Dear Chris, thanks for doing this for us. It's a shame that they're not testing the products enough before selling. I hope you can get some compensation. Love your artworks 🥰
Thanks for letting us know. You should try MIX, it's great. I'm lucky enough to live close to Krista and pick it up in person. No odor and you can use it to thicken too thin paints if necessary. It's also translucent so it never dulls your colors.
Base on the material data sheet required to be published, the catalyst is a varnish. Maybe JoSanja varnish would be comparable. Also, Nancy’s replies to her student questions indicate that Floetrol could also be mixed in to achieve desired consistency.
Thank you for giving this product a try. It’s too bad it didn’t work out since pebeo makes a great paint. I would let the company know how offensive the smell is. How do you know it isn’t harmful? The colors are pretty and you gave it a good try. 🥰
Well. This is informative. I was just considering buying their pouring medium to try it out. Not the kit, just the Pm, but if it stinks, that's a huge no for me. Lol. I'm happy enough with my Floetrol or MIX pouring medium or my bloom recipe with house paint and polycrylic when I want to do blooms.
I'm glad to be of help! I really wanted to like it, but I was so put off by the odor I tossed the unused portion and said never again! Thanks for watching Windi!
Thanks Chris. I love the effect of this technique but the smell and cost is a deal breaker for me. Thanks for this video before I bought the starter kit.
Yeah, I tossed the remaining product...it was that bad. Can certainly get the same look with Australian floetrol in your swipe color. I was blessed with a bottle by a subscriber!
Thank you for doing this! I love your colors and the end results are okay, but regular ingredients (that don’t smell) are better. I hope you let Pebeo know. Thank you so much!! 💐
Also, I suspect the mixing directions maximize the use of pouring medium. I ordered the kit as well but did it as much to watch the video as anything else.
Thanks for your honest appraisal! I certainly would risk my own and my spouses health with this it seems because my studio is in the middle of our home!
@@ChrisJeszeck yes I did and I don’t like the fact that my hands got all sticky from the pouring medium. I had trouble with the mixing ratios as well and each time I mix my consistencies were different . for example I mixed 90% medium to 10% paint as a 9:1 ratio and my consistency still did not look right. I gave up after 4 tries
They were trying and failing to do blooms. And you are right...there are so many ingredients to do a "bloom" and it is expen$ive! Tara has really made some beautiful art with it but just the Aussie floetrol alone breaks my bank. I did get a good CA if you are interested I'll give you the recipe. Thanks for testing this for us! I hope your lungs feel ok now.😊💙💚💜💚💙
It took hours for my throat to stop burning! I'm not really interested in the bloom technique, to be honest. If it's done well, it pretty much looks the same and I like the surprise of the other techniques! Thank you as always, Tera!
@@susieschleppenbach5054 I use this CA in a lot of my pours. I do not do blooms. It's from Arisa Roo Art. The only change I made was that I added more (probably 5 drops more) of the minwax (red label) wood conditioner. I'll go look to see if I can get the link to that video.
@@susieschleppenbach5054 it's number 42. Video not Arisa Roo Art Beautiful blooms with my new cell activator. She takes you through step by step on how to make it and what a huge difference in price compared to Aussie floetrol. Hope that helps.😊
Hi Chris! I absolutely love Nancy's art.pops up on my Instagram and always impressed. Very sad to put her name behind this product. First because you are a talented artist and I trust your honest review. But to spend that much on a kit and not be impressed at all..2 thumbs down. Have you tried Mix yet?? It's pretty much my go to for everything. You can do blooms, flips, ring pours etc with beautiful transparency. Never lumpy. I see what you mean by the breaking up. This art is expensive enough. Sorry you were a guinea pig. 😞. But if it helps at all you saved a lot 9f us from buying! 🤭. I have enough house paint, pigments, inks, PMs sitting around that any artist would have a blast here. I'm a Mix addict.
I do like pebeo iridescent paints but with any of the paint pouring kits, I find them to be a complete waste of money. The Painted Dreamer does pretty good and has developed a simple system to making bloom swipes.
Oh my goodness! Sounds like you might need to get rid of it in the toxic waste bin. 😆 Painting is supposed to be enjoyable, not burn your throat!!! 😲😄They were very pretty colours though. What is a catalyst? I've only heard of the wedge. 🤷♀️
I thought maybe I had an "off" kit, but some others have commented the same. We can still take color inspiration from Nancy...she's marvelous in that regard!
Dear Chris, thanks for doing this for us. It's a shame that they're not testing the products enough before selling. I hope you can get some compensation. Love your artworks 🥰
Well, it may have been my mixing, but the smell was so off putting, I wouldn't buy it again even if I had been successful! I tossed what remained! 😘
Sorry that it didn't turn out but thank you for taking the chance and showing us how it went. Much appreciated
Happy to give it a try...and happy to toss what was left in the hazardous waste receptacle!
LOL. Shame! But I get it 😹 also made me giggle. Much love
Thanks for your experiment!! It’s nice to see what works and what doesn’t.
Thank you for watching! 😘
Thanks Chris. I was just about to order the same. I will hold off for now. Cheers Lee
Maybe I got a spoiled set, who knows. But it was Awful! Get yourself some Australian floetrol to use for the same effects. 😉
I agree with you. I bought the medium and catalyst when it first came out and I was terribly disappointed in the medium because I love Pebeo paints..
The paints are nice and creamy, but I tossed the rest of the kit!
Thanks for letting us know. You should try MIX, it's great. I'm lucky enough to live close to Krista and pick it up in person. No odor and you can use it to thicken too thin paints if necessary. It's also translucent so it never dulls your colors.
I Should try it...I have so much PM already, but I do see marvelous pieces made with it!
Good to know Chris! Thanks for this video... I'll stick to untinted house paint and varnish for my pouring medium💕
What is your recipe, if I may ask, Lori?
Base on the material data sheet required to be published, the catalyst is a varnish. Maybe JoSanja varnish would be comparable. Also, Nancy’s replies to her student questions indicate that Floetrol could also be mixed in to achieve desired consistency.
I think the true secret to Nancy's success is her eye for color and composition!
Thank you so much for the review. Since I have COPD I really have to watch the smells and fumes.
It was really awful! I tossed the remaining ingredients!
Thank you for taking the plunge for all of us. ❤️
You are welcome! Paints yes, medium no!
Thank you for doing this. I would have stopped at the smell. I’ll just stick with what I use. Your a trooper
Lol...thanks, Sandi! 😘
Have you tried spinning it
Not interested in pursuing success with this product. My throat burned for hours afterwards. I tossed the remainder!
I think just plain old silicone or hair oil with a good pillow is the best. Thank you, Chris!
When I want cells, yes, I will reach for the silicone. I had to try this though. Tossed what remained!
Thank you for giving this product a try. It’s too bad it didn’t work out since pebeo makes a great paint. I would let the company know how offensive the smell is. How do you know it isn’t harmful? The colors are pretty and you gave it a good try. 🥰
I kept the paints and tossed the rest. And yes, I will write to Pebeo. 😘

Awww...sorry! Yours must have had an odor, too? I thought maybe I had a bad batch...
Thank you for all that you do for us!!!
It's usually a pleasure, Cher, but not this time! LOL
Thank you for your video and option.
I would like to say "my pleasure" but it definitely was not! Haha!
Ty for the informational video.. you got more cells than I ever get.. lol .. I use Australian flo .. but still no decent cells😢
I use silicone when I want cells...so easy. I'll do a video with it again soon. 😘

Thank you for sharing this with us 👏
You're welcome Domi! 😊
I love Pebeo paints, especially the iridescent one’s. Don’t think I want to try the other two things. 🌸
The paints were very nice...the medium...a big NO from me.
Thanks for info, Chris. 🎶💞🎶
Thanks for watching, Jan! 😘

I highly recommend staying away from this product! 👌

Paints are great, but the PM gets a big NO from me!
Thank you for the honesty and heads up. I will not purchase the kit

Thanks very much but for me is too late. I bought the set and I have not tested yet. Now I see that I spent money for nothing. Shame.
Sorry to hear that. I made this video almost two years ago. Maybe the formula has improved! Godd luck!
It looks like a xerox copy of a piece of art. Weird. Thanks for testing!
Weird indeed! Hosed off and tossed the remainder! 😁

LOL!! Thank you DLeigh! 😊
Well, thank you for showing us this product, ugh. The smell, the paint breakup, not worth the torture and the time. Wish you could get a refund!
I tossed all the was left except the paint! LOL!
Not impressed with her artwork either. Ridiculous prices also.
I think her work is marvelous, but I can't help but feel there is more to what she uses than is in this kit. 🤪
I tried with Pebeo color and kit but didn’t work, and is very expensive sorry Nancy Wood I don’t recommend this kit !!!!!!
Too bad you didn't watch my video first! Very disappointing product.
