    Thanks for sharing! I love my C3. Roads here in the eastern US aren't very good either. I agree its a pretty fast bike, I put zipp 303's on mine. It also climbs well. Beautiful where you are!

    Very nice. I have an older RS 2006 model I think. I have SRAM force on it. Back then they didn’t allow for much tire clearance. I’m runnig 700x25 and that’s about as large as I can go. I’m interested in updating to something with hydraulic disc and larger more modern tire clearances. I’m also considering electronic shifting, but I’m not 100% set on that jump. I’m mostly just riding tar and chip roads here in the Eastern US. SW Ohio specifically. I have access to gravel roads too, but I’m not set on a gravel bikers I’m mostly road oriented. Thanks for the look.

    Nice review! How does the climb and sprint? I am currently on an R2 (58cm) that’s a tad too large for me and need to sell. I test rode a C3 (56cm) and the fit was spot on but I am unsure of pulling the trigger because It’s all hills (and beat up roads) where I live.

      You wont notice a performance degrade over the R2 anywhere except the very steepest slopes. Due to the geometry it will feel a touch more sluggish when grinding out of the saddle compared to the R2, but I doubt your Strava times would reflect a difference! The comfort will make up for it on the flat and broken roads.

    Nice overview (another C3 fan here!)...you hit all the high points that drove my choice, too. It's a wonderfully comfortable, versatile bike that doesn't give up much at all to a road bike with more traditional race geometry (e.g., R3).
    Questions: what length stem and what width handlebar are you using? I'm considering some changes...just looking for some more tangibles regarding steering feel.

      As stock for me so 100mm stem and 42cm bars.

    Hi Chris, nice review ! You mentioned the R series a bit. I am on my 2nd R series bike, and would like to know how you find the geometry of the C3 in comparison. I have an ongoing back problem, so considering looking at the C series as an every day bike, commuting etc. I think I need something with a more upright position. Cheers ! Greg

      Greg Fletcher hi Greg. If you like the R series you will love this bike. It has that cervelo feel. You notice the taller head tube and longer wheelbase. I have to say, if I was in your position, I would look at the Aspero now and put some commuting slicks on it. The future is big tyres and clearance 🤙🏻

      @@chrisrebbeck Cheers Chris, I still enjoy fast rides, so not sure about the Aspero, in saying that, I have the R5 for fast days. I have Roval CLX50 wheels on the R5 which are wide, so i'm planning on fitting 28c tyres. Some say they are just as fast as the 25 or even 23s.
      Anyway, will check all options ! Cheers :)

    Did you consider the Roubaix? It has a near aero shape and higher stack which would put you upright? I had the same problem didn’t want the diverge so I went Roubaix. Cervelo C line was not available anywhere so I got the Roubaix. What are your thoughts on Roubaix vs C3 Ultegra carbon versions?

      Love the roubaix but they age poorly I think. Always look nice when first released then look funny a couple of years later when the tech has moved on. Prefer my classic lines of the bokeh now.

    I have a C3 ultegra with Di2. I was wondering if anyone gets a clattering noise on bumpy roads from the internal cabling?

      I didnt. I have moved the bike on now.

    Hi Chris, hope you are well. The C3 is still going strong and still looks as good as in the vid. 👍

      Great news. My first venture into all road bikes that set me on this adventure cycling path! Loved the C3.

    So this bike is as capable as a diverge and good enough for road bike type rides!! Why this bike over Aspero?

    • @chrisrebbeck
      @chrisrebbeck  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      cisko213 The diverge could fit bigger tyres and had 20mm suspension so I wouldn’t take this on as extreme ground as the diverge, but its certainly good for 75% of what a diverge could do. The asperity didn’t exist when I got this but looks a great choice. If you mainly road ride though, this would still be the better option IMO

    Exactly what tires are you running? I just ordered one for road only use, my local roads are in bad shape and I’m tired of getting beaten up by my R5. But I still want to be fast.

      Pirelli cinturato 32mm run tubeless. For you, max out your volume, go tubeless if able and select a supple tyre (especially if you can run tubeless).

    What is the weight of the bike

    @Ppluissz6892 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello I am struggling with sizing. I am 1.85 with a 32 inch inseam. What are you riding 56 or 58. Would you recommend the 56 or 58 for myself

    Is it a gravel bike?

    • @chrisrebbeck
      @chrisrebbeck  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      8a Fitt no. It’s an all road bike really. Light gravel would be fine, but not chunky stuff too limited on tyres.
