleaner which has gotten a real workout with my dog’s surgery and illness. I won’t go into detail, but that thing has cleaned every mess and I think it’s the best $$ I’ve ever spent! I liked the dining tables you were looking at, hopefully the perfect one will show up soon! Also, I love the multi-colored wood stain table!! So many decor possibilities. I love the idea of not having worry with perfectly matching or coordinating with any one stain color. The mosaic of stains gives so many options for decor, chairs, etc. Just my opinion.😘
OMG, YOU'RE FROM WATERTOWN?! My mom was born and raised in Watertown, and my dad born and raised in Brookings!!! We were just there in May visiting family (I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, but most of my extended fam is still in SD) . So cool!!
