FISHING SOUTH AFRICA 2020 - SURF LAUNCHING BOAT KAYMANS

What a nice day out fishing south africa 2020 and surf launching boat through the iconic Kaaimans river mouth. No spearfishing south africa 2020 as the water was very dirty after strong south east winds.This estuary does not allow access a lot but when it does surf launching here is magical.
Normally the deep sea fishing is amazing when you get the chance to launch your boat through the surf at Kaaimans but is was not our day for deep sea fishing.
We still had loads of fun on the boat cathing a couple of sharks and having a day out on the boat.
Coming back trough the surf we were worried that the water would be to shallow for the boat but luckily we had no problems.

I spoke to an old commercial fisherman last week who did long lining. He said the guys who long line on the bottom tend to only take a couple fish out of a school, but the guys who long line on the surface wrecks the fish, ending up with a lot of by catch.

There is a long liner called lady rose witch is based in p e to catch sharks only they were fishing of mgawalana 3 months ago

Thank for the comment. Seems that the long liner was operating 1nm away from shore and that is legal :-(
