Saw the Lew Lewis Band support Dr Feelgood at the UEA Norwich, he and Lee did a harmonica duel at the end of the Feelgoods set ,shall never forget that ,fantastic players both .

My favourite Lew story? He robbed the post office he cashed his giro at, then did his get away on a push bike! Keep a seat and a drink warm for me until I get there, shouldn't be too long.
One of my fave Clash songs is Version City from Sandinista...Lew played a killer harmonica on this track...also a convicted armed robber and served time in jail...what a character
My brother put Lew up in his Southend flat during his troubled times. Had a few interesting evenings round there. He was quite a character.......RIP Lew.
First time watching lew lewis, I just discovered who he was. He plays on the track Version City by The Clash and a few other tracks off their album Sandanista! Amazing harmonica playing on that song, I finally decided to find out who was playing that and I come to find the name Lew Lewis. I've ben playing harmonica a few months now, looks like gonna have to listen to more of his stuff. Great harp player, I wonder if he's well known in the harmonica world? I haven't heard his name before. Great player.
I saw Lew Lewis Reformer in London around 1979 and I said to my self "That guitarist looks like me!". His name was Richard Taylor the same as mine!
