mary kamau amen 🙏🏾
mary kamau exactly my dear
There shall be coming Kenyan generations attached to S.A! I don't know why but S.A n fellow continent men. We are Africans n Africa is our business
It was hell living those days I can still remember vividly
A Kenyan here in 2024
Young South Africans may not understand how we cried and helped them during apartheid. One of their former heads of State lived in Zambia and so were many South African immigrants. ANC had its headquarters in Lusaka at some period when Kenneth Kaunda was president. I still enjoy South African gospel music
I'm Kenyan but I just madly love South African choir songs.. So emotional..
Am Zambian and want to share love with you. This song brings so much memories
SA has come a long way. May all those who died to break away from apartheid RIP
Iam a Kenyan, I love southafrican songs Because it inspires, like that of Sarafinah Freedom is coming.
This bought tears to my eyes. Always will be one of South Africa best songs
Am Kenyan and this South Africa tune makes me almost shed tears, please South Africans don't forget your history. Brethren in the rest of Africa feel pained when we are not able to embrace each other. What a music piece! Can't lie. All Africa loves you and your good music!!!

Where can I get the score?
Beautiful harmonies, but not feeling any energy coming through.
❤❤❤❤
DOPE EVER 2017#
Nice one
Where can I get the score for this awesome piece?
Isn't this a beautiful thing? Look at how the dress fit the whites 😭 what's happening in 2023 ? 😭😭😭😭
No need to call them “the whites” you can also just say students or choristers.
Energy missing
Must every song be about party time? Try invoking emotions of pain, torture, hunger, rape, incarceration, injustice, mourning, violent death ...would you then sing your party-song ?
what is the meaning of "Safa Saphel Isizwe"?
"The Black nation is dying
The African nation is dying
Who will lead us to the day of freedom" that's basically the whole song
Thankx melissah
Safa = It's dead. Saphela = it's finished. Isizwe = the nation/land. SabaNsundu = of brown people (in vernacular we called ourselves Brown before Black)
Rainbow
Zuma must go shame
Where is the emotion? The students are crying out who will lead us? I was hoping to feel that.
Doesn't sound genuine at all, because of obvious reasons of course
Dontsa_unchained I agree.
OF COURSE!!!!
Indeed
I scrolled down looking for this comment... thank you
Facts
Why are there white people singing about the pain of apartheid?
Because music transcends. Because the song is beautiful. Because they wanted to. Because the conductor of the folk section wanted the choir to sing it. It could be anything. Maybe even, there was a whole group of people, *insert race here*, that collectively decided it was a beautiful remembrance, regardless of the colour of their skin. Maybe that choir is founded on love, and anything and everything that is sung is sung as a piece of worship embracing whatever is being described. And I think, most importantly, this might be a choir that embraces the suffering our country experienced, no matter the race.
How are those basses though! Damn. Beautiful work.
Jelly Fish I asked the same question myself 😑😑😑
we are now united we need to be one nation
that's in the past ,even though I dont we should forget how painful it was a frustrating moment
what i mean is apartheid is over a lot has changed we need to stick together
@@caitlin8692 we’re not united , you just wanna dilute yourself into thinking we’re united
Because the school choir is integrated and it's everyone's history. It's not like in America where CRT is banned. The white kids in S.A know exactjy whatvtheir parents and grandparents did. Our apartheid history is black, white, and everyone in-between's history. Oppressor and oppressed.
Que vient faire les peaux blanches ici heinnn
Stupid and racist comment
To many colonizers
No energy... Good tunes.
They don't understand the words and pain in this song so they can't sing it properly.......you have to wail this song not sing it
I was part of this choir and I am white. All of us where born after apartheid and we all tried our best to learn and understand from each other. For you to give this comment shows you have no ambition to change the narrative, just live in a place where you judge people.
Those same white people you sing along with benefit for what they forefathers did to us
Whoa why are there white people in the chorus?!
Some people never learn.
I’m sorry but this sound horrible, no emotion whatsoever 🙄 wonder why
THE IRONY... 😂😂😂SINGING A FREEDOM SONG WITH YOUR OPRESSORS..
🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ kwa zulu natal.. Disappointment...
These generation of the whites singing here are innocent of the crimes committed by their fore parents.forgivness is key to healing and a united south Africa.
