#senzenina #africa
The original song is a cry by black South Africans asking why are they being killed by white people. Asking what have they done (Senzeni na) my mom used to sing this song at home and you would be emotional.
I dedicate this song to those that fought and died for the freedom I enjoy today. I want them to know that I am grateful 🙏
To every soul in South Africa and beyond that fought, wounded and died for the Freedom of South Africa I dedicate this everlasting song.
The lead singer's voice is one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard, it is truly heaven sent.
Yes it is. And he is very skilled not to be drowned out but to project over an entire choir.
I too agree, I have tried to search for more of his vocals. Such a shame
I too agree, I have tried to search for more of his vocals. Such a shame
The lead singer could be a global superstar
I first learnt this song many years ago outside the South African House in London during the bad days of a cruel system that operated in SA. People did do things to bring light in the darkness, In London a brave and determined group of comrades held a 24-hour 365 365-day ongoing picket outside the embassy of South Africa. I hope that one day there will be no need for protests and we all live as one. Sometimes you can be carried by the music that is born out of oppression yjay you do not need to know all the words, When the soul hears the body follows and so does the mind. I do miss all my Comrades today.
To all freedom fighters and lovers of freedom for South Africa in the homeland or abroad, I dedicate this song.
Nkosi Sikele Afrika.
This reminds me of the apartheid days - we would sing this song in the burial of those who died at the hands of police. Our old church walls know this song very well. Today it's a memory of an unanswered question. Without doubt, Faith in God kept this nation sane through it all.
It is a struggle song in RSA in the days of Apartheid very deeply touching
This song is one of the highlights from the movie, The Power of One. I highly recommend it.
One of my favourite books and movies. 🇿🇦🇨🇦
I was a teen when I first saw it and I felt pain. Powerful.
What a wonderful voice, lovely choir.
Thank you!
To my late father in blessed memory!
I miss you everyday of my life..
May your gentle and loving soul find rest in the bossom of the almighty God until the last day of resurrection.
I miss you dearly Sir!
Adusi, i know your late father is smiling down on you. no matter where you are. no matter what you’re doing.
@@thembelihlemasina3018 am grateful dear beautiful!

Robala ka kotso mosia
I was moved by the whole score of the movie The Power of One, and this choir has done a beautiful justice to a piece about peace of soul ❤❤❤❤❤
The song is very beautiful, This song is mainly made as a protest song for the anti-apartheid, the song is also for funeral songs I love this song and I watched it again and again. I recommend this song to people who are against black people.
So very beautiful..why can humankind dwell on the beauty of each other?I feel this song in my heart ❤️ 💙 thank you and your voices are outstanding ❤️
Every time I miss my late father, I listen to this song.. 😢💔
Praying for all those who lost their lives during the Crisis of the north west and south west Regions of Cameroon, to all the innocent children who didn't deserve to be killed, to all our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, grandparents and all our friends.. 😢😢😢May we meet again in heaven 🙏🙏❤
"Isono sethu ubumnyama", that is how we sang it, a very painful song
as one South Africa, we all mourn the same. one loss is felt by all.
long live a united South Africa
God bless Mother Africa. I love South Africa hope one day i will be there to experience the beautiful of this Holy Land. I Can't control my tears after listening to this song. It will be my song for prayer this and many years.
In memory of my aunt and cousin who lost their battle to COVID 🕊
The song touches my heart. It reminds me of my late father musoke William sewankambo. May you rest in eternal peace. We love you dad
this is not just a song!!! it a message. we shall meet in Heaven... everyone will explain !! !!!!.. even THEM will explain my fellow Africans!!!.. Amandla!!!!!!!!!!✊✊✊✊✊✊
the lead has an amaaazing voice. kudos to them all. wonderfully sung
I dedicate this song to all foreign nationals who died in xenophobic attacks in the hands of our fellow South African brothers .
You are out of order! Don't get too excited! Some foreigners are wrecking havoc in SA disobeying the law, and when SAs stand up are called xenophobic.
How about dedicating it to the thousands of South African victims who died of violent crime commited by African migrant thugs, drug peddlers, & human traffickers.
@@baerd4102 at the end of it all it’s not about comparison, competition or individual differences, persons, country origin BUT for every victim, innocent souls and loved ones that have departed from this world… In their loving memory
Piss off out silly foreigner
@@baerd4102 He said what he said, don't try to convince him otherwise. You can dedicate it to anyone you want, you don't have to reply to his. Until xenophobia comes close to you, you won't understand. Someone kills you just for where you're from... Nothing else. Please take a chill pill
Very emotional song... touches the heart-strings & brings a tear to the eye.
In memory of Nelson Mandela.
Iwas12 yres of age my late cousin from robin island and he said to me and my late sister this song Sim no 76
Sad, sad memories of days gone by in South Africa.
Beautiful to hear the voices and languages of my birth country. 🇿🇦🇨🇦
Thank you very much for this magnificent music!
I found this after asking what the song was that the crowd were singing in Peter Gabriel's 'Biko'
So beautiful and even more beautiful to see it sung by young South Africans who at the time of Biko would have been divided by unjust laws.
I am pretty sure South Africa is still segregated just like before.
In loving memory of our village 6 boys who lost their life in a horrofic car accident, RIP boys 🙏
This beloved Song Echoes throughout our suffering continent - Nkosi Sikelela IAFRIKA
In memory of my father he was
Shot to death. Moya oa hae o phomole ka khotso
deepest condolences to you and your family dear. May his soul rest in internal peace. be comforted dear.
This song is featured in the wonderful film, the power of one starring Stephen Dorff! If you have never seen this movie… It is a wonderful film about the horrors of apartheid and also stars Morgan Freeman!
The power of one funeral scene really emotional moment since watching it as a young man it has played in my head, it's only now I know the meaning.
I first heard this in the movie “the power of one”
The song reminds me of the film on Mandela/Winnie by Danny Clover and Alfre Woodard.
In memory of my late parents
Just love Choral Music. Beautiful sound!
In memory of my grandmother and grandfather whose lost their battle due to covid 🕊️
